Dainty Scallops & Florals with Laurie

Hello Greetery friends!  It’s Laurie Willison here! I have a die from The Greetery that I absolutely adore. (For the record, there are way more than just this ONE die that I adore…) But  I want to make every card using this die.  I just love the A2 Stitched Scallops.  The largest of the 3 makes the perfect sized card and gives each card base the most pretty little details…just in the scallops themselves!  So today’s card was completely built around the scalloped card base.  

I knew I wanted a little detail in the background, which I know is not like me at all, so I pulled out the Spring Meadow Background stamp.  I stamped it in a pale pink ink and cut it down to fit right inside the scallops.  After adding a piece of fun foam behind the panel, I added it to the card base. I stamped part of the sentiment on the card panel in black ink and then stamped and die cut the hello from Scripted Sentiments stamp set and matching die.  I die cut a piece of fun foam to back the sentiment and then added it to the card base.  Using the Bigger Botanicals: Hawthorn dies, I added a little coordinating blooms to the card front, just under the sentiment.

Introducing the Bibliophile Collection

Hello and welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by as we introduce our first new collection of 2025! I’m so excited to share with you! Our newest collection, called Bibliophile, is all about books and love, and love of books! We’re introducing some new additions to some previously release products, some great basics, and more.

All of the new products being introduced today will be available in the shop beginning tomorrow morning – Thursday, January 23 at 10am EST.

Shelved die, stencil, stamp set & Shelved Details die

With pretty book spines all in a row, our Shelved die essentially fills an A2 card base. The coordinating Shelved stencil, stamp set, and Details die allows you to add lots of color and pretty details to the book spines. The stamp set includes lots of sentiments that cover a variety of occasions that can be stamped within a variety of different labels and frames from the set. So much mixing and matching to be had in this set, no two shelves of books will be the same!

Bookish Frames: Romance Edition stamp + stencil and die

We’ve had lots of requests for additional items to coordinate with our Have a Spine die that was released last October. We are introducing a new Bookish Frames set – a Romance Edition, filled with lovey-dovey sentiments for Valentine’s Day, weddings, anniversaries, and more. The pretty leafy heart frame was inspired by a vintage book in my collection from the late 1800s! The stamp + stencil set includes a 4×8 set plus a single stencil for adding the flowers to the large heart/vine frame.

Have a Spine: Short Story die, Lock & Key die

Sometimes you don’t need a whole novel, a short story will do! We are introducing a mini version of our Have a Spine die called Short Story. The concept and assembly is much the same as our original version, but in a smaller size, perfect for tags or smaller focal points on card fronts (you can find an assembly video of the full-size version here). We’re also introducing Lock & Key – a fun addition that works with either the original Have a Spine or the Short Story version, allowing you to add a decorative heart lock and keys.

Romantic Corners die, Love Stories stamp set

Add a little romance to your next project with our Romantic Corners die. These cute frames coordinate with our Have a Spine and Have a Spine Short Story dies (of course they’re great for regular card fronts as well!). The Love Stories stamp set is filled with romantic quotes from some of the literary greats including Jane Austen, William Shakespeare, and more. Wonderful for wedding, anniversary, Valentine projects or even just little lunch notes!

Folk Heart stamp set & matching die

My heart always has a soft spot for anything folk-inspired. Our Folk Heart set is filled with folk-inspired sprigs and sprays, all with mirror-image companions, making them so fun for building folk-inspired designs with their classic symmetry. The matching die allows you to cut out all but the smallest of sprigs from the stamp set.

Folk Heart Sentiments stamp set & matching die

This fun and versatile little sentiment set is a great companion for our Folk Heart set and features sentiments for Valentine’s Day, baby, new home, and more. The matching die allows for lots of layering options. The sentiments are sized to fit nicely inside the large heart from the Folk Heart set.

Nordic Hearts die, Cupid’s Arrow die

So many of you loved the Nordic Birds and Tree we released last November. Now we’re adding a pretty set of hearts featuring similar detailing and pretty scalloped mats. A great basic to add to your collection for use not just during February, but all year long. For those smitten with all things Valentine, our Cupid’s Arrow die will shoot straight to your heart. It features two different bows, arrows, and a sweet heart spray.

Let’s get to some projects to see all of the new goodies at work! We’ll start with some cards using the new Shelved product suite…

Up first is this fun birthday card. I created it with my daughter in mind – she’ll turn 18 in a few months and loves books, so it is perfect for her!

  • All of the color here was added using the Shelved stencil set onto a white cardstock base that was cut using the Shelved die.
  • To give the books a worn, vintage look, sand them a bit with a sanding block.
  • Create a simple pop-up easel card that’s super fun for the recipient to display. Simply score a top-fold card front 1-1/2″ from the bottom edge. On the inside I added a wood strip cut using the Curio: Cover die – it doubles as a “shelf” as well as a catch for the easel.
  • To customize the card for the recipient’s age, pull out some number stamps (I used the Calendar Basics set) and add it to one of the books along with either the “No.” or “Vol” stamp from the Shelved stamp set (you can mask the “1” from the stamp and add your own number).
  • The inside that shows when the easel is propped up is the perfect place to add a sentiment. I used one here from the Shelved set, stamped inside the long frame, also from Shelved, and cut with the Shelved Details die.

Up next is another bright and fun Shelved card. This time I created a thank you card.

  • All of the elements from the Shelved stamp set are so fun to mix and match and stamp in various places on the book spines. Here I chose sentiments and elements with a thank you theme.
  • Gold heat embossing adds an elegant touch!
  • Cut the small spine stripes from the Shelved die from metallic cardstock for another fun detail.
  • Here once again all of the color was added to the book spines using the Shelved stencil onto a white diecut. I added the various pattern stripes using the Shelved stamp set.

Next is a masculine take on the Shelved product suite.

  • While I always love pretty pastels and brights, this set is great for masculine cards when you use a darker, moodier color palette.
  • Masculine Valentine cards can be tricky, but this set is perfect! I chose love and valentine-themed sentiments to stamp on the spines from the Shelved set.
  • Instead of using the stencil set to add the color on this card, diecut the Shelved die from several different colors. Snip all but one of them apart – the one left intact can be used as a base to which all of the other colored spines can be adhered to.
  • To create some extra depth, attach a few of the spines using foam adhesive so they pop out more than the others and give a bit of staggered depth to the spines.
  • Adhere the finished Shelved panel to a top-fold card base that is trimmed down slightly shorter than the usual 5-1/2″ A2 height. This allows the staggered heights of the books to shine and makes for a very interesting “shaped” card.
  • For a more classic Valentine card, use this same idea, but make it all in pinks and reds!

And one more Shelved card, this one with a different take…

  • Instead of using the full Shelved panel, use just a few books turned sideways to create a stack of pretty books.
  • The Curio Cover die makes a great shelf!
  • To create a ribbon wrap for the book stack, cut another strip using the Curio Cover die and wrap it around the stack of books. The bow here is from the Ribbon Frame die.
  • Add a few flower sprigs to the bow – the ones used here were cut using the Winter Medley die.
  • The pretty background panel was cut using the Deco Frames die. It’s a great complement to the Shelved set.
  • The “Here’s to your next chapter” sentiment and fancy label are also from the Shelved stamp set, cut with the matching Shelved Details die.
  • This would make a wonderful graduation card. You could make it more masculine as well by using darker colors, or maybe even use the grad’s school colors!

Up next I have several projects using the new Bookish Frames: Romance Edition stamp set and matching die. This set is such a fun addition to our previously released Have a Spine die!

First up is a set of pretty book-themed Valentine cards.

  • These cards were assembled using the same process showed in the video showcasing our Have a Spine die, which you can find here.
  • The large rectangle frame stamp from the Bookish Holiday Frames is a great basic to pair with the new Romance Frames. They’re so pretty layered over each other!
  • Go all out with pinks, reds, and golds. Touches of gold heat embossing and gold metallic cardstock makes these super elegant and pretty!
  • The “happy valentine’s day” sentiment stamped along the red spine is from the Shelved set – all other sentiments are from the Bookish Frames: Romance Edition set.
  • Mix and match the sentiments from the Bookish Frames Romance set – there are several tiny sentiments that can be stamped into the open area at the bottom of the heart vine.
  • The Romantic Corners die is perfect for pairing with the Have a Spine die. Cut them from metallic cardstock for some shimmer and shine.
  • The pretty red heart in the center of the pink book was cut using the new Nordic Hearts die.

Inside each of these Valentine book cards is a vellum page that was stamped with one of the sentiments from the new Love Stories stamp set, heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Here’s another Bookish Frames: Romance Edition card…this time I steered away from valentine-y reds and pinks and made a pretty wedding card instead.

  • Customize the colors to match the couple’s wedding colors. This combo was inspired by my daughter’s upcoming wedding colors. It will be a perfect wedding or shower card for her!
  • The flowers are added to the design using a stencil that’s included with the stamp set. This makes for easy alignment of the flowers. Use a small brush or sponge dauber to make the flowers different colors.
  • Stamp the large rectangular frame from the Bookish Holiday Frames set in an ink color that matches the book cover for a softer tone-on-tone look.
  • The inside of the heart vine frame is a separate die so that just the inside can be cut, allowing you to cut a window from the book front (the book was cut with the Have a Spine die).
  • The “happily every after” sentiment was stamped and heat embossed onto a “page” cut using the Have a Spine die. It shows through the window cut-out on the front of the book for a special touch.

I have one more card using the Bookish Frames: Romance Edition set. This time I just used it on a regular card, not a book-themed card. It’s a pretty frame to use in lots of different ways!

  • The Bookish Frames: Romance set can be paired with everyday sentiments too, don’t feel restricted to just love-themed projects!
  • The sentiment used here is from the Scripted Sentiments set. The larger “just a note” (cut with the matching die) fits nicely in the large upper portion of the frame, and the “of thanks” fits nicely in the small area at the bottom. What other sentiments might you find in your stash that work wonderfully with this set?
  • I finished the card off with a simple frame cut using the Romantic Corners die, cut from a soft pink.
  • Use a white pen to add some flower centers, and a colored pencil to add shading to the vines.

Up next I have a ton of little books that I created using the new Have a Spine: Short Story die. These are so addicting! I had so much fun embellishing all of the little covers with all sorts of things.

  • The assembly for these mini Have a Spine: Short Story books is basically the same as the larger version, which you can find a video for here. There are also instructions included on the back of the die insert.
  • If you keep a scrap bin, that’s the perfect place to look for little bits and bobs to embellish your mini books.
  • All of the sentiments from the new Love Stories stamp set fit on these mini books as well.
  • The smaller heart frame included in the new Bookish Frames: Romance Edition is designed to fit on the Short Story die.
  • The Short Story die set includes a little book mark ribbon, which can be tucked into the slit in the page detail die. It also includes a couple of cute little corners (super cute cut from metallic cardstock!).
  • The new Lock & Key die is so fun for creating little closures for the books (both the Short Story and the full-size Have a Spine). Use disc magnets to create a closure that can actually be opened and closed!

Here are more close-ups of some of my mini books, also showing what is stamped inside…

The Have a Spine: Short Story die is great for little notes and enclosure cards as shown above, but it’s also great for using as a focal point/accent on a regular card.

Up next, we’re going back to Valentine mode with a couple of cards made with the new Cupid’s Arrow die and a few other goodies.

And last but not least, I have a handful of projects using the new Folk Heart set. This set was just so fun to play with. I stamped and diecut a whole pile of all the various sprigs and sprays and had fun building the designs.

This first card is perfect for Valentine’s Day. For some reason it reminds me of a box of chocolates!

  • The largest heart from the new Nordic Hearts set fits perfectly inside the heart from the new Folk Heart set. It nestles inside so nicely!
  • The sentiment here is from the new Folk Heart Sentiments stamp set, cut with the matching die.
  • The tone-on-tone background was stamped using the Fond of Foliage Background stamp.
  • The corners were cut using the new Romantic Corners die, cut from gold mirror cardstock.
  • Once you have a design like this created, save it for future use! To do that, put your finished card in your MISTI (or other stamp positioning tool) and use it to arrange your stamps, lining up the images with those on your card (make sure your stamps are clean!). Then close the lid to secure them in position. Remove your card from your MISTI and replace it with a panel of plain cardstock. Stamp your design and store it along with your Folk Heart stamp set. You can refer back to it each time you pull out the set and use it as a template.

One of the sentiments included in the new Folk Heart Sentiments stamp set is a welcome to the neighborhood sentiment. I am going to be needing a few of those as we have lots of new houses going up in our neighborhood!

  • The Countryside die is a great companion for the new Folk Heart set. The little buildings and other details from that set are perfect for creating scenes inside the large heart from the Folk Heart set.
  • I used just a few more branches and sprigs from the Folk Heart set to add around the heart. There are mirror images for each and every image in the set, making it so fun for building symmetrical designs!
  • I used the tiny corners from the Romantic Corners die to add a finishing touch.
  • The sentiments and bow are from the Folk Heart Sentiments set, cut with the matching die.

Last but not least, a pair of baby cards made with the new Folk Heart set and matching sentiments, plus the Nordic Hearts die.

  • I went to town completely filling my card front with elements from the Folk Heart set. Use the matching die to cut them and have fun playing with different arrangements. Use the smallest images from the set to stamp directly onto the background to fill in any open areas and create even more interest. I used a darker shade of ink for these small stamped details.
  • Use a mono-chrome color scheme to keep things a little simpler, or have fun playing with all sorts of colors! I created the pink card first, then decided making a boy version was a must!
  • The textured background was done using the Aida Cloth Texture Plate.
  • The hearts in the center were cut using the new Nordic Hearts die. The sentiments and bows are from the Folk Heart Sentiments set, cut with the matching die.
  • The corners were embellished with sweet heart corners cut with the Romantic Corners die. I chose a cardstock color that matched the darker ink color to give a little more contrast, which really brought the design to life.
  • To “save” the design, use the same tip I shared above for creating a template. I did that with this card as well – making a stamped only version would be really quick to do now that I have that template created!

Butterfly Floral Thanks with Melissa

Before we get to the beautiful project Melissa is sharing with us today, I wanted to share a note with you. If you follow Melissa on social media, you may already know that between today and when Melissa shared her post and project with me a few weeks ago, her life has taken a dramatic turn. She has been diagnosed with Leukemia, and will be spending several weeks in the hospital, followed by several weeks/months of outpatient treatment. Melissa has become a dear friend and colleague over the past many years, and I know she is dear to many of you as well. I’m sharing her GoFund Me link here, in case you would like to support Melissa during this long journey.

Hi Greetery friends, Melissa here! There’s something about butterflies, florals, and arches that just inspire me and The Greetery has them all! 

My front panel contains an arched opening that I die cut using the A2 Arches dies.  I then used the lovely Wildwood stamp set to stamp around the arched opening.  Next I layered my panel over a yellow card base and used the A2 Arches stencils to shade a bit.  Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Scripted Sentiments stamps and dies and sweet butterflies using the Curio:  Summer Findings die set.  Such a delightful card to create!

Colorful Pen Pal Thanks with Dana

Hello friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a “school” themed card that uses the Pen Pal dies. When the Love Letters P.S. Collection was released, I was thinking about Love and Valentine’s Day… though when I was deciding on my card for May I realized a lot of the products could also work for teachers or be considered school related. My youngest daughter is a special ed teacher and she is always raiding my stash for thank you cards that she can use for work, so she was my inspiration for today’s card.

I started my card by using the Pen Pal dies to create my pens. I die cut the pieces in a rainbow of colors using both solid cardstock and patterned paper. I then assembled the pens with liquid glue and set them aside. Next, I used the Crimped Frame die to die cut my card panel from white cardstock. I then stamped my companion sentiment (a note to say) on the left side of the panel with the Scripted Sentiments stamp set. I attached my pens to the panel in rainbow order with foam adhesive to give them a little extra dimension. Lastly, I used the Typed Greetings dies to die cut my Thanks sentiment and attach it to the center of my card.

Spring Fling Collection Day 1

Thanks for stopping by! Today we’ll begin introducing some new spring products coming to the shop in just a few days! Our Spring Fling collection is filled with pretty things for spring, Easter, and Mother’s Day. BotaniCuts Lilacs & Seagrass Basket die

I’m always excited to welcome a new addition to our BotaniCuts die series! Lilacs are a long-time spring favorite and I’m excited to have these pretty spring blooms in our line-up. These are easy to assemble and fun to color in your favorite lilac shades. Our new Seagrass Basket will be a beautiful container for so many of your favorite blooms, including the new Lilacs! This die was first introduced for a class we taught at Taylored Expressions’ Stamp Joy event last October. So if you attended that event and took the class, you already own this die. After several requests from those that have seen the die we’ll be releasing it as part of our Spring Fling collection.

You have the option of weaving the basket pieces, or you can opt for a simpler construction of just layering the two pieces. I’ve put together a how-to video that shows these options as well as a couple of fun project ideas…

Spring Snowdrops stamp + stencil and matching die

Another favorite harbinger of spring are snowdrops! We have a pretty new stamp + stencil combo for creating a pretty snowdrop cluster. You can use the coordinating die to cut out the cluster as well as add dimension to the individual blooms.

All Occasion Script Sentiments stamp set and matching die

This set will be a great basic you’ll reach for over and over! We’ve had several requests for a basic sentiment set with a contemporary script font, and we’re happy to bring that with this release. This set is filled with sentiments that cover tons of every day occasions. The matching die will allow you to layer these over your designs and add dimension to your projects.

Now it’s time to see these products put to work. Let’s get to the projects I have to share with you today, and then there will be links to check out what the team has been up to.

First off I have some BotaniCuts Lilacs projects…

This first card features several of the BotaniCuts Lilacs clusters arranged over a sponged blue background mimicking a blue spring sky! I put together a how-to video for this card that also shows how I color and assemble the lilacs…

Here are some close-ups and details of the card shown in the video…

  • The Lilacs die has two different stems that can be attached to either of the blossom clusters, giving you design options.
  • Use the individual leaves to add fullness to bouquets and clusters
  • Tumbled Glass and Broken China Oxide inks are great blues for making vibrant sky-like backgrounds. A few watercolor splatters always gives an artsy look.

Next up I combined the BotaniCuts Lilacs die with our Square Dance die to create the look of lattice.

  • Gray kraft (from Cardstock Warehouse) is currently one of my favorite neutral cardstock colors! Here I cut the Square Dance die from this cardstock, then brushed over it with white gauche to give it a white-wash look.
  • Pull out all your purple inks to sponge onto the Lilac diecuts. Lilacs come in a wide variety of purple shades…from bluish to pink. Using a variety of color makes them even more realistic!
  • The sentiment here is from our Scripted Sentiments set.

This next project combines the new BotaniCuts Lilacs with our new Seagrass Basket die to create a basket brimming with blooms that I can almost smell! Wouldn’t it be fun to find a lilac scented spray to spritz these with?

  • Create a basket-shaped card by adhering two baskets together by the bottom tab, the same way as shown in the video above for the gift card holder. Add Disc Magnets for a closure (but not if you’re going to tuck in a gift card as the magnet could damage the magnetic strip on the gift card).
  • Stamp a sentiment inside, or write a message for your recipient
  • Diecut the basket from gray kraft cardstock and brush with white gauche for a rustic white-washed look.
  • The sentiments used here are from the new All Occasion Script Sentiments set and matching die.

Next I have several projects using the new Seagrass Basket. These first two projects are close-ups of the projects created in the Seagrass Basket video linked earlier in this post. This first one is the gift card holder…

  • The basket is a nice size to hold a gift card.
  • You can either glue the sides of the basket closed to create a pocket, or use a piece of twine tied around the handle to secure it closed. (You’ll want to avoid using magnets if you have a traditional gift card with a magnetic strip as the magnets could damage the card).
  • Our Garden Tub Filler die is a great way to quickly and easily fill up the basket.
  • The sentiment used here is again from the new All Occasion Script Sentiments set, stamped onto the oval label included with the Seagrass Basket die.

This next project is a close-up of the easel card shown in the Seagrass Basket video

  • Here again I used the Garden Tub Filler die to fill up my basket. This time I used two diecuts – one I left intact and the second one I snipped apart and tucked in the pieces for more fulness.
  • Use some of the tiny blooms from our BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix die to add extra interest to the greenery.
  • The A2 Arches die was used here as a background behind the basket.
  • Pop-up easel cards are a super simple way to create an interactive and pretty display-able card.

Up next I’m sharing a set of four-season cards using the Seagrass Basket die paired with other dies from our line. There’s something for every season! I mentioned above that the Seagrass Basket was initially designed for a class I taught at Taylored Expressions’ Stamp Joy event. I made these cards to showcase at the event. The sentiment used on each of these was a stamp that was included in the class kit. While we aren’t making this sentiment available, you can easily swap it out for something from your sentiment collection. Several of the sentiments from the new All Occasion Script Sentiments set fit on the basket label.

First up is the Spring version which was filled up with our BotaniCuts Pussy Willow…

We have BotaniCuts Apples for fall…

And finally, for winter I used a mix of Botanicuts Juniper and Big Branches: Pine…

  • Have fun and get creative with all of the things you can fill your baskets with!
  • A set of seasonal thank you cards would make a fun gift. Create a boxed set using our Stationery Box die!
  • Keeping the layout the same from card to card makes these easier to mass produce and allows you to be creative with the basket contents without feeling the need to create a new/different card layout each time.

Next I have several cards using our new Spring Snowdrops set.

This first one is an elegant Easter card…

  • Our Cathedral die is always a great go-to for creating traditional Easter cards.
  • Use the coordinating Cathedral stencil to add some color behind the window diecut.
  • I always love lots of white for Easter cards, but a pop of color like the yellow ink sponged behind the window makes this card feel like a sunny Easter morning!
  • Layering the individual diecut blooms over the Snowdrop cluster adds lot of dimension.
  • The sentiment used here is from a new set we’ll be showcasing tomorrow called Easter Morning Sentiments. I stamped it here onto vellum, heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Next up is a pretty springy card using Spring Snowdrops…

  • Flowers with white blooms (like snowdrops) always present a little bit of a challenge! Here to keep my blooms white, but also add some interest, I stamped the bloom details using the stamp set onto vellum, then diecut them using the individual blooms die included in the Snowdrops set.
  • Bend and curl the bloom diecuts slightly to add dimension and interest. Adhere them with just a dot of liquid adhesive at the top of the bloom, leaving the bottom portion un-attached so they can curl pop out a bit.
  • Our Pathway stencil is a fun way to create some rocky ground for the snowdrops. I masked off the stencil so I could sponge ink over just select areas. Add shading with a colored pencil and some watercolor splatters to complete the look.

For my next card I wanted a more vibrant look, so I layered my snowdrop cluster over a bright coral background!

  • I love creating window cards. This is easy to do by diecutting a window from the card front (our A2 Arches die was used here) and then adding a sheet of clear transparency to the inside of the card.
  • Create some “dirt” by using a scissors to trim a wavy edge to a strip of cardstock. Then sponge it with dark brown and black inks and add some white ink splatters.
  • For fuller snowdrop blooms, diecut the “just the blooms” and stack a few layers. Here I used both pink and white vellum and layered them over the Snowdrop base. Bend the petals for dimension!
  • The hello sentiment was cut using our Typed Greetings die.

Next I wanted to create a pair of Snowdrop cards with a more rustic feel. I’m loving gingham lately, so I pulled out my Square Dance die and stencil set to pair with the snowdrops…

  • Create an easy gingham background using the Square Dance die and matching Square Dance Stencil
  • Create a matching envelope with a gingham flap using our Flappable stencils and envelopes.
  • To create white snowdrop blooms onto a colored background, use the stencil included in the set with white texture paste.
  • You can stamp onto texture paste once it’s dry! Here I stamped the bloom details using pale blue ink once the paste was dry.
  • Our Macrame Borders & Tassels die is fun for adding textural details. Cut from gray kraft cardstock and paired with the gingham, it resembles pretty table linens!
  • The “wood” strip along the bottom of the kraft card was cut using the Curio: Cover die.

Last but not least, a slimline card filled to the brim with pretty Snowdrop blooms. Perfect for a spring wedding card!

  • Give the snowdrop blooms a soft look by sponging them with pink ink using the stencil included in the set, then layer diecut vellum blooms over the top. I heat embossed the bloom details by stamping onto the vellum using versamark ink and white embossing powder.
  • Two Snowdrop clusters can be stacked to fill a slimline base. The Crimped Slimline die was used here as my background.
  • Add some gems for a little sparkle, perfect for a wedding card.
  • The pretty sentiment here is from the Scripted Sentiments set.

I’ve always loved beautiful pens, and our new Inked Well set is filled with them…feather quills, fountain pens, and pretty jars of ink, complete with tiny labels. There are even tiny holders for the feather pens that are adjustable so you can set them at any angle to fit your design. We are also introducing a stand-alone fountain pen die called Pen Pal. It’s similar in size to the larger fountain pen stamps from the Inked Well set, but in die form instead.

Scripted Sentiments stamp set + coordinating die

Generously sized and oh-so-gorgeous, the new Scripted Sentiments are the perfect complement for the beautiful writing tools introduced above. The large sentiments are done in a beautiful calligraphy font and there are many smaller text sentiments that can be mixed and matched for a variety of occasions.

Vintage Type Stamp + Cut Combo and Graceful Stems die

Vintage Type is a gorgeous vintage typewriter! So many fun details on the die, and the small included stamp set is the icing on the cake with letters for the keys and flourishes to stamp on the front panels of the typewriter. I’ll be sharing an Instagram Reel soon showing how to assemble these! The Graceful Stems die was designed to allow you to tuck pretty floral stems into the typewriter on either or both sides of the “paper” included in the Vintage Type die. It’s definitely not limited to that, however! I’ve been reaching for it over and over this release…it’s great as a simple silhouette as well if you choose to omit the optional layers.

Sign Off Sentiments stamp set + coordinating die

The Sign Off Sentiments set was inspired by the many ways we have of signing off a note or letter…with all my heart, with gratitude, etc. So many great sentiments done in a mix of vintage typewriter and script fonts. They are sized to fit on the “paper” insert for the Vintage Type die introduced above, but this is a versatile set that I’m sure you’ll reach for over and over. The matching die allows you to cut out the sentiments.

Just My Type stamp set and Typed Greetings die

Next we have more type-inspired greetings! The Just My Type stamp set features lots of different sentiments that can be stamped onto the Vintage Type Typewriter paper, or used in so many other ways as well. There are sentiments ranging from cheeky to heartfelt. It covers lots of occasions, from Valentine’s, birthday, anniversary, and other year-round every day sentiments. The Typed Greetings die is a stand-alone die that features a handful of words in a typed font and includes a backer/shadow for each. The words included are thanks, love you, hello, and xoxo.

I’m excited to share some projects with you! First up I have a few projects using the new Pen Pal die paired with some of the beautiful new sentiments…

I couldn’t wait to create these pretty fountain pens in all sorts of colors!

  • Diecut Pen Pal from rich, deep hues for a fun masculine card. This would be a great card for a business thank you, father’s day, etc!
  • The Windowpane Plaid background stamp is the perfect simple background for these pretty pens.
  • For a fun touch, have some of the pen lid clips overlap the flourishes on the sentiment!
  • Heat embossing sentiments onto dark cardstock gives them a dramatic look! Stamping this onto white or lighter cardstock would have detracted a bit from the design and the rich, deep colors.

Up next I had a few pretty pens left from my pen-making spree. These had a lighter, more feminine vibe, so I created this simple card featuring a sentiment from the new Sign Off Sentiments set.

  • If you’re looking to add prints and patterns to the pens, the paper rolls from the Wrapped in Love stamp set work wonderfully!
  • Diecutting the pen tips and details from metallic cardstock adds a special, elegant touch. Don’t be afraid to mix up the metallics! I used a mix of bright gold, rose gold, and antique gold here. On the card above I also incorporated some gun metal metallic.
  • I also layered in a few of the small scalloped notes cut with the Sent With Love die.

One last Pen Pal card! I created this pretty floral pen which I thought turned out so pretty that it needed a card all of its own…

Up next I have some projects using the new Inked Well set and matching die. I loved creating with this set! First up is a card that uses both sized of ink jars and the larger feather pen.

  • The ink jars don’t have to be black! Here I diecut them from white and stamped the highlight detail in pale blue ink to create “glass” jars. I filled them with the new Graceful Stems diecuts.
  • The feather pen holders from the Inked Well set are in two pieces – the base and the triangle part that the pen goes “into”. These are separate (both the die and the stamp set) so that you can angle them to fit the placement of the feather on your project. Just line up the circles!
  • I always love using the Curio Cover die as a grounding element or “plank” for anything I might want to set on it. I used it again here, cut from gray kraft cardstock.
  • The pretty hello sentiment is from the new Scripted Sentiments set.

Up next is a wedding card. Like I mentioned yesterday, I’m needing to restock my wedding cards (we had two weddings in one weekend a couple of weeks ago!). The Inked Well set is perfect for elegant wedding cards!

  • To create a “fluffy” feather, I layered two feathers cut from vellum under the cardstock feather that I stamped on. Before stacking them I used a scissors to snip the feathers so I could create some dimension by bending and curling the edges slightly.
  • Like I mentioned earlier, the Graceful Stems die works beautifully as a silhouette – here I diecut a few from rose gold mirror cardstock and snipped them into pieces to add around the edges.
  • Diecut the quill portion of the feather from metallic cardstock too for even more elegance.

Next is a card using the large fountain pen from the Inked Well set.

  • The Postcard Details Pierce Plate is great for backgrounds. On this vertical card I angled it and trimmed off the excess.
  • The postage stamp image used here is from the Pretty Postmarks set that we released a few years ago as part of the original Love Letters collection.
  • The “you’re in our thoughts” sentiment used here is from the new Scripted Sentiments set. There is also a sentiment that says you’re in my thoughts, offering you more personalized greeting options.
  • Layering a few of the new Graceful Stems diecuts under the postcard adds a soft and pretty touch. I added color to the blooms and buds by sponging with rust-colored ink, then added shading with colored pencils and a white pen.

One last Inked Well project! I wanted to create a scene that feels sort of like a conservatory. I kind of want a desk here…lol!

  • I used the smaller feather from the Inked Well set here.
  • To create my hanging plants along the top I used the Macra-Made for You Fillers die.
  • The caning along the bottom was cut using the Woven Cane die.
  • Once my scene was finished I felt like it needed something to pull it all together, so I diecut a frame using the A2 Arches die and layered it over the top.

Now for a few projects using the new Vintage Type Stamp + Cut Combo and other coordinating goodies!

First up is this soft and pretty green and gold version…

  • One of my favorite soft, neutral cardstock colors is this super pale green called Grigio from Cardstock Warehouse. It goes with almost everything and is super soft and pretty!
  • Diecut the “paper” for the typwriter from vellum for a soft look.
  • The sentiment here is from the new Sign Off Sentiments set, heat embossed with gold.
  • The Postal Frames die makes a great backdrop for the typewriter.

The Vintage Type typewriter was just calling out to be turned into a pop-up easel card, which is my next project. I’ll be sharing a reel for this card soon! 😉

  • Easel cards are a super easy way to create an interactive card – it’s basically just a simple score line! It’s one of my favorite types of cards to make.
  • The sentiments from the Just My Type set were perfect for this project. The aqua typewriter also uses a sentiment from the Four Square Valentine Tags stamp set.
  • I have a few more typewriters ready to go to turn into easel cards. Play around with fun colors for the typewriters like the aqua I used here. With a bright pink sentiment, it’s perfect for a valentine card.
  • These would make great masculine valentines, which are always a challenge!
  • When assembling the typewriters you don’t need to fuss with the individual typewriter keys. Simply stamp the letters from the included stamp set onto a scrap of cardstock, punch out all of the keys from your diecut, and layer the scrap behind it so the letters show through the holes/keys.

Last but not least, a fun slimline card that uses the new Vintage Type stamp + cut combo and the new Typed Greetings die.

  • I used the individual letters from the Typed Greetings die to create the falling letters.
  • Instead of using the individual letters for the words, you can always diecut the base/shadow layer and then cut the letters from that so you are left with the negative. Back it with a second, solid shadow piece and voila…no fussing with tiny individual letters. I did add the center to my “a”, but you could leave that off as well.
  • The “long story short” portion of the sentiment is from the Just My Type stamp set.
  • My slimline panel was cut using the Crimped Slimline die.

I had so much fun creating with these new products! I have so many more ideas, I’m hoping I can find time to head back to my craft desk soon!

Big, bold, and beautiful, say it with a bit of flourish with the new Flourished Phrases Love product suite. The suite includes a three-step stencil set that features a large-scale “Love” word with a pretty shadow effect and lots of flourishes. The coordinating die can be used to cut out the stenciled word. Postal Modern stamp set & die

I always have a soft spot for postal-inspired images! Our new Postal Modern set features images and sentiments inspired by vintage postal elements, yet with a modern feel. There’s a great mix of sentiments and a few postage stamp-like images!

Postcard Details Pierce Plate + Airmail Border Stencil

To round out our postal theme, we have a few more postal-inspired items! The Postcard Details pierce plate adds postcard details to an A2 panel (and coordinates with our Postal Modern stamp set). Use this Pierce Plate on traditional card fronts, use it to create actual postcards. Our Airmail Border stencil is a quick and easy way to add a two-color striped border to an A2 panel.

I’m so excited to share some projects with you using today’s new product introductions!

Up first? A whole bunch of valentine tags using the new Four Square Valentine Tags stamp set and matching die, along with the previously released Four Square Tags die. These are fun and easy to put together! For a recap of how our Four Square Tags die works, check out this video. I’m showing our holiday stamps in the video, but the concept is the same for our Valentine set!

  • Keep it simple, or step it up by incorporating layers by using the matching Four Square Valentine Tag Elements die.
  • The pink and red tags were made by simply stamping directly onto the tags. I added just a few diecut hearts, but kept them very simiple for a set of quick and easy tags.
  • The blue and red tags incorporate more layers by using the Four Square Valentine Tag Elements die paired with the matching stamp set. I also incorporated a few diecut envelopes, etc from our new Sent With Love die.
  • The sunburst heart image is great for creating shaker tags. For mine here, I diecut the heart from the center of the stamped image (using the Four Square Valentine Tag Elements die), backed it with acetate and layered it over a Four Square Tag, capturing some Heart Bits inside and sealing it around the edges with foam tape.
  • Layering two tags and tying them together is a great way to add a place for a to/from sentiment.

Up next I have a couple of sets of postcards. One is Valentine themed using our Flourished Phrases Love stencil and stamps, and the other is perfect for any time of year using our Flourished Phrases Hello stencil and stamps.

First up, the Valentine version. Super sweet, filled with love, and ready to drop in the mail!

  • The Postcard Details Pierce Plate is great for making actual postcards. Here are a few tips…
  • Create your postcards from two sheets of cardstock adhered together back-to-back. Use the Postcard Details plate to add the details to one panel, then back it with the second plain panel which will be the “front” or side of the postcard with your design (stamping/stenciling/etc).
  • Avoid using two layers of really heavy cardstock since there is a limit on how thick postcards can be. You should be ok using 80lb or less.
  • When adhering the two panels back-to-back, take care to add adhesive around the flourish and detail cuts from the Postcard Details pierce plate, making sure they are adhered securely so your postcard won’t get caught up in the postal processing machines.
  • The Postcard Details Pierce Plate postage stamp area is sized to fit the special edition USPS stamps (these stamps are typically approx .9″ x 1.2″). Many times there are seasonal stamps in this size, so perfect for coordinating with your design like the ones I used here!
  • Avoid using diecuts on your postcards – stick to single-layer stamped or stenciled designs.

Additional project notes…

  • On a few of these valentine postcards I masked off the “o” in Love and replaced it with a heart. I made my own heart stencil using the heart die from the Four Square Valentine Tag Elements die.
  • Add additional details like dots and lines to the stenciled letters using a white pen.

Up next is the everyday version using the Flourished Phrases Hello stencil and matching Sentiment Additions stamp set…

  • Embellish the design even further with your favorite floral stamps or stencils. I used the Takes the Cake stamp + stencil set here and just stenciled/stamped a few blooms and leaves, nestling them among the flourishes.
  • I bent/curved the sentiments from the Flourished Phrases Hello Additions stamp set when attaching them to my stamping block so they fit nicely above the large Hello sentiment and made the design flow nicely!
  • After stenciling the letter portion of the design, leave your stencil in place and use a colored pencil to trace the outline of the letters to add more definition and depth to the letters. Ombre shading/inking also contributes to this!
  • Use a corner rounder punch to round the corners of your postcards.

Up next I have a few more Flourished Phrases projects. First is this Valentine card using Flourished Phrases Love stencil, die, and Sentiments stamps.

  • The Postcard Details Pierce Plate is fun for making postcards, but it’s a great background for regular cards with a postcard vibe. I used it here as a fun background.
  • The Airmail Border stencil easily creates a two-color striped border, but you can add even more color – here I used small sponges and four ink colors, sponging two colors on each stencil (every other stripe).
  • Stack up some small envelops from our Sent With Love die for a fun accent.
  • The images (postage stamps, postcard label, etc) from the Postal Modern set coordinate with the Postcard Details plate.

This next card again uses Flourished Phrases Love, this time for a wedding card. My wedding card stash is in need, and this set is perfect.

  • Stencil that big beautiful “Love” sentiment in the couple’s wedding colors for a personalized touch. Great for bridal showers, too!
  • The coordinating Flourished Phrases Love die lets you add more dimension to your design.
  • Layer the word over some floral or foliage diecuts. Here I used the leaves from our BotaniCuts: Rose die – these leaves are some of my all-time favorites!
  • Add some sparkle by adding Stickles to the flourishes and diecuts.
  • The “hand-stamped for you” seal from the Postal Modern set is great for stamping onto envelope flaps or the backs of cards.

Next a card using the Flourished Phrases Hello suite, including the die, which gives you lots of options for adding dimension to your design.

  • The Flourished Phrases Hello die includes individual letters for the word (the “Love” one includes individual letters as well). I used them here (cut from pink cardstock) and layered then over a darker background for a different look.
  • Use embossing paste to stencil the flourishes – white opaque on a dark background is so striking!
  • The medium-sized rectangle from our Nordic Frames die makes for a pretty background behind the word.
  • The pretty floral used here is part of our new collection as well. It’s called Graceful Stems and we’ll be sharing more info on that tomorrow!

Next I have several projects that feature the new Sent With Love die, stamp set, and Sentiment die. If you loved our Wrapped in Love set that was part of our holiday release, you’ll love this mail-themed set that has a similar vibe!

  • Attach the two scissor pieces with a tiny brad (we carry them in the shop here) for a working/interactive element!
  • Diecut some of the details like the scissors, wax seals, and fountain pen details from metallic cardstock for a realistic touch.
  • If you haven’t checked it out yet, I would highly recommend the Precision Glue Press from My Sweet Petunia. It’s become an essential tool for me when working with small diecuts like these in our Sent With Love set.
  • This card was inspired by a similar card I made (see it here) using our Wrapped In Love set. Our Halfsies Diamond die is perfect for this design, allowing you to fill the outer edges with the diecuts and place a sentiment in the center.
  • The happy mail sentiment I used here is from a new set call Scripted Sentiments that we’ll be showcasing tomorrow!
  • The sentiments and images in the Postal Modern stamp set are great for creating subtle background details. Stamp them in pale ink colors like light gray, cream, etc. They provide some interest and depth, but don’t distract from the other elements.

My next card is a birthday card using the new Sent With Love die, Sentiments stamp set, and Sentiment die.

  • Create an elegant look by diecutting the envelopes and other elements from the Sent With Love set in a mix of neutral shades like white, cream, kraft, and soft pink. A little metallic gold cardstock adds just the right amount of pop!
  • The Postal Frames die (which was part of our original Love Letters collection) is perfect for pairing with the new Love Letters P.S. collection.
  • The postal cancellation and lined stamps from the Postal Modern set are fun for adding subtle interest to backgrounds. Stamp them anywhere for a fun postal touch!
  • The Sent With Love Sentiments stamp set has sentiments for many different occasions. You could use this design for lots of different occasions just by swapping out the sentiment.

When I was diecutting all of those cute little elements using the Sent With Love die, I just couldn’t stop! I wanted to cut all of those tiny envelopes from allll the colors. So I have a ton of them to work with and had fun building a collage of elements on this next card.

  • For a vintage vibe, stamp some of the envelopes with patterns. The envelope with the text here was stamped using our Seed Catalog Background stamp. The striped envelope was stamped using the stripe image from the new Postal Modern set.
  • The striped stamp from the Postal Modern set almost looks like washi tape – I stamped it twice in the upper left corner here to resemble tape.
  • The pretty floral diecut in the background is called Graceful Stems and we’ll be sharing more info on that in tomorrow’s post!
  • Once again here I used a tiny brad to connect the two pieces of the scissors.

I have one more Sent With Love card for you…this one with a bright and fun Valentine theme!

  • The smaller postage-stamp frame from our Postal Frames die makes a great background for the Sent With Love set.
  • The Sent With Love Sentiments stamp set also includes a few images that coordinate with the Sent With Love die – there are tiny heart postage stamps that can be stamped onto the postage stamp diecuts as well as a dotted envelope liner for the open envelope from the set.
  • Add hearts to the envelope “flaps” for a fun touch. These were cut with the tiny heart included in the Sent With Love die.
  • Create a two-toned scissors by dicutting the scissors from gold and black cardstock. Snip the blades off of the black diecuts and layer them over the gold pieces as a base.

One last and final card from me today before we head out to the Team blogs! I loooove vintage-y postal things and wanted to pile up the images from the new Postal Modern set on this next card.

  • The Postcard Details Pierce Plate makes a wonderful starting point for my vintage postal-themed card.
  • The post card label, postage stamp sentiment, corners, and other postal details used here are all from the new Postal Modern stamp set.
  • When using the Airmail Border stencil you don’t always need to stencil the whole border. Here I used just one side (the left edge) for a subtle accent.
  • I stamped a few stems from the Lovely Silhouettes set under my Graceful Stems floral diecut (more on this die tomorrow!), which adds depth to my design.
  • The Just a Note sentiment is from a new set called Scripted Sentiments that we’ll be showcasing tomorrow.
