Spring Meadow stencil, matching die, and background stamp
This pretty new multi-step stencil creates a meadow full of pretty spring blooms. The matching die allows you to cut the stenciled design as well as individual blooms that can be layered over the stenciled design for added dimension. We’re also releasing this pretty floral design in an all-over background stamp.

Let’s get on to some projects showing these new products in action!
First off I have a set of three cards using the new Spring Meadow products. I used them in a few different ways on these cards.
This first card from the set uses the Spring Meadow stencil laid out as it was designed on the front of an A2 card. I stenciled the flowers in shades of pink and coral, and the buds in a bright blue. I added some shading using colored pencils and added some dots using a white pen. I love how this easy technique gives so much added depth to the design. I also added just a few of the individual diecut blooms cut with the coordinating Spring Meadow die. The sentiment is from the new New Day Sentiments set.
For this second card in the set I stenciled using the same colors, but this time I diecut the whole bouquet using the Spring Meadow die. I positioned the diecut in the lower left corner, trimmed off the excess, and added that to the top corner. The background was stamped using the new Spring Meadow Background rubber stamp. I inked it with blue inks (light blue in the center and darker blue in the corners), then spritzed it with water before stamping onto a panel of pale blue cardstock. I love the dreamy look this gives and it’s so easy to do.
This last card in the trio doesn’t use the Spring Meadow stencil at all. This time I stamped the Spring Meadow Background and then just added lots of the individual blooms cut with the Spring Meadow die. I thought it would make a very sweet baby girl card. You could do it in softer colors as well, which would be really beautiful.
I have one more bright and cheery Spring Meadow card. I can’t wait to use this set more and play around with more color combos! For this one I stenciled the stems and leaves in aqua and green, and the blooms in pinks and yellows for a cheery spring card.
I diecut my stenciled bouquet using the Spring Meadow die, and layered it over a background which was stamped using the Spring Meadow Background stamp and yellow ink. I used a sentiment from the Tear Strip Tags Spring set. The pretty scalloped border was cut using the Ribbon Maker: Large Scallops die, which has been one I’ve reached for so many times recently!
Next I have a few cards using the new Jumbo Curiosity nest and feather dies. I had such fun with these dies! This first one uses the new Jumbo Curiosity Feathers. I loved sponging these with all kinds of different ink blends…pinks, browns, yellow, and blues…all sorts of combos! After sponging the ink, I added shading with colored pencils. The thing that I think really makes them pop is the dots! So easy to do with pens. I used some felt tip pens plus a white Posca pen.
I arranged all of my feathers on an A2 card base. I used the smaller feathers from the original version of these (Curio: Spring Findings) to fill in some of the smaller areas between the large feathers. This is a great way for you to see the size difference between the original and the new Jumbo version. I adhered them to my card base with foam tape for lots of dimension. The sentiment I used is from the New Day Sentiment set.
My next card uses the new Jumbo Curiosity Nest die. The size of this one makes for great focal points. I decided to go all out and add tons of extra bits around my nest. I pulled most of these bits from my scrap bin! The dies used are Big Branches Ruscus, Big Branches Eucalyptus, and Big Branches Baby’s Breath. I also tucked in a few of the feathers I had left from the card above, and a few of the small diecut flowers from Spring Meadow.
The background was stamped with the Spring Meadow Background stamp – I inked it very softly with pale blue and pale pink inks in the corners, then misted it with water before stamping for a very soft look. The sentiment here is from an older set – Signed & Sealed. This card feels like an explosion of spring!
Next I have a couple of sweet spring tags I put together using some leftover bits. The Crimped Circle Tags die is the perfect size base for the nest! The “just for you” sentiment is from the Tagged Elegance set, then “happy spring” is from Tear Strip Tags Spring.
Last but not least, I have a few projects using the BotaniCuts Morning Glory die. Oh, I just love putting these pretty clusters together! All the pretty shades of pink, purple, and blue.
This first project is a set of three arch-shaped notecards. I started by diecuting the shaped bases using the A2 Arches die. I added just a bit of pale blue sponging to the background of each, which was done using the A2 Arches stencil.
Then I added a pretty Morning Glory cluster to each. These were sponged with Oxide inks, and shaded with colored pencils. I added the “morning by morning” sentiment to each, which was stamped with the New Day Sentiments set. These were simple to put together and make such a pretty set!
My last card for today was inspired by an embroidered morning glory piece that I remember my mom having. It was done on black fabric, with bright morning glory blooms. I recreated that effect by arranging three of the morning glory clusters on a black card base.
I trimmed the excess from around the edges and used these extra bits to fill in some of the empty spaces around the edges. I think it’s so striking on the black background! Once again I used one of the sentiments from the New Day Sentiments set.
That concludes my projects for today, but there’s much more to see from the team, so keep reading and click through the team links below!
