Golden Egg & Chocolate Bunnies product suite
We have a handful of great Easter basics coming your way! This product suite consists of a basic egg die set, along with coordinating Filigree Frames for the eggs. The oval that’s included in the set is sized to nicely frame any of the Bigger Botanicals dies (introduced below). The Golden Egg stencil set can be used on its own, or paired with the Gold Egg dies for more layering options. The overall stenciled design fills a 5 x 7″ card front. The egg portion of the stencil can be used to add some shading and pattern to the largest Golden Egg die, or it can be omitted completely from the stenciled design so that you can use that pretty floral border all on its own for year-round applications. The Chocolate Bunnies die is a sweet take on the perennial favorite chocolate bunny!

Bigger Botanicals dies
You loved our Bigger Holiday Botanicals dies, so we’ve taken our original Bitty Botanicals set and enlarged those florals into stand-alone die form as well! They are wonderful for floral accents and focal points all year long. I’ve taken some artistic liberty with these, so don’t count on them being anatomically correct, lol! As I mentioned, most of these were created from the tiny flowers from our Bitty Botanicals set. When drawing them I really had no intention of them becoming stand alone, named florals, but they were loosely inspired by a vintage botanical book, so I relied on that for naming them. Which was also interesting as the book is written in Russian. Just thought I’d share that fun little backstory! 🙂

Silly Goose product suite
Duck, duck…goose! Geese are everywhere these days, and we couldn’t resist hopping on the trend with this sweet product suite. It includes a set of geese dies, complete with lots of fun accessories to dress them up…hats, boots, balloons, and more. The Silly Goose Sentiments set includes sentiments for babies, Easter, moms, birthdays, and more.

That concludes the product intros, so let’s get to some projects! I have SO many more bits and pieces lying on my desk – I can’t wait to put together more projects, but for now, I’ll share what I have!
First up is a card that uses the Golden Egg dies, Golden Egg Filigree Dies, and the Golden Egg stencil. I’m loving the large 5 x 7″ card size that we’ve been releasing products for recently. The Golden Egg stencil fills a 5×7 card, but as I’ll show you with my next project, with a little creative positioning it works well for A2 cards too.

For the egg, I diecut the largest egg from the Golden Egg die and then embossed it with the new Tangled Tulips embossing folder. Not a whole lot of the design shows, but that’s ok. I just wanted to add some pretty texture to the egg. Before embossing it, I also used the oval from the Golden Egg set to cut out the middle of the egg so I could place a floral inside. Here I used the Bigger Botanicals Mallow die. I also framed out that oval with the matching oval die from the Golden Egg Filigree Borders die, cut from vintage gold cardstock.

I used the Golden Egg stencil to stencil the pretty floral frame on my card front panel. I also pulled out my colored pencils to add some shading to the stenciling. It’s one of my favorite ways to really elevate a stenciled design, and is very simple to do. All you need is some simple lines and strokes to add a little detail and definition! The sentiment banner is from the Tangled Tulips die, stamped with a sentiment from the Tangled Tulips stamp set (I can’t stop using those sweet little banners!).

Up next I again used the Golden Egg stencil, but this time on an A2 card by doing a little repositioning and selective stenciling – super easy to cover up little portions using sticky notes and only stencil what you’d like to fill your card. The design is symmetrical, so I always think that makes it easier as well – once you have one side how you like it, you can do the other side just the same.

Inside my pretty stenciled frame I placed a sweet little family of geese. There are lots of fun accessories in the Silly Goose set. Here I used the cute little rain boots. I didn’t have nearly enough time to create with these cuties, but I have a whole gaggle of them on my desk and can’t wait to use them up. I turned this into an Easter card using a sentiment from the Silly Goose Sentiments set, but it would make a very sweet baby, spring, or even a birthday card by swapping out the sentiment. The bow placed at the top was cut with the Shortbread Shapes: Scalloped Hearts die.

I created a tiny tag to coordinate with the card by using the smallest die from the Golden Egg Filigree Borders die, backed with a solid egg cut from acetate using the matching plain egg from the Golden Egg set. Inside the egg I put one of the baby geese, embellished with a bow from the set, and added a Hang It Up topper to turn it into a tag.

Up next I have just a whole bunch of fun things that I put together using goodies from the new collection, combined with some previously released things as well. There are shaped cards and tags, and lots of fun doo-dads.

I’ll share some more details on each…
This first one is a fun clear jumbo-tag that used the Sweetest Frames Capsule stamp and die to make the base, a Capsule Filigree Border inside, and a Bigger Botanicals: Hawthorne flower cluster. I topped it off with a Regency Bow No 1 and a Hang it Up hanger. The sentiment banner is from the Tangled Tulips set.

Next are a few smaller Capsule-shaped tags that combine the Sweetest Frames Capsule set, Capsule Filigree Borders, and Bigger Botanicals Starflower and Oregano, plus Hang it Up hangers. The sentiments are both from the Simple Holiday Mini Sentiments set (I love that that set has some great year-round sentiments for tags and gifts!).

Up next we have some adorable bunnies, eggs, and the little goose tag I shared a bit earlier in the post. One of the Chocolate Bunnies is nestled in the oval from the Golden Egg set and framed with the oval filigree from the Golden Egg Filigree Borders set. I put a few Bigger Botanicals sprigs behind him – a Starflower and Genista. The tiny embossed egg was created by cutting the smallest egg from the Golden Egg set and embossing it with the new Shortbread Shapes Rectangle Easter embossing folder, which are designed to coordinate!

Next I have several egg-shaped cards. I created the shaped bases by diecutting the largest egg from the Golden Egg set from folded cardstock. I used the oval from the set to cut a window from the front of each. Each one is embellished a bit differently!

I’ll go through and share some details of each one…
The first one uses a sweet Chocolate Bunny in the center oval focal window. I stenciled some details using the Golden Egg stencil. I tucked a Bigger Botanical Oregano around him and added a sentiment from the Silly Goose Sentiments set.

Up next I again did some ink blending using the Golden Egg stencil. On the bunny card above, the bunny is on the inside of the card. On this one I backed the oval cut-out with some clear acetate and placed a Bigger Botanical: Jacob’s Ladder floral onto the acetate so it is actually on the front of the card.

This next one showcases the Bigger Botanicals Soapwort die. I embossed this egg using the Rosemal Reflections embossing folder and also topped it off with a Regency Bow No 1 diecut. I love how the ribbon ends flow perfectly down the sides of the egg.

This one isn’t so much of a card as it is a jumbo tag. I didn’t create a folded base, but rather left it a flat single layer added a hanger from the Hang it Up die. This one was embossed using the Shortbread Shapes: Scalloped Hearts embossing folder, and I placed a Bigger Botanicals: Cress diecut inside to oval, which was backed again with acetate.

And finally, this one might be my favorite from the group. I pulled out my Easter Morning Sentiments stamp set and matching die to create the cross to place in the oval frame. I diecut it three more times and stacked them all up to give it some dimension and make it pop from the background.

The egg was embossed with the Tangled Tulips embossing folder. I added several flower sprigs using the Bigger Botanicals dies…Cress, Genista, and, Jacob’s Ladder. The banner and sentiment are from the Tangled Tulips set and die.
