Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here!
There is a new die that I am in love with – the Nordic Tree die from the latest Icing Collection. I had to use it to make another card. I know you might be shocked….it’s not my clean and simple usual! I found several dies that I just had to use so I got brave and mixed several sets to create today’s card. Let me share a list:
Nordic Tree Die
Bright and Bubbly Stamp Set
Christmas Time Sentiments
Ribbon Frame die
A2 Arches Die
Rosemary and Berry die
To create the card, I used a dark navy card base and front panel. I used an A2 Arch die to create the top panel. I masked off the edges of the navy card base, stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes and then did a little white paint mist and glitter mist to get that glitter background. I die cut the Nordic Tree out of vellum and gave it a brown tree trunk.
Next, I layered the arched panel with foam tape and attached the ribbon around the arched opening. You can see here that I turned the ribbon frame upside down by snipping off the bow from the ribbon frame. Adding in 2 layers of the bow included in the die set along the bottom of the card gives it a fun layered look. I love that it’s easy to use that frame with the bow on top of the frame or the bottom with just a snip of the cardstock!
I then added the tree with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment from the Bright & Bubbly set, cut with the matching Sentiments die, and tucked in the Rosemary and Berry branches. To give it a little extra shine, I added glossy accents to the berries!
I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project! If you are inspired to create a clean and simple card, please tag me when you share over on Instagram! I love to see all your creations!
