It’s Week 4 of our District Twelve25 holiday shop hop! Each week we are visiting a different “shop”. This week’s stop is the Christmas Confectionery…a cozy sweet shop filled with sweet treats, cookies, candy canes, and gingerbread.

There are five new products in this week’s product suite, plus a couple of add-on items. These new products will go up in the shop tomorrow, Thursday, November 5 at 10am EST. Let’s take a closer look at these new goodies!
Laurie Willison will once again be hosting a Craft ‘n Chat tonight on our Youtube channel beginning at 8pm EST/ 7 pm CST tonight. Pop in to see the products hands-on and ask any questions you might have!
Below is a look at today’s new product intros from our District Twelve25 Week 4 Shop Hop. Click on the links below each product heading for more details and information (sentiments, measurements, etc.). (**Please Note: although you can preview this week’s new products in the shop via the links below, they will not be available to add to cart or purchase until stock is added on Thursday, November 5 at 10am EST ).
If you’d like to watch a video introduction of today’s product suite, we have a showcase video, linked below…
Christmas Confections stamp + stencil & die
Filled with all kinds of sweet images, the Christmas Confections stamp + stencil combo creates a 5×7 panel that can be used as is for 5×7 cards, or for smaller projects, cut into individual elements using the coordinating die. The large “sweet” sentiment is sized to work with A2 cards as well, coming in at around 4″ wide.

Christmas Confections embossing folder
Perfect for embossing coordinating backgrounds (or even the individual elements found in this suite when combined with the die), the Christmas Confections embossing folder features the same design found in the stamp + stencil set, but in pretty 3D embossed form. The stencils from the stamp + stencil set can be used to add color to the larger images in this embossed design, and the embossed design can be cut using the coordinating Christmas Confections die. While there are lots of mix and match possibilities between the embossing folder and the other products in the Christmas Confections suite, we don’t recommend embossing full panels that have been stenciled & stamped using the set introduced above, due to the imprecise nature of stamping the individual elements.

Christmas Confections Sentiment Additions stamp set & die
We also have a small companion sentiment set that features that pretty “sweet” word, but in a smaller size, along with several phrases that can be combined with it (or with the larger scale “sweet” found in the stamp + stencil and embossing folder. The coordinating Sentiment die cuts the sentiments from this stamp set for more layering possibilities.

The products introduced above will be available individually, but they’ll also be available via an easy-shop bundle. The Christmas Confectionery bundle includes the five new products introduced above. We’re also releasing some coordinating consumable add-ons (see below); these consumables are NOT included in the bundle.

Christmas Confections Cutt-ables and Sugar Frost Glass Glitter
We also have a few fun add-ons to this week’s bundle! (Please note that these consumable items ARE NOT included in the bundle, and will need to be added to your cart separately.)
We have some Christmas Confections Cutt-ables, which feature the same cute design as the Christmas Confections stamp + stencil set, but in quick and easy pre-printed form. Diecut these with the Christmas Confections die for oodles of cute embellishments to be used on cards, tags, wraps, etc! To top it off, we also have some super realistic glass glitter sugar!

It’s time for some projects!
First up, an A2 card that uses the Christmas Confections stamp + stencil, die, and embossing folder. I stenciled and stamped these sweet goodies, then diecut them and embossed each with the Confections embossing folder.

I arranged all my little goodies on a background that was cut with the A2 Stitched Scallops die from pink cardstock (Poptone Pink Lemonade). I also tucked in a few sprigs that were cut with the BotaniCuts Pine Bough die, and a few little peppermint embellishments from our Mint & Berry Bits (we were hoping to have these restocked in time for this week’s release, but they are currently stuck in customs!). I also added some Sugar Frost glitter to the images using liquid glue. The sentiment is the larger “sweet” word found in the stamp + stencil set, and the smaller companion sentiment was stamped with the Sentiment Additions set. For the “sweet” portion, I stamped the outline portion in red ink and the interior in pink. I diecut it with the outer/base that’s incorporated into the main Christmas Confections die. I then embossed it with the embossing folder to give it some dimension and those fun details. I layered everything over a gingerbread-colored card base, which was created with Colorplan Harvest cardstock.

Next, it occurred to me that our Shortbread Shapes Rectangle die would make a pretty adorable sheet pan! I diecut it from silver cardstock to create the background for adding lots of fun little cookies. This time, instead of stamping and stenciling them, I used the Cuttable sheets. I diecut them and then embossed each of the cookies individually using the Christmas Confections embossing folder. I just found it easier to do this way (rather than embossing first and then cutting), plus then you get the embossing at “full strength), lol, without the diecutting flattening anything out, making the little cookies nice and puffy and dimensional. It takes a little more time, but it’s so satisfying to see them all cute and puffy! 🙂 I also like to stack up a few plain diecuts, cut from a good “cookie colored” cardstock, along with my cute printed/embossed cookies to give them some extra thickness, making them look oh-so-real!

I scattered in lots of little bits and bobs from the Cuttable sheets as well – small snowflakes, sprigs, and candy canes. The sentiment here was done using the smaller “sweet” that’s found in the Sentiment Additions set, cut with the matching die. I also added some peppermint embellishments, again from our Mint & Berry Bits, and some Sugar Frost glitter as well as some fine glitter to some of the finer areas as well (like the little berries on the wreath).

Next, I created a fun little gingerbread scene! I used the tree/foliage layer from the Capsule Nativity Scene die that we released last week and surrounded it with a Fixed Border Large diecut, embossed with the Quilt Shop embossing folder. Inside, I built my scene. The snow drifts were cut using an older die called Drifting. I stacked a few of these drifts, and nestled those cute little gingerbread houses into the hills.

The house in the foreground was cut from one of the Christmas Confections Cuttables. The other two were just cut from tan cardsock and embossed with the Christmas Confections embossing folder. I brushed over them with white ink to give them a frosty look and to further bring out those cute embossed details. The little candy canes were stamped using the Christmas Confections stamp + stencil set (I didn’t stencil, I just used the detail stamps to stamp the stripes), then cut them with the matching die. I also embossed them with the embossing folder to make them dimensional – I love how they look and I kind of want to eat them! The sentiment here is from last week’s release – the Laid Back Holiday stamp set and matching die. I added a few fun details around the outer frame as well – little Mint & Berry peppermints and also a bow and snowflakes, cut from the Cuttables.

Next I have a couple of cards that use the whole Christmas Confections panel as is to create some 5×7 cards. Here I did all of the stenciling & stamping using the Christmas Confections stamp + stencil set. I laid a negative diecut over the top to help me get everything stamped were it should go – you definitely don’t have to do this, but I wanted to layer the negative diecuts over the top, so putting the negative there while stamping helped me to get everything just right. I’ll be sharing a video of this card tomorrow!

This one was done in the exact same way, I just used different colors. Both cards also use some Sugar Frost glitter to add that chunky sugar to the little cookies. I also used Sno Flock powder to give them the floured look! I’ve talked quite a bit about this powder in the past. You can find it on Amazon – it has water-activated adhesive in the powder, so all you have to do is mist your panel with water, and then sprinkle with the powder. So fun and easy and it looks so realistic! Both of these cards also use a Bigger Holiday Botanicals Holly 1 die as an accent around the sentiment.

Last, but not least, I had so much fun creating some merry little totes using our Market Tote die paired with with Christmas Confections items. I embellished each tote with a different “cookie”.

The cookies here were all done using the Cuttables, which I diecut, and then again each embossed with the Christmas Confections embossing folder. The sentiments here were all done with the Christmas Confections Sentiment Additions stamp set and cut with the Sentiments die. I also added little sprigs and extra embellishments to each cookie as well, using some of the smaller images from the Cuttables, Mint & Berry peppermints, and sprigs that were cut using a few different dies – BotaniCuts Pine Bough and also a few little sprigs from the Berry Bouquet Builder. Lots of glitter here again – I used both the Sugar Frost glass glitter as well as some finer regular glitter on the sprigs, etc. These were so, so fun to put together! They’ll be so cute with little goodies tucked inside for holiday treats and favors.

That wraps up my projects for today, but the team has so much more to share with you! I hope you’ll hop along and check out all of their beautiful creations!
