Good morning and happy September! I can hardly believe summer is *almost* officially over. It’s time to start thinking about the cozy season…my favorite! I’m popping in with a little shop update this morning…our fall collection is coming to the shop next week!

The Autumn Edit is filled with autumn/fall/halloween versions of the series you’ve been loving throughout this year, plus a few surprises (always gotta have a few surprises up our sleeve)!

We’ll start sharing a few sneak peeks late this week, and I hope you’ll join us on the blog on Monday and Tuesday, September 7 & 8 for the full product reveals. On Wednesday, 9/9, the new collection will arrive in the shop at 10am EDT!

This is Caly Person and I’m excited to be here again to share a project using the Floral Arches suite (stamp + stencil, and die).  This set pairs perfectly with the Arched Sentiments stamp set and matching die.  I have a video to share showcasing these products and hope you enjoy seeing it come together on my card!

I started by stenciling with the Floral Arches stencil set.  The stencils are etched for an A2-sized panel, making everything line up perfectly.  Watch the video for my trick to line up the die!

Floral details are then added by using the Floral Arches stamp.  It really gives more dimension and interest to the stenciled image.  There is a handy guide that comes with this collection to show you how the stamp and stencil sets work together to finish this beautiful Floral Arch.  

For the sentiment, I used the Arched Sentiments stamp and die.  With some blue ink in the background, the Floral Arch is propped up with foam adhesive for a lovely glow.

Hello, friends! Dawn McVey here!  Ok, so it’s my turn to share a post for The Greetery and this is a fun one! I had a great time creating with the Canned dies and the Something Fishy stamp set during the last release, but hadn’t had a chance yet to work with the Canned Lite set. I was eager to get busy and I had a BALL making this card for my hubby, along with a couple gift tags! His birthday is coming up so I made this card to use for his birthday, and will use the coordinating gift tags for his gifts. I have to tell you though, that I kind of want to make a whole stack of these little sardine cans for a bunch more gift tags as well as BOOKMARKS!! So fun, yes???

PRO TIP: Notice I didn’t use a birthday sentiment on this card at all, even though it’s for his birthday! I will certainly write my birthday wishes for him on the inside of the card, but don’t feel like you can’t branch out a little with your sentiments! I’m going to write inside the card anyway, so I took the opportunity to use the fun “Great Catch” and “we’re in this together” sentiments instead. He’ll love it and won’t care one bit that it doesn’t say happy birthday on the front!

So, as is often the case for me, I started out by die cutting lots of little parts and pieces of the can layers. I die cut some of the bases and then just started laying additional die cuts on each one as I went. I had a group of colors I was working with, so I just die cut each layer in several of those colors and then mixed and matched on all the little cans. I then die cut and/or stamped the elements from Something Fishy — which TOTALLY LEVEL UP the little cans!!! — and then started glueing everything together.

At this point, I was still just playing and making little cans, not worrying about what I was gonna do with them or how they were going to go on a card. It’s much more freeing creatively, if you just allow yourself to make a little stack of cuteness and then worry about the card after that!

PRO TIP: Three words: SILVER GLITTER CARDSTOCK! I can’t tell you how fun and sparkly this is in real life and it makes some of those little can details POP!

PRO TIP: For the can with my focal point sentiment, I used foam adhesive to help the sentiment stand out a bit more.

Also….sparkly silver fish! (insert heart eyes emoji!!! Haha!)

Seriously, all the little typography elements add so much detail and cuteness!! And don’t even get me started on the little pop tabs!!!

These two little gift tags will be tied onto his gifts. It’s easy to write or stamp the to/from info on the back! Although, in this case, I’m pretty sure he’s gonna know who they’re from! HA!

Hello Greetery friends!  It’s Laurie Willison here! 

I was inspired by the Rolling Hills: Bella Terra Additions in the latest release.  I just love the landscape with the adorable blooms on those rolling hills.  I also reached WAY back to some old favorites, Christmas Care-A-Van Stamp set and Die and Let’s Have a Word: Beautiful Die. The combo makes for a fun summery card!

To get started, I stenciled out the Rolling Hills Stencils.  They are so easy to layer up and add in a couple different greens to create depth.  Next up, I stamped and die cut the Bella Terra Additions blooms in coordinated greens and pinks.  The van was a fun little detail I wanted to add in to give the road trip vibe!  To balance out the colors and give a little contrast, I added the sentiment in black cardstock.  After the card front was complete, I added it to a white cardbase which mats the front panel.

Hi creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here today on The Greetery Blog! How has your Summer been? Can you believe it’s August? Hot Summer nights, and maybe some fishing?! Today’s card was inspired by Summer colors and themes. I combined lots of old and new supplies from the Greetery to create a vibrant and silly birthday card – birthday fishes! My goal for today is to inspire you to look at your supplies in a different way – for example – carrot leaves as seaweed!… Let’s get started!

My finished card is a white A2 card base. I layered some stripey paper from my stash (to evoke a beach umbrella)… I used the largest die from the Canned Dies to create my white background layer. I used the awesome Making Waves stencils to stencil the background waves. (I used only a portion of the stencil and that’s good too!) 

I die cut the Honeycomb Crab from salmon cardstock and die cut the fishies and party hats from the Something Fishy die set. I thought it would be so cute to have the crab holding up the fish! (This card makes me smile) I used the Botaniuts Carrot dies to make my ‘seaweed’ for some added interest. I used two sentiments on this card – from the Honeycomb Summer Sentiments and the Something Fishy Sentiments.  I added some aqua colored enamel dots and glitter as my final touches. This will be a fun card for the fisherman/woman in your life!

Have fun – get our your supplies and mix and match everything. Look at your dies in a different way – and who knows what you might come up with! That’s it for my project for today! Hello Friends! It’s Dana here, and I am back with two cards that use the Canned and Something Fishy product suites. I fell in love with these adorable products from the latest release and couldn’t wait to use them again! I created a birthday card and a baby card to share with you all today so let’s get started.

For my first card, I used the Canned dies to create a fun interactive birthday card.

I started my card by using the Canned dies to create my sardine can. This dies set includes so many add on pieces and detail dies that are so fun to mix and match. Once I had my basic can die cut I used the Something Fishy stamps and matching dies, along with the Ciao Bella Borders stamp and dies to stamp my frame (pink) and sentiments. Next, I used the Something Fishy dies along with the fish dies from Canned to die cut my fish and party hat. 

Once I had everything stamped and I die cut I assembled my sardine can to create an interactive lid that opens to reveal a few more fish. So fun! Lastly, I added a few florals to the front of my card that I die cut with the Coastal Cuttings dies and then attached my can to an A2 card base to finish my card.

For my next card I used the Canned Lite dies to create a baby card. I began my card by die cutting all of my pieces with the Canned Lite dies. I assembled the cans and then used the Something Fishy stamp set and Something Fishy Sentiment dies for my sentiments. Next, I used the Cottage Tile stencil for my card panel.

I attached my canned fish and sentiments to my card panel with foam adhesive. Lastly, I used the Bigger Botanticals Hawthorn dies to create a few florals that I tucked in around my cans to finish my card.

Hello friends! It’s Kelly here today with a pair of summery cards using mainly products from the latest release! I’m still having fun using some of the products I didn’t get a chance to use during the release! I have been itching to use the Coastal Cuttings Die in a different colorway, so that was the springboard for today’s projects!

To begin, I die cut 2 of all of the pieces included in the Coastal Cuttings Die; I accidentally ripped one of the main “bouquet” pieces, so I decided to pull it apart the rest of the way and just use some “sprigs” on the second card. I cut all of the pieces from white and then colored them with dye ink and blender brushes. I used liquid glue and small foam squares to assemble the flowers/bouquet. I set the flowers aside and got to work on the backgrounds.

The first card uses the full bouquet with a border of tiles created using the Checks Out Border Stencil and the Tile Style Stamp Set. Confession time: I can’t even begin to tell you how many “experiments” I did with these cute little tiles for my countdown projects and every single one ended up in the garbage. I felt really frustrated, but told myself to just wait to see how Betsy used them so I would know how they SHOULD look! Haha! Of course, she didn’t disappoint and I fell in love with her card using the colorful tiles, so that was the direction I headed with these tiles. I chose to use colors that I used on the flowers for continuity. Both cards use the same border, but I chose different stamps in different colors to add some variety.

I wanted to add a little bit more interest behind the large bouquet, so I cut a piece of white cardstock and then embossed it using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Tiles Embossing Folder. I added a bit of the same yellow that I used on the stenciled tiles for some depth. I layered it onto the background using foam squares and then added the bouquet using additional foam squares. The sentiment is from the new Simple Everyday Sentiments and is heat embossed in white and then cut using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels. I tucked it near the bottom and is attached with a double layer of foam squares.

My next card uses the same border as I mentioned earlier, but stamped in different tile images. I created a panel of yellow cardstock stamped with the Tile Style Background Stamp and layered that in the middle. Next, I die cut a piece of rust cardstock using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels Die and then heat embossed the sentiment using the Simple Everyday Mini Sentiments Stamp Set. My old eyes didn’t realize how much stray powder there was until I edited my photos on my big computer screen (woops!), but I actually like how it looks, otherwise I would have ripped it apart and started over! Haha! Sometimes those “mistakes” can turn out okay! I embossed the tile piece using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Tiles Embossing Folder and then added it using foam squares. 

I tucked the flower sprigs here and there until I was satisfied with the arrangement. I layered this card onto an A2 panel of red cardstock for some additional depth and to ground the card a bit more. In the end, the tile borders made me think of a patchwork quilt that has seen its fair share of summer picnics, campouts, beach days, fireworks, etc. 

I had so much fun putting these two cards together and I hope it gives you some additional inspiration for all of your new goodies! Thanks for joining me today!

I feel Autumn peeking around the corner here in the desert and in my craft room.  I pulled out my Autumn Herbarium stencils and embossing folder and created a soft, pastel background with lots of texture.  I added colors of pink, aqua, and beige to each leaf.

My next step was to add some scrunched seam binding in a coordinating color of pink.  I then added a tag of sorts cut using the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels Die.  I cut it from Aqua cardstock and added a white cardstock center.

To finish, I cut and ink-blended a beautiful swirl of flowers using the Rosemal Reflections Details Die.  I added a sentiment created with a delicate font from the Capsule Cameos: Autumn Stamp Set and coordinating die.

Every season whether it’s the early stage or later stage is so fun to celebrate and create for.
