TGIF! Angelica is joining us today with an absolutely gorgeous project…you’re going to want to pull out your BotaniCuts Strawberries die and play along!
But first, a bit of news. We’ve been getting lots of questions about when our next release is happening! We’ll be releasing a small collection of new things very soon! We’ll start sharing some peeks of our latest collection called Breath of Spring with next week’s TGIF post, and the new collection will go up in the shop on March 17. I’m getting excited to share all of the details…(I’ve seen a few peeks of what the team has been creating and you’re in for a treat)!
Now let’s hear from Angelica about the gorgeous project she has for you today!
This past weekend has been rainy and miserable here, so I thought I would cheer myself up by inking up some bright red strawberries! I love strawberry prints so much. They take me back to my grandma’s wallpapered kitchen, with her white frilly curtains over the windows. Needless to say, it was love at first sight when I saw the BotaniCuts Strawberries die.
I made 5 strawberry bunches in all. I die cut white card stock, and inked the paper with Distress Oxide Inks. I used Barn Door and Aged Mahogany for the berries, and Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Rustic Wilderness on the leaves. Once I glued the pieces together, I moved on to the background.
I blended Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon onto Bristol Smooth paper, and let the panel dry for a bit. I glued the strawberries onto the panel, trimmed the edges, and attached it to a card base. I glued the white flowers into place, and colored yellow centers with Y00 and Y000 Copic Markers. I finished the card with a hot foiled Opposites Attract hello.
I love how the white flowers really balance out the vibrant colors of the card. This was a lot of fun to make, and I hope I was able to send some crafty inspiration your way. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
