Happy Friday! Angelica is here with some amazing (and colorful) inspiration to kickstart your weekend. Enjoy! 😊
One of my favorite items from the new Catching Summer Collection is the dragonfly from Curio: Summer Findings. I Think dragonflies are so gorgeous to look at, and I knew I was going to make a card dedicated to them. I die-cut several of them from Neenah Solar White 110 lb white card stock, and sat down with Copic markers for a fun coloring session.

This was a great opportunity to work on color combinations, and I ended up with a full rainbow of swatches. Here’s the Copic combinations I used: Greens- G18, G03, YG41; Blue Greens- BG78, BG18, BG13; Yellows- Y28, YR23, Y21; Oranges- E07, YR18, YR15, YR12; Pinks- RV29, RV14, RV13, RV21; Dark Reds- R89, R85, R83, R81; Purples- V09, V05, RV63; Dark Violet- V99, V95, V93-, V91; Light Blues- B18, B04, B02, B00; Dark Blues- B99, B97, B93, B91.
For the background, I stamped the blurred clouds from Sunset Skies. I pulled ink pads from my stash that matched the Copic colors, and stamped the panel. Once stamped, I glued the dragonflies on the coordinating cloud.
I finished the card with Opposites Attract sentiment. I die-cut white card stock with the coordinating die for the sentiment and script first, then stamped the sentiments. I attached them to the card with foam squares to finish the card.
I hope this gives you crafty inspiration right in time for the weekend! Thanks so much for joining me today.
