Warm & Cozy Thanks with Dana

Hi crafty friends! It’s Dana here today and I am stopping by with a thank you card to share with you all. I didn’t have a chance to use the Warm & Cozy dies that were released last Christmas so I thought I would use them today to create a card that can be used throughout the year.

I started my card by creating my card panel with the Herringbone Parquet die. I ink blended a piece of the panel with Kraft ink and attached the two pieces together to create the wall and floor of my scene. I then used the Frosted Frames die to create the frame to go around the edges of the panel. I love the way the frame finishes off the panel to give it a fun, clean design.

Next, I used the Warm & Cozy dies to create my chair and accessories. I used a combination of solid and patterned paper for my die cutting. I love the mix of patterns and I think it adds a little extra fun detail. Lastly, I used the Thankful Heart set and matching die for my basket and sentiment.

Holiday Gifts Galore with Wanda

Hi creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here today on The Greetery Blog! Hope you’re doing great and enjoying this beautiful season. Once it’s November, it’s time to turn our crafting pursuits towards the holidays! For my project today I created a classically red and green Christmas Card using the gorgeous Gifts Galore Stencils and Dies… This card is nice and flat for mailing too! I added a bit of sparkle to it, and I used the new Warm and Cozy stamp set for the perfect sentiment.

My finished card is an A2 white card base. I layered green patterned paper on top of the white card base. To begin the card I used the Gifts Galore Stencils and kept my colors to only red and green. This idea has been in my head for a long time and I really like how it turned out. I used two shades of red and two shades of green for a clean monochromatic look. I die cut the bows and ribbons using the Gifts Galore dies – and used bright gold cardstock.

I trimmed my presents panel down to 4″ x 5.25″. I glued all the gold pieces onto the gifts and then added a few pearls as embellishments. I heat embossed the pretty sentiment onto vellum using white embossing powder for an elegant look. I wrapped my vellum strip around the presents and affixed that whole panel to the card base. I couldn’t resist adding a few snowy white paint splatters too!

Fall Fireside with Dana

Hi crafty friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with another card for Fall. The Fireside dies create such a beautiful card for the holidays, but when I saw them I knew I would be using them for fall too!

I started my card by using the Fireside dies to create my fireplace. I used a combination of cardstock in fall colors to assemble the fireplace. I added a little ink blending to the panel in the fireplace opening and then built my fire to finish the fireplace.

Next, I used the Warm & Cozy dies to die cut the rug for my scene. I tucked the rug under the fireplace and attached everything to a card panel that I created with the Herringbone Parquet die. I then used Autumn Harvest dies to die cut my pumpkins, gourds and corn stalks. I ink blended the pieces and then attached them to my panel. Lastly, I used the Oakwood stamp and Oakwood Sentiments die set for my sentiment.
