Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here! I have a super clean and simple Valentine for you today. I went back to some of my favorite past dies….The Hearts at Home Series. I love each of the adorable dies and the Hearts at Home coordinating stamp set. They all work great just in time for Valentines!

To create this card, I first added a teal ink blended spot right in the middle of the white card base. I chose 3 sentiments that went along with my cutie toaster and buttered toast. I stamped all of them at once using my Misti. Next, I die cut the toaster in a fun red card stock with some shiny silver accents. I added in the toast, the heart and butter details to finish off the card. So quick and easy!

You know I love clean and simple with lots of white space but I always love to share a few tips for adding in more detail:
- A background stamp or something like the Cozy Cup Coaster would ground the toaster for more detail in the background.
- Add a few more layers of cardstock to mat the main image.
- Use a texture die like the Pierced Plaid Plate, Woven Cane Background or Herringbone Parquet for an embossed background.
I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project! If you are inspired to create a clean and simple card, please tag me when you share over on Instagram! I love to see all your creations!

Laurie, as always….the most adorable card for V day. I made a few ‘Gal-entine’ cards this year too! You gotta love Betsy’s timeless designs!
Scrumptious, Laurie!!
So cute! Great reminder and example of a little shading in the background to help “pop” the focal point.
Just makes me SMILE ;D ! Thanks Laurie!
Very cute and sweet! Love it!
Laurie, your card is just so darn cute!
This is so cute! It would work well for a kitchen shower I think.
Thank you for sharing, Laurie!
I love how vintage-y this looks! I think the blue pop of color behind the main element; the shine (from the mirrored cardstock & implied shine of the white pen details); as well as the mixed fonts, all work together to give it that vintage feel. This is a great card!
