It’s TGIF time! I’m taking a turn for today’s TGIF post. 😊 I created my first fall card of the season! As we were busy packing and shipping your restock orders this week I could not get this card out of my head…I wanted to try combining some of our new Destination stamps and map dies with Harvest Home to create a fall card. I am so excited about how it turned out! So much fun to put together!

I started out with the Waterfront Map die – I thought that open “water” space along the one side of the die was the perfect place to put a field of little hay bales, stamped with the cute images from Harvest Home. So first I took a panel of watercolor paper and added some loose watercolor to the whole thing, in shades of green and gold to create my background. I layered the diecut map panel over the top, and stamped the hay bales in the large open area on the right side. There is a die to match those little bales, but I thought they looked more realistic just stamped directly onto the background.
Next I filled in the rest of the map using the house, barn, windmill, and fences from Harvest Home. I used the trees and river diecut from the Destination set. To add some embellishments to the corners, I stamped a couple of the small berry clusters from the Autumn Sketches set.
This was such a fun project…I’m glad I finally got that out of my head and brought to life! There’s even a tiny peek of something new on this card from next week’s release…can you pick it out? 😉
Enjoy your weekend! I hope you’ll stop by Monday for the first sneak peek of Gathered Blessings!
