Hey there! Betsy here! I’m here today to share some updates on what’s to come for the holiday season here at The Greetery! I know many of you have been anxiously awaiting our holiday release, and I’m thankful for your excitement and support! It’s always a special and exciting time here at The Greetery.
Before I dig into the details of everything we have planned for the next few months, a little update from me…
If you’ve been with us for a while (many of you have since the beginning!❤️), you’re probably familiar with how we do releases. For past seven years, we’ve kept with the same release format, which, if we’re honest, has probably been driven more by what has been the industry norm rather than thinking about what actually works for us. Well, once in a while there are people and situations in your life that make you stop and think and reassess. That’s happened to us recently, and we’re feeling the need to take a deep breath and make some adjustments…making sure we keep a healthy balance in life and work.
This year is shaping up to be our best year yet here at The Greetery, and we are so very thankful to all of YOU for that! But growth never comes in just one area…when one thing increases, so does everything else. Before we know it, we’re caught in a whirlwind cycle that feels just a little bit crazy (sometimes a lot crazy!)
What does this have to do with our holiday release? Well, I wanted to give you a little back story on why we’re making some changes from what’s been the norm here at The Greetery during past holiday seasons. Besides attempting to bring some order to the chaos and a little more balance to our lives, sometimes shaking things up is the best way to cultivate creativity and keep things feeling fresh.
With that in mind, this year we’re taking more of a bite-sized, slowed-down approach to our holiday releases, but one that I am really excited about! We have 30+ new products waiting in the wings. For the past seven years, we have done one large, somewhat overwhelming (for me at least, and maybe for you too) release in October, and a smaller one in November. This year we’re taking a different approach…
Beginning next week, we’ll be taking a 6 week “Shop Hop” through District Twelve25…a line-up of quaint and cozy “shops”, filled with holiday goodies. Each “shop” is a themed group of products. Each week we will visit one shop…

Here’s what you can expect each week, beginning on Tuesday, October 13…
- Tuesdays – you’ll get a sneak peek of that week’s “shop” (aka product suite)
- Wednesdays – we’ll showcase that week’s products on the blog. There will be projects, a hop with the team, supporting videos, etc.
- Thursdays – that week’s product suite will be available for purchase in our store at our usual 10am ET. You may also find some bonus content on these days.
Some details to note:
- Each week’s products will be available as an easy-to-shop bundle, but the products will also be available individually
- Orders will ship immediately (within our typical processing times) and will not be held/combined with subsequent releases
- Most weeks the product bundle value will be above $100, allowing you to enjoy free-shipping (within the US) should you choose to purchase the bundle (week 4 on the schedule below is an exception to this)
- These are not limited edition products. Just like our other releases, if items sell out we will do our best to restock them as quickly as possible (generally within 3-4 weeks).
Here is our schedule of stops along our hop. The “shop” names give you just a little clue about what we might find inside each…

This schedule gives us time to really dig into each product suite, and I’m so excited about that! I’m hoping you are too…getting a new bundle of holiday goodies each week will hopefully allow you time to really create and explore everything as well. I hope to see you next Tuesday as we kick off the fun!

Sounds good and perfect as it starts on my birthday, couldn’t ask for more then that!!
Ack! I was hoping this was an announcement to release Christmas a bit earlier than usual. While I understand why you are doing what you are doing, I feel like this method will create chaos for an already hectic season for those of us who craft, and have to mail all of our gifts. I like having the entire seasonal release right in front of me so that I can choose which direction I am going to go, pull the supplies I need, and then work on it all at once. I also have the ability to change my mind, if I need or want to, because I have it all right in front of me, rather than waiting for each mini release, and then losing time waiting for the new supplies to arrive. I hope it works out, but because I am a slow detailed crafter, I might have to rethink my crafting plans for the Christmas season this year. Every Christmas since you started your business has been ALL handmade with The Greetery products, but I fear I will miss out on the joy of the season, spending all of that time crafting, if it is spread out this way. :o/ I’m sorry. Just trying to be honest. :o( No one does it like you do, Betsy! ;o)
I totally agree with you. You put it in better word than me.
Agree with the late in the crafting season releases. I’d appreciate earlier releases all through the year.
I agree. I don’t really do these blog hops anyway. I’d rather have one big release and choose what I want. I’m not going to pay for shipping over and over again. Bummer.
I agree I am a slow crafter and this is going to push Christmas crafting out and with the mail moving slower I don’t think I will be able to use these products this year. I also concerned that it will result in spending more on shipping. With one release I usually meet the free shipping limit but spread out I don’t think that will be the case. I have fomo so if I wait and order at the end of the weekly release I fear things will be sold out and then it will be too late in the season to craft with it before the holiday crunch hits ☹️
So glad you are doing what is best for you and your family. I appreciate the fact you are communicating with your community and reassessing your priorities and not simply doing releases because that’s what everyone else in the industry is doing. I appreciate that you don’t necessarily follow industry trends and that you are taking the bold step to do releases differently, too. Bravo!
I have some things I’ve been wanting to get from the shop but have been waiting for your next release. So glad I won’t have to wait too long! I can’t wait to see all you have in store for us!!
This sounds like a lot of fun and a way to slow down and enjoy each suite of products! I’m looking forward to the new format!
Sounds wonderful! I think this might be a bit scarier for my pocketbook but that’s okay. It’s for a good cause…The Greetery sales, Holiday cards, and my sanity…LOL.
Hope this works out better for you, Betsy. It does sound overwhelming regardless but I’m always slow to change. I should start my wishlist from other releases now before I forget. I’m sure you’ll be building on past releases. Good luck to you Betsy. I’m sure everything will be gorgeous.
Best time of the year! Thanks, Betsy
Not sure I can handle 6 weeks of a Greetery release! Looking forward to trying this new way to release the product. I have been amazed at how fast I received orders during a release and know it takes considerable effort on your part. Can’t wait to see the changes and new products.
Betsy, I love this idea of taking smaller chunks of product and inspiration over a longer time frame. I can sense we will love the new releases even more! And I wonder if this is exactly what we need to fully appreciate your vision for sharing beautiful encouragement with others!
Love this approach and so happy that The Greetery is having a banner year.
I can’t wait! What a great way to enjoy each release! Thanks for the heads up!
I love the idea of product suites BUT I need them all at once or at least I need to have the ability to shop at once. Can’t hardly wait. You are my favorite designer.
Ohhh so exciting news! I sure be there front row for each of this shops! You are so creative Betsy and this new approach to the Greetery realeases screams that about you! Love your products and cannot wait to see what’s in store for ALL of US to enjoy!
Change is good! Looking forward to the new release and the new system!
I think it is going to be great!! Waiting excited!
Okay. This sounds amazing! Plus, it gives us something to look forward to each week!
Sounds like a plan. I am looking forward to the new holiday release with creative excitement. Thanks Betsy and crew for sharing your creative minds with us. God bless you all
Looking forward to the Shop Hop schedule. Thank you for your wonderful goodies!
Thank you so much for sharing! Yes, family and worklife balance are so important, and while change is often unnerving, there’s always, always, something new to learn, and blessings sometimes come in unexpected ways. I am definitely “all in” for the exciting weeks ahead.
The new format will be an adjustment, but as usual I’m anxious to see what you have in store. I’m still hoping that some day you will design kits like you did years ago under another company. I still use them alot and have received so many compliments on my finished products. Keep up the good work!
This sounds so exciting and fun!! So glad to have an idea of what is going to be coming up each week! Thank you so very much!
This sounds like a lot of fun! Something to look forward to every week will be like a countdown to the holidays a steady stream of inspiration coming in.
This is a great idea!! Now we get goodies every week! woo!!
Definitely different but also exciting. I love the idea of stretching out the fun and savoring the new products a week at a time. Then maybe I can use the new while waiting for the next new 🤔😁😅🧡🩷💜
This is so exciting! This gives us more time to plan out our holiday cards and goodies rather than an onslaught all at once with a shorter time to get it done! What cute little shops and I can’t wait to visit!!
I love The Greetery! In my opinion, it is one of the highest-quality craft lines out there, and completely different from the other companies I’ve purchased from. Every collection feels thoughtful, creative, and beautifully designed.
That said, if I had to place an order now and wait until next Christmas to receive it, I would! You can never make everyone happy, and change is always difficult for some people. I’m excited to embrace this new direction and can’t wait to see the “shops” come to life!
I love them all, but Confectionery has me especially excited. Thank you, Betsy, for continuing to create such wonderful things. I’m really looking forward to the first week!
This sounds wonderful, Betsy! And I applaud your willingness to reassess and make it work for all of you, as well as for your customers. While I always look forward to The Greetery’s holiday release, it is a whirlwind at an already sped-up time. I’m delighted with the savor approach.
Good plan.
This sounds great! I’ll have something to look forward to from the Greetery for several weeks! I’m glad it will help bring more balance to you and your family also. Hoping it’s a win-win for everyone.
Healthy changes are always a good thing. I can’t wait to see what is coming! I know some people are on different crafting schedules, but maybe this is a good opportunity for everyone to make their own healthy changes in the holiay crafting schedules. The holidays are about taking time to enjoy family and friends and the season of giving and receiving, and most importantly, LIFE! The Greetery team has always been so supportive of the crafting community and we in turn need to support the team! : )
Whatever works for you is fine. Your products are….sigh….so beautiful. The bee’s knees. Classy and adorable at the same time. I could regret that I didn’t find you sooner (about a year ago) but am just glad I did. Hoping you and everyone here have a joyful and loving holiday season.
I am excited to see what you have in store. You have such unique products. I was hoping for a sooner release, I will have to beg for a bigger budget. Senior discount?? LOL!! I love making Christmas Cards, my favorite time of the year.
You are one of my favorite designers/shops and I look forward to your releases every time. But honestly, I am not someone who can afford to buy 6 different bundles to get the free shipping each week/release. For those who can, this is an awesome idea. For those who can’t, we will have to spend more on shipping and less on your beautiful products. Also, I like to start working on my Christmas tags, cards, and crafts in November so December is not so crazy trying to get it all done. I still love The Greetery even though it may not work for me this year. I also do appreciate your explanation and understand you have to do what works for you. Just giving feedback.
Im soooo excited!! I think this will work better for everyone, and maybe even more affordable. The idea of little shops, is so appealing. Thanks Betsy for all you do, I have been with you thru PTI and The Greetery from the beginning, you have always been my favorite designer and products!
Sounds exciting!
I’m excited to see what you have designed for the holidays. I was bowled over with the Autumn edit release. Those solid botannical dies are a dream to work with along with the small pieces you group together. Nobody does quality the way you do. Glad your business is growing and that you are balancing work and family. You deserve all the success. Going to be exciting every week for awhile.
I am a slow crafter, I actually buy the Christmas crafts I like and then make them during the next summer for the next Christmas, things are way to busy for me to try and get it done in November, so this slower release won’t affect me , however, I tend to pick and choose so I probably won’t buy until the last one is out hoping that what I like won’t be sold out by then💕
Why not do Christmas in July next year, the craft stores are already filling their shops with Christmas, this way we get plenty of time to make our cards and tags and you have a quieter Christmas rush season 😍
All we can do is try it and see if it works. Could we get a note for our husbands, included with each order, explaining why we are making so many purchases from The Greetery in one month. We got some explaining to do! LOL
Oh my goodness! Can’t wait for all this goodness to hit the shop!
Sounds good. First of all I have been with you since the beginning and I have always loved your products and most of all the customer service that you provide. Iam very limited as to what I can spend, so I will probably wait to view all of the new products at the end of six weeks, unless it’s something that I really, really love, and then I will choose what I can purchase. I can’t afford to purchase each week, because of the postage charges for each week, they can really add up. I wish it was only a three to maybe a four week release. 🥰
I like this idea, as I get overwhelmed by huge releases. The release titles are intriguing. Looking forward to your new products, no doubt they will be amazingly beautiful.
Sounds Great! I love a slow release.
Love your products!! You will be seeing me play with mine on youtubes “Papered Memories” soon.
Excited to get up & running. I love paper Crafting!
Looking forward to weekly surprises! Nice to have something new to look forward to, and I know it will all be so good!
I just love this concept! I can’t wait to see all of the goodies!
Thank you for giving us a advanced notice of the changes. I can’t wait to see the new releases. Your products are very unique. I’m building my Greetery collection.
Does that mean if each week we choose the items cost less than $100, we’ll have to pay shipping six times? In this economy I am not sure if that’d work out, at least for some. I myself may just have to resist the urge of purchase but I know your products will be good. 🙁
I love the 6 week idea! 6 whole weeks of Greetery bliss is a Christmas present in itself! I can’t wait.
I love the name District Twelve 25! I really appreciate that these are not limited edition products as I experienced a lot of frustration with another company that recently ran a 30 -day release celebration. Some items sold out before the live show was even over, and items in my cart were suddenly sold out.
I think if my orders end up being spaced out and under $100 each, I’ll take advantage of using some of my rewards to help ‘lower’ the shipping costs.
Kudos to you for trying a new Holiday Release approach!
Betsy
I followed you years ago at Papertrey and I also thought you were a genius. I remembered getting the Christmas ornament box ….can’t remember the exact name…..and was so excited and happy. Love everything you and your team come up either way. Can’t wait to see what is in store.
I love BUNDLES and I’m am so excited to see this reveal from The Greetery. It’s all so beautiful. I cannot wait to dive in. Thank you for your wonderful products.
