Capsule Nativity Scene die
Very similar in concept to the Capsule Party Scene die we released earlier this year, these layering dies create a pretty nativity scene that nestles into your Capsule dies. They cut the “negative”, so are designed to be paired with the dies and other products from our Capsule Series, particularly our Capsule Basics die, but can also be cut from just a panel of cardstock. I couldn’t wait to create a tunnel card with this set!

Laid Back Holiday stamp set & die
Earlier this year, we released our Laid Back Basics set, an everyday sentiment set done in a font we’ve been loving (and used in several different sets this year). Well, we’re happy to be brining you a holiday version, filled with classic holiday sentiments. You’ll reach for this one over and over!

Market Tote & Market Tote Mini dies
Quick and easy to assemble with just two diecuts, these fun totes can be dressed up in so many ways and filled with goodies and novelties galore. The larger size is big enough to hold a gift card, and the mini is the perfect size for small treats, chocolates, etc. Each one also includes some fun details…bows, a single teeny tag (the same size as those in our Teeny Tags die), and some optional details that can be added. A fun thing to note…the larger tote is the perfect size for stamping any of the sentiments from our Simple Sentiments sets, and the Mini is the perfect size for stamping with any of our Simple Mini Sentiments sets!

I put together a quick how-to assembly video for the Market Totes…

Today’s new products will be available individually, but they’ll also be available via an easy-shop bundle. The Novelties & Nativities bundle includes the five new products introduced above.

Time for some projects!
Like I mentioned above, I couldn’t wait to create a tunnel card with the new Capsule Nativity Scene die. As soon as I got to test drive this set, it was the very first thing on my list of makes! I pulled out my go-to woodgrain cardstock (from LCI Paper) to create something that’s a little hard to believe is actually just paper! I love how the woodgrain paper mixed with the embossed border done with the Capsule Quilt Shop embossing folder gives it an almost Scandinavian vibe.

I used the largest plain die from the Capsule Basics set to create each of the panels for my tunnel. I’ll be sharing a video tomorrow, so I won’t go into a whole lot of detail on the construction! The little pine sprigs give it just a little bit of color, and were cut using our BotaniCuts Pine Bough die. The accents on the accordion folds along the sides were stamped using our Capsule Holiday Borders stamp set. The sentiments are from the new Laid Back Holiday stamp set and matching die.

The back panel of the tunnel card is a pocket were I created a pull-out by using the smaller scalloped die from the Capsule Basics set and our Bow Bookmark die. This is the perfect place to stamp a sentiment. The sentiments I used on the pull-out are also from the new Laid Back Holiday set. The pine border was stamped with the previously released Capsule Holiday Borders set, the same set I used on the accordion folds. This project involves quite a bit of diecutting, but the end result is so fun and totally worth it in my opinion!

I created a coordinating pop-up easel card that’s also interactive, but a little simpler to put together. This time I paired the Capsule Nativity Scene dies with the smaller scalloped die from the Capsule Basics set so I could use it to create this A2 sized easel card.

I love how the first part of the sentiment (again from the new Laid Back Holiday set) is on the outside, and then when you pop up the easel, the rest of the sentiment is on the inside flap or “catch” for the easel. I again used some BotaniCuts Pine Bough sprigs to add some color and sparkle. I also tucked in a few sprigs from our Berry Bouquet Builder set. The woodgrain is of course again LCI Paper’s 111lb woodgrain cardstock (I’m addicted!). The blue is Mohawk Arctic (sponged with a little Distress Oxide Faded Jeans for some subtle shading. the back solid panel that you can see through the star cut-out is Antique Gold Stardream shimmer cardstock. The dark green is Colorplan Racing Green

Up next is a lighter, airier take on the Capsule Nativity Scene dies. This time I pulled out some parchment paper to cut those pretty nativity layers. I love how the parchment paper has a vellum-like quality that lets the layers kind of show through each other.

The paper I used specifically is Natural Pergamenata Parchment in 59lb cover weight. It comes in a heavier weight as well, but you lose a little of the translucence with the heavier, so I went with the lighter. My card base was created with Antique Gold Stardream cardstock. I used a plain Capsule Basics die (the one that’s just smaller than the smaller scallop) to cut a window from my card front. I stacked two of the Capsule Nativity Scene diecuts – the tree/foliage layer and the figure layer (cut by combining the smaller Capsule Basics scallop with each of the three nativity layers) and layered them over the window on my card front. I also cut a frame from the gold shimmer paper and the scalloped Capsule Basics die paired with the plain one that’s just smaller. For the star layer, I cut that from an A2 panel of parchment and adhered it to the inside of my card. I used the star from the Capsule Nativity set to cut a star from gold mirror cardstock and adhered it to the inside of my card, lining it up with the star cut-out in the parchment layer. The little sentiment on the front is from the Simple Holiday Mini Sentiments set. The little bows in the corners were cut from gold glitter cardstock using the little bows from last week’s Bow-tique Holiday die. The larger sentiment on the inside is from the new Laid Back Holiday set.

Up next I used just to foliage layer from the Capsule Nativity Scene to create a fun snowy scene shaker card!

I cut two of the tree/foliage layer, one from white and one from mint cardstock. I sponged some darker green inks onto the mint layer, and stacked them, offsetting just a bit so the white under layer shows. I used the smaller scallop and the next smaller plain die from the Capsule Basics set to cut three frames from white cardstock, which I stacked up to create my well for my snow and glitter. Inside my scene I strung some “lights” using one of the cute little garland dies from last year’s Market Place Holiday Festoons die. The mint card front panel was also embossed with the Capsule Quilt Shop embossing folder. I added a few fun details to the top of my scene – a Regency Bow No. 1, and some Berry Bouquet Builder sprigs. The Merry & Bright sentiment is from the new Laid Back Holiday set.

Last but not least today, I have a bunch of the new totes and mini totes! These are so fun to make just by adding some simple embellishments. They are quick and easy and can hold treats and trinkets of all kinds…for the holidays and beyond.

This one is embellished with a Berry Bouquet Builder bouquet and a Teeny Tag sentiment…

This one uses a sentiment from the Simple Holiday Sentiments set and a quilt block stamped with our Quilt Block Builder set…

And this larger one was just embellished with a simple little sprig of greenery cut with our Bigger Holiday Botanicals Wax Flower die. The mini just has a Simple Holiday Mini Sentiment, heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

That wraps up my projects for today, but the team has so much more to share with you! I hope you’ll hop along and check out all of their beautiful creations!

I love the creativity that The Greetery uses, the look is so refined and simple but beautiful.
My card club says I pay way too much for die sets but I see it as creating mini art for the ones I love.
Thanks for this gift I get to pass on with my little press!
I’ve waited a long time for a nativity set to use at Christmas, but never found what I wanted. This set is perfect, and I love that you showed a way to use some of the dies with the Capsule Basics to create a card that was not nativity based. Fabulous new products!
Can’t wait to get my hands on those totes!
Love the capsule tunnel nativity scene dies and the cute mini tote! Tote plus the baskets from last week would be cute too.
Love the cute totes!
May have to adopt my mom’s method of everyone gets a unique Christmas card, as there are too many cute things to make them all the same. How would I ever decide on just one design.
The nativity scene is a sure fire hit! Love the layering concept!
