Strawberry Hugs with Laurie

Hello crafty friends! It’s Laurie Willison here! Welcome to the clean and simple side of The Greetery! I have a card to share today that was SO fun to make, with a bold pop of color and an easy sentiment.

I am so in the mood for summer which makes me think of growing all the things in the garden, including yummy strawberries! I had to pull out the BontaniCuts Strawberries die for the occasion.

To create this card, I die cut all the pieces in the Botanicuts Strawberry Die Set. Using a white card base, I layered on a Postal Frames panel, also in white card stock. Adding in the sentiment from Arched Sentiments, kept this clean and simple card very clean. I love how this works for several occasions! To finish the card, I layered on the berries inside the arched sentiment and one little one, off to the side. I added in a bow too, from The Sweetest Frames Die Set, just for some extra color!

There are lots of ways to add more detail!

Add in a background stamp or stencil.
Use coordinating patterned paper to add in color to match your focal point. You can add many of The Greetery Florals here instead of strawberries!
Add in a few more strawberries around the card front.

Flourished Phrases Thanksgiving with Wanda

Hi there my creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here on The Greetery Blog today to share a project with you! I am always so excited and happy to share with you. How much did you love the August new release? Gosh – it was so pretty! And I absolutely love Autumn…. For my project today, I am continuing the Fall theme with warm colors and touches of gold. My card features the new Flourished Phrases – Thanks – stamps/stencils/dies. I’m getting a jump on Thanksgiving cards!

My finished card is a cream A2 card base. I started by stenciling the Airmail Border in yellow and brown inks to make the base layer for my card. Next I die cut a cream postal panel – keeping it clean and elegant.

I stenciled the Flourished Phrases “Thanks” word in orange, brown and yellow – because those colors say Thanksgiving to me. I splattered on some gold paint too! I die cut the Thanks out with the matching Flourished Phrases Thanks die. I die cut a second piece using gold cardstock and layered them for just a touch of a gold shadow.

Next I die cut some pumpkins and corn stalks using the Autumn Harvest Dies. I gently inked the edges of those pieces to add a bit of contrast. I stamped Happy and Giving around the Thanks word to spell out Happy Thanksgiving! It’s perfect!

I assembled the card using foam tape to add layers and depth. I finished by adding just a few dark orange gems.

TGIF – Award Winning Love with Wanda

Hi there my creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here on The Greetery Blog today to share a project with you! I am always so excited and happy to share with you. Hope you’re doing great! I am still so in love with the new release and I decided to make another project featuring some of the new items. I was inspired by the awesome Award Winning dies and really wanted to make a more vintage/masculine project using them. It’s always fun to see how using a different color palette or style can change the look of our favorite stamps and dies….

My finished card is an A2 cream card base. I covered it in diamond harlequin paper and then layered a Postal Frame diecut in cream. The star of the card is the Award Winning Dies! I used the XOXO from the Typed Greetings Dies to make the center of the award stand out.

I started this card by die cutting all the pieces of the award using patterned papers and cardstocks. I generously inked up all the pieces with Antique Linen Distress Ink to make it all look aged and vintage. In between the bottom two layers of the award, I created a rosette layer by folding strips of paper in an accordion fashion. Then I glued all the layers together to make my award. I die cut the XOXO using silver and black cardstocks and attached it to the award using foam dots. I added a mirrored heart charm also. Finally I added a couple silver streamers die cut from the Hey Honeycomb Balloons die set.

It is always nice to have some masculine cards on hand for the guys in our lives! My husband loves the vintage look, so he will most likely be the recipient of this card for our anniversary this year.

Lunchbox Love Note with Angelica

Hello Everybody, and Happy New Year! I have a card to share with you today showcasing a few new products from The Greetery’s new Love Letters PS Collection.

The first thing I did was make the envelope. The envelope, red flowers, and red heart all come from the new Sent With Love die. I also added three BotaniCuts Lavender stems to give the envelope some height and extra color. And if you peek through the bouquet, you can see pink and white polka dot paper. There’s a die included in Sent With Love die set that die-cuts a liner for this envelope. So cute!

For the sentiment, I decided on a die-cut sentiment from Typed Greetings Die. I love typewriter fonts, and was a fan of this sentiment die set as soon as I saw it. to make the sentiment bold, I decided on a black background to add the white die-cut letters to. I attached the envelope and sentiment to a white Postal Frames panel, and adhered the panel to a Herringbone Parquet background.

This card is going to go right into my husband’s lunch box. I know he’s going to smile when he sees it. That’s all that I have for today. Happy Crafting!
