Itโs Friday! Always the most awesome day of the week here on The Greetery blog. Iโm here with this weekโs TGIF project, and also a fun announcement!
First, our announcementโฆSave the Date! I hope youโll join us starting next Thursday! Weโll kick off this yearโs holiday release with some sneak peeks and then 3 big days of projects and reveals before this yearโs holiday collection goes up in the shop on Thursday, October 7. So excited to show you all the new things we have in store!

Now for a little TGIF project to inspire you as we head into the weekendโฆ
For last weekโs TGIF feature, I pulled out the Heart Leaf Posy Pocket and Boxwood Heart Details dies we released earlier this year. This got me thinking about how fun it would be to combine the Boxwood Heart with our newest wreath โ Rustic Wreath for a little wreath making mash-up. These two product suites are very similar in concept, and they work well together to give you even more wreath-building options!

I created two wreaths, one heart-shaped using our Boxwood Heart Base and Details dies, and one round using our Rustic Wreath Base and Twigs dies. I used the basic construction for each of these to create the wreaths as directed. Then I mixed in bits and pieces from the opposite collection into each. For the heart wreath I snipped apart the Rustic Twigs and tucked in little bits and branches. I also pulled out my Curio: Autumn Findings die to add a few acorns, and tucked in a few โberryโ sprigs which are actually cut using the BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix die.

For the round wreath, I snipped apart the Boxwood Heart Details branches and tucked them in among the twigs. I didnโt add anything else to this one as it felt nice and full all on its own. All of the elements for both wreaths were cut from white cardstock and then sponged with warm shades of Oxide Inks.

For the backgrounds, I wanted to keep it simple, but also add some drama! I used a panel of black cardstock, splattered with some metallic inks. The sentiments are also metallic to carry through with the lookโฆthe โautumnโ was hot-foiled using our Letโs Have a Word: Autumn hot foil plate, and the โhelloโ was stamped with our Opposites Attract set and heat embossed with gold powder.

I had so much fun pairing up these two different product suites! I hope it inspired you to build some wreaths of your own!
