Feminine Collage Card with Melissa

I love the look of collage-style cards and today tried my hand at my own version of one. I began with adding script across the upper right and lower left of my A2 card base using the Pretty Postmarks stamp set. I added a postal image using this same set as well.

At this time I added a bit of stenciling using the Snowflake Prints Stencil, adding a bit of color and pattern in the lower right and upper left corners.

Next I brought in a soft yellow oval where I layered on my beautiful BotaniCuts Roses and Big Branches Baby’s Breath die cuts. I used a watercolor effect on my flowers and leaves adding some splatters of Distress Spritz and Stickles Glitter at the end.

I stamped my sentiment (from the Pretty Postmarks set) on PreText Banners die cut and tucked it under my flower petals to finish.

This was so much fun to create and I loved bringing in bits of different elements and images to create my scattered, collage-style card!

Stencils make mass producing Christmas cards so fun, enjoyable, and easy. I’ve chosen the beautiful Mistletoe Arches Stencil collection and Mistletoe Arches dies for my card today. I’ve used my favorite sentiment stamp set, Tagged Elegance, that now has coordinating dies!

I added a strip of coordinating aqua paper across the front of my card, cut using the Ribbon Maker: Small Stripes die. I topped it with a snowflake cut using the lovely Snipped Snowflakes 2 die. A couple of strands of twine tied on a bow at the center of my card, finished off this sweet holiday card.

Peaceful Frosty Pines with Melissa

Have you ever created a card or tag using only dies? That’s just what I’ve done on my card today. The beautiful Frosty Pines dies were used to create my focal points.

I created a trio of pine trees, using soft, pastel ink sponged over the surfaces. I created a snowy feel by using Cottontail embossing powder that puffs when you heat set it in place. I chose to add a vertical sentiment using the lovely, Peaceful Olive die. Lastly, I added some shimmer and sparkle using Crystal Stickles Glitter. Everything was layered over a background created with the Twinkle Background die. This was such a fun card to create!

Day of Thanks with Melissa

Hi there! Melissa here, sharing a project with you today…

The Flourished Phrases series from The Greetery is one of my favorites! I feel like an artist each time I use one of them, including the new Flourished Phrases: Thanks stencil, die, and coordinating sentiment stamps. I used one of the 2025 Half Calendar Pages for my card base, adding in a die cut Calendar Grid for some added texture.

The lovely roses were cut from the Birth Month Blooms Cuttables using the coordinating Birth Month Blooms Q2 dies. These cuttables can be used all-year round and are so beautiful!

Butterfly Floral Thanks with Melissa

Before we get to the beautiful project Melissa is sharing with us today, I wanted to share a note with you. If you follow Melissa on social media, you may already know that between today and when Melissa shared her post and project with me a few weeks ago, her life has taken a dramatic turn. She has been diagnosed with Leukemia, and will be spending several weeks in the hospital, followed by several weeks/months of outpatient treatment. Melissa has become a dear friend and colleague over the past many years, and I know she is dear to many of you as well. I’m sharing her GoFund Me link here, in case you would like to support Melissa during this long journey.

Now I’ll turn it over to Melissa to share her beautiful project with us…

Hi Greetery friends, Melissa here! There’s something about butterflies, florals, and arches that just inspire me and The Greetery has them all!

My front panel contains an arched opening that I die cut using the A2 Arches dies. I then used the lovely Wildwood stamp set to stamp around the arched opening. Next I layered my panel over a yellow card base and used the A2 Arches stencils to shade a bit. Lastly, I added a sentiment from the Scripted Sentiments stamps and dies and sweet butterflies using the Curio: Summer Findings die set. Such a delightful card to create!

Spring is for New Beginnings with Melissa

I’ve created a bouquet of pretty Spring flowers using the gorgeous, Spring Meadow stencils and matching die.

These products are so easy to use and create beauty in minutes! I tied my bouquet together using the Loopy Bow Builder die and surrounded it using the Frosted Frames die. I love this sentiment from the New Day Sentiments stamps and dies. I added some diecut flowers using the matching Spring Meadow die for even more layers. I finished it off by adding some ink splatters, glitter, and pearls to a few of the flower centers.

Takes the Cake with Melissa + Spring Fling Sneak Peek!

Good morning and happy Friday! Melissa is here with the most gorgeous birthday card project for a little inspiration Friday! But before we get to that, some fun news…we have some new spring goodies coming to the shop next week!

Today I’m sharing the first sneak peek of our Spring Fling collection that will hit the shop next Thursday, February 29 at 10am ET. It’s a smaller release, but chock-full of pretty things for spring, Easter, and moms. We’ll be blog hopping and showcasing everything next week Tuesday and Wednesday before the new goodies hit the shop on Thursday.

Today I’m using some of my very most favorite Greetery products!

I began with the Embroidered Background stamp to create my soft, subtle card base. I wanted to be sure it didn’t detract from my focal point. I then used the Window Dressing Dotted Scallops die to cut a window from my background, layering it over my card base. Next came the beautiful Takes the Cake stamp + stencil, Floral Details, Banner, and Cake Stand dies. This gorgeous cake comes together so quickly and easily. I added some sweet Buttercream Toppers to finish! A perfect birthday card for someone special!

Flourished Phrases Hello with Melissa

The new Flourished Phrases Hello Stencils and Dies are some of my very most favorite products from the Love Letters P.S. Collection. These new products make creating so fun, quick, and effortless. Create beauty in minutes! I’ve also used the delightful, new Airmail Border Stencils, Graceful Stems dies, and Scripted Sentiments. Everything in this new collection works together so perfectly!

Melissa started with a few layers of patterned and dotted texture paper from her stash, then added the Hello diecut, which was stenciled with the matching stencil set. The “note to say” sentiment was stamped with the Scripted Sentiments stamp set onto a Sentiment Suite Basics banner. She also stenciled the striped airmail border along the bottom edge of the textured paper. She added a few Graceful Stems diecut blooms and leaves around the sentiment, and added some white paint splatters for an artsy finish.

Melissa’s card is such a sunny and beautiful way to send a hello! I hope it brightened your January day!

Mixed Media Ornament with Melissa + Save the Date!

Hello and happy Tuesday! We are getting to enjoy the most beautiful fall weather, it’s hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner! But it is indeed that time. Time to start thinking about all of the holiday prep…shopping, wrapping, cards, and all the rest! I love this time of year!

We are also busy getting ready for our last new product release of 2023. We have some fun things coming to the shop next week…wonderful products for gift wrapping, tag making, and of course cards and more. We’ll be sharing some sneak peeks later this week and revealing everything here on the blog on Monday, November 20 before our new All That Glitters collection hits the shop on Tuesday, November 21. We’d love to have you join us for the fun!

Now let’s hear from Melissa and the beautiful project she has to share today!

I’ve combined some of my favorite Greetery products on my Christmas card for you today and also added in a few mixed media elements too. Creating for Christmas is the perfect time to pull out all the stops when it comes to supplies!

I used the Pine & Berry Background stamp on Kraft cardstock. I coated the edges and a portion of the surface area with Shabby Green Embossing Enamel and then heat set it in place. I then die cut and stamped Pine & Berry images and arranged them at the top of my Jumbo Curiosity Teardrop Ornament. I added a Figgy Pudding Bow Topper die cut and a sentiment from the Pine Blossom stamp set to finish. A few bits of trim, piano sheet music, and red jingle bell were added to create a vintage look and feel.

Thanks Sew Much with Melissa + Save the Date!

Hello and happy Tuesday! Melissa is here today sharing a gorgeous card using products from our Handiwork collection! Before we get to that, I just wanted to give you a little heads up! We have new holiday products coming to the shop next week. Eep! We’ve been busy behind the scenes getting everything ready!

Our Recollective Holiday collection will be available in the shop on Friday, October 6th. It’s filled with things inspired by my childhood Christmases…most notably the time and traditions spent at my grandmother’s house. She loved Christmas! She looked forward to it and prepared for it all year. So many of the products in our Recollective collection were inspired by her. I’m excited to share it all with you!

I hope you’ll join us for sneak peeks starting in just a few days, and then next week will be filled with product reveals and projects from the team before it all hits the shop on Friday, October 6.

Now let’s check out the beautiful project Melissa is sharing today…

I have a major crush on the tiny scissors from the Handiwork Notionable die collection. I needed a quick Thank You card and knew I wanted to center it around these cute scissors.

I used the gorgeous Rose Tapestry Stencils to create my background and then built my scene over the top. A panel of vellum helps add some subtlety to the background, allowing the focal point to stand out a little from the patterned background. I’ve used a sentiment from the Sew Vintage stamp set and stamped it over the top of a die cut Hoopla Mini Inserts heart. I used a few stamped and diecut images from the Floral Sampler stamp set and matching die around my sentiment to finish it off.
