Print Shop: Spring Mix Stamp + Stencil and die
We have a new addition to our popular Print Shop series! This set includes a 4×8 stamp set and a 5-piece stencil set. The pretty design features a springy garden that nearly fills an A2 card front. The stamps can be used to add lots of details to the stenciled design, and are easy to align. The individual blooms included in the die can be used to add dimension to the stenciled design, or to create your own flower clusters and accents.

Springtime stamp set + matching die
The Springtime set is a springy addition to our popular Hourglass Frame and Insert dies. Use this set to create sweet springtime scenes inside the hourglass – of course there are lots of possibilities for using this set without the Hourglass as well!

Spring Rain Sequin Mix and Flower Bits
We’re adding a couple of new embellishment mixes to our lineup! The Spring Rain Sequins are perfect for creating “raindrop” shakers with our new Springtime set. The Flower Bits are also great for adding to shakers, or for using as tiny embellishments.

I’m so excited to share lots of projects with you today using these new stamps, dies, and stencils! First up I have several Print Shop: Spring Mix cards. This set is wonderful for creating stand-up easel cards. I’ll show you how in this video. You’ll also get to see the stencils in action…
In the video I show a quick version of the Spring Mix easel card. Here is a stepped up version where I added some of the individual flower diecuts for lots of dimension. The individual flower dies are “zero border” dies, meaning they are exactly the same size and shape as the stamp/stencil version, so they are perfect for layering over the stenciled design.
I also added a sentiment banner using a sentiment from the new Springtime set, stamped onto a Christmas Time Sentiments banner die. As I often do, I also added some colored pencil shading and pen details to the flowers. I love how pretty the shaped top edge of the diecut looks when the easel is standing upright!
My next project is a set of boxed cards using the Print Shop: Spring Mix set. It’s a perfect one for creating these pretty card sets boxed up in our Stationery Box die. I selected an 5 ink colors – two for the foliage, and three for the flowers, then just mixed the flower colors from card to card to create a little variety, but still create a cohesive look across all of the cards.
I kept these very simple – just one-layer cards, and stamped the sentiments from the Spring Mix set in the center of the floral design using black ink. The box was also stenciled with the Spring Mix floral design. I topped off the flap with a couple of Spring Mix flower diecuts and a sentiment from the Handmade Labels stamp set. All of the cards tucked inside the box with some envelopes would make a perfect little gift!
As you can probably see by now, I had a lot of fun playing around with some different interactive ideas using the Print Shop: Spring Mix set! Here I created a simple pocket card by diecutting two of the floral panels and glueing them together around the bottom and side edges.
Inside, I tucked a Crimped Frame diecut (the medium rectangle from the set), and used my Sentiment Suite Birthday set to stamp a sentiment on the outside, and finish it on the diecut tucked inside the pocket. I also love how this color combo turned out! I used Victorian Velvet, Blue Ribbon, and Tattered Rose Oxide inks for the flowers. I also always love adding colored pencil shading to my images, which I did here as well as use some pens (brown and white) to add some dotted details. So easy to do and it just really makes those flowers unique and beautiful!
While that pretty floral panel is so fun to stencil and stamp, we can’t forget about the individual flowers included in the set! They are pretty all on their own as well! I really had fun sponging the diecuts with ink, then stamping the details. Here I created a whole cascade of them across my card front.
I started with a panel of gray cardstock and stamped it with Weathered Wood Oxide ink and our Fond of Foliage background stamp. Then I just filled it up with these pretty Print Shop: Spring Mix blooms and leaves, again adding some pencil shading and pen-dot details. I also scattered in a few of the tiny flowers from our new Flower Bits embellishment mix. The sentiment is also from the Print Shop: Spring Mix stamp set.
Next I have a handful of fun cards using our new Springtime set. That little bunny has just captured my heart! I spent way too much time illustrating him…I struggled with several versions before I literally went back to the drawing board and this little guy came to life in a quick 5 minute sketch. He’s simple and sweet! For this hourglass shaped card he’s holding the flower bouquet from the Springtime set.
The shaped card was created with our Hourglass Frame and Hourglass Insert dies, which were released as part of this past year’s holiday collection. For the shaped base I simply cut the Hourglass Insert from a folded piece of cardstock, positioning it so it did not cut through the top/folded edge. Then I layered the Hourglass Frame over the top, cut twice from gold shimmer cardstock and layered together for a little extra thickness.
Next I used the Springtime set and Hourglass Frame/Insert dies to create a shaker card. I used the same method to assemble this as I showed in this video from last fall when we released the Hourglass Frame dies and the Christmas Time set. I used both of our new embellishment mixes – the Spring Rain Sequins and the Flower Bits – to fill my shaker.
The sentiments from the Springtime set are designed to fit on the banner from our previously released Christmas Time Sentiments die. I love the sentiment here paired with the umbrella and the fun shaker element!
While the cute elements in the Springtime set were designed to fit inside the Hourglass dies, they can most certainly be used without them as well. Here I used all of the elements and built a little scene on a Crimped Frame diecut. For this Easter card I used the tiny eggs from a new die we’ll be showcasing tomorrow. They’re a great little size for the bunny to hold!
This was such a fun scene to put together with the flower patch from the Springtime set behind that sweet bunny. I also used some of the Spring Rain Sequins and Flower Bits to embellish it a little more. The scene panel was layered over a card base which was stamped with the Fond of Foliage background stamp.
That wraps up my projects for today using the new products coming to the shop on Thursday! I so hope you enjoyed taking a peek at them.
