I’m so excited about revealing our latest collection! Our La Dolce Vita collection is filled with all sorts of fun things inspired by the Mediterranean vibe I’m seeing pop up literally everywhere. We have so many unique and fun products…there are 29 new products in this collection! I had so much fun designing everything, the ideas just kept coming, and when that happens I’ve learned you just gotta go with it, lol. Sometimes collections just feel like they design themselves, and this was one of them!
We’ll be introducing all of the new products from this collection today and tomorrow here on the blog before they hit the shop on Friday morning, July 10 at 10am EDT. Let’s dig into today’s new product intros!

Below is a look at today’s new product intros from our La Dolce Vita collection. Click on the links below each product heading for more details and information (sentiments, measurements, etc.), or click HERE to see all of the new products in the shop. (**Please Note: although you can preview the new products in the shop, they will not be available to add to cart or purchase until stock is added on Friday, July 10 at 10am EDT ).
If you prefer to watch and listen rather than read, I have put together a showcase video for you!

Citrus Fields die, stencil, and embossing folder
We can never resist anything with bright, cheery lemons! Our new Citrus Fields will definitely brighten up your projects and your recipient’s day! If you’ve enjoyed some of the “bouquet” dies we’ve released recently (like our Wild Wetlands or Best Bouquet Details dies), you’ll love this one as well. It starts with the one-piece base onto which all of the individual pieces get layered. No having to create your own bouquets, that part is all done for you (but there’s still plenty of opportunity for playing with your own designs using the individual elements as you wish)! The Citrus Fields stencil and embossing folder are perfect for gorgeous backgrounds. They can be used independently or combined for truly special colored and embossed backgrounds that definitely have a little wow factor!

Laurie Willison is joining us via Youtube today with a video showcasing the Citrus Fields die. She’s going to show you step-by-step how to put together this sweet card…

Canned & Canned Lite dies
Have you dove into the sardine trend yet? I’ll admit…you’ll never see me eating them, but designing cute projects with them? Yes, please! We have two fun new dies…Canned and the mini version, Canned Lite. The full-size version is A2-sized for creating interactive cards where you can actually open the flap to reveal the contents of the can. The mini version has all the same interactive potential, but in miniature! There are plenty non-interactive options as well by using the “rolled” open option, making these dies just plain fun.

Something Fishy stamp set, die, & Sentiments die
To embellish our sardine cans, we need some fun and punny sentiments, don’t you agree? Our new Something Fishy stamp set is filled with just that…fun sentiments and decorative elements to use on the Canned dies. This fun set covers lots of occasions, from babies (teeny sardiny!), to birthdays (o-fish-ally old!), anniversaries, even Valentines, and more. For lots of layering possibilities there is a coordinating Sentiments die. We also have a Something Fishy die, filled with sweet sardines (there’s even a baby!) to fill your cans. The size of the fish in the Something Fishy die set are sized to fit in the full-sized version of the Canned die.

Ciao Bella Borders stamp set & die
This new set is just teeming with possibilities! These fun frames fit on the full-sized Canned die, but can be used for oh-so-much more! Done in a hand-drawn whimsical style, these borders will make their way into your projects throughout the year. The coordinating die adds even more versatility with the inner and outer acting as separate dies, which means you can cut frames, windows, and mats. There’s also a handful of “hello” (ciao!) sentiments and individual elements to round out the set.

Coastal Cuttings die
Another fun “bouquet” die to add to our line up…Coastal Cuttings, inspired by wildflowers that bloom along the coast. It’s a fun size to use as a focal point, or it can also be tucked into the full-size Canned die for another fun way to use that set. This bouquet starts with a one-piece base onto which all of the detail pieces get layered, much like our Wild Wetlands or Best Bouquet dies.

I’m excited to share tons of projects with you!
First up, let’s dig into the fun Canned and Something Fishy suites! I had so much fun creating all sorts of different designs using this set.

All of these use the same products…Canned and Canned Lite dies, Something Fishy die, Something Fishy stamp set and coordinating Sentiments die. The decorative frames were all stamped with the Ciao Bella Borders stamp set and cut with the coordinating die. If I used anything else I will note it below when we look at each one in more detail!

Let’s take a closer look at each of these!
First up is an A2-sized card that uses the Canned Lite die to completely fill a card front with all sorts of tiny sardine cans, each one embellished with elements from the Canned Lite and Something Fishy stamp set and coordinating die.

I did a mix of “closed” cans as well as a few that feature the rolled open/key option, in which I tucked a few of the tiny fish from the Canned Lite die. The sentiment is from the Something Fishy stamp set, cut with the coordinating Sentiments die. When creating all of these little “collages” on each can, I did pull a few things from my scrap bin as well – some Little Linked Labels using the die, stamp set, and embossing folder. The backdrop is a panel of white woodgrain cardstock for just a nice bit of subtle texture in the background.

Up next, a pair of adorably fun baby cards with matching mini tags!

First, a closer look at the pink version…the little “make room for one more” sentiment is so sweet for baby, along with the teeny sardiny on the inside. The Something Fishy die includes a smaller “baby” fish that even has a little blankie to swaddle him/her in! The fish on the cover are a mix of dies from the Canned, Canned Lite, and Something Fishy dies. I cut them from watercolor paper and just added some blue using watercolors and colored pencil details. The little Canned Lite die is perfect for creating coordinating gift tags!

The boy version is similar, just different colors and a slightly different layout.

And again I used the Canned Lite die to create a little coordinating tag.

This one would be a fun anniversary or Valentine’s Day card. I used the Something Fishy die to tuck two lovey-dovey fish on the inside, along with a fun sentiment from the Something Fishy stamp set.

This one also uses some lemons from our new Citrus Fields die. The little floral accents stamped around the lemons are from our previously released Capsule Collection Floral Borders stamp set.

A fun “best fishes” version. I forgot to snap a photo of the inside, but there’s a gift card tucked inside. The Something Fishy fish were cut from watercolor paper and watercolored a bit plus some colored pencil details.

This next one doesn’t use the full “base” of the Canned die, just the front/lid portion. I cut it on the fold to create the shaped/folded base, and tucked a gift card inside.

This next one uses the Canned Lite die on a regular A2 card base to create an interactive element. You can open that cute little sardine can by the pull-tab to reveal a sentiment from the Something Fishy stamp set. The blue decorative cuts are from the full-sized Canned die, and the green panel in the background was cut using an older die called Deco Frames.

This last one from the Canned suite uses the new Coastal Cuttings die. It’s sized perfectly to be able to tuck into the full-sized Canned die.

So much fun to tuck other things in this cute can! This time I used the “rolled” open version. You can place the “roll” wherever you need, to fit with whatever you are placing in your can, then just trim away the excess from the cover piece. I also used the base of the Canned die to cut a panel of cardstock “on the fold” to create the shaped card base.

Before we move on from the fish-themed projects, I have one more that uses the Something Fishy die, this time paired with the Making Waves stencil, die, and embossing folder we released back in May.

Just so fun! I used the “birthday fishes” sentiment from the Something Fishy stamp set, cut with the matching die. The fish were all cut using the Something Fishy die, and this time I added their little party hats, which are included in the Something Fishy die.

Next up, I have several project using the new Citrus Fields suite.

First up is this pretty Capsule-shaped card that uses the Capsule Basics die and embossing folder to cut the shaped base. The pretty border was cut using the Pretty Picado die. The white pinked-edge layer was cut with the Capsule Star Studded Borders die, and the blue was cut with the Capsule Basics and a new background die we’ll be introducing tomorrow, called Cottage Tile! The pretty citrus cluster was of course created with the new Citrus Fields die.

This one uses the Citrus Fields die layered over a Capsule Basics scalloped layer, which was also cut with the narrow border from the Pretty Picado die. Behind that is a pretty blue background that was stamped with a new background stamp you’ll be seeing tomorrow, called Tile Style. This is a 5″ x 7″ card.

And finally from this trio, a pretty A2-sized card that uses the Citrus Fields stencil and embossing folder to create that gorgeous lemon pattern, which was then cut with the Capsule Basics die and framed out with a pink Filigree Borders diecut. In the background is again the pretty new Cottage Tile background die you’ll be seeing more of tomorrow!

Up next, how about turning those pretty lemons into limes, using fresh shades of green!

This 5″ x 7″ card uses the Citrus Fields stencil and embossing folder to create that gorgeous background. The key here was choosing different shades of green for the limes and the foliage. I went with more blue-greens for the limes themselves, and more yellow-greens for the foliage. The stenciling was done on a very pale green cardstock (Woodstock Grigio). The focal point was done by layering some Ciao Bella Borders using the stamp set and matching die. I also arranged a few individual diecuts from the Citrus Fields set. The sentiment is a new addition to our Simple Sentiments series, called Simple Everyday Sentiments (you’ll be seeing that one tomorrow as well!), stamped onto a Shortbread Shapes Rectangle Labels diecut.

This A2-sized card from the duo uses that pretty Citrus Fields die for the focal point. Again, using all sorts of shades of green to do the ink blending on the diecuts. I also used colored pencils to add shading and details. The sentiment is from the new mini version of the Simple Everyday set (again, we’ll be revealing that one tomorrow as well!). The background here was done with a fun new die you’ll also be seeing tomorrow called Checks Out!

I have a few more Citrus Fields projects that I’ll share in tomorrow’s post (but you can get a preview in the video linked at the beginning of this post)! Before I turn it over to the Inspiration Team to see all of their wonderful projects, I have a couple more cards using the new Coastal Cuttings die.

This first Capsule-shaped one uses our Capsule Basics die and embossing folder to create the shaped base with a window-cut-out. I backed the cut-out with acetate and positioned my Coastal Cuttings bouquet over the top. I diecut it from watercolor paper and had fun pulling out my watercolor palette to paint all those pretty blooms before assembling it. That pretty embossed border was done by cutting our Capsule Fixed Border Large from woodgrain cardstock, then embossing with our Rosemal Reflections embossing folder.

The second card in this pair is an A2-sized card that uses the new Ciao Bella Borders stamp set and matching die to create the window cut-out. I backed the cut-out with a panel of white cardstock and this time instead of assembling the Coastal Cuttings bouquet as intended, I just used the individual blooms to do my own thing. I also snipped apart the base to have some stems and foliage bits to tuck in. The sentiment is from the new Simple Everyday Mini Sentiments set (another of tomorrow’s intros, so stay tuned for more on that!).
