Hi there my creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here on The Greetery Blog today to share a fun project with you! I’m always happy to be here with you. I was in the Christmas spirit after the last amazing Greetery release, so I made another Wintery Christmas card to share with you today. You can never get too early of a start on those Christmas cards!
My finished card is an A2 white card base that I covered with bright red cardstock. I wanted to use the new, gorgeous Fair Isle Stencils so that set is the feature of my card. I paired the stencils with the pretty Frosty Pines Dies for a ski chalet theme. I can feel that cool breeze….
I started by making my background stenciled panel. I used Distress Inks in shades of greens, reds and aqua with my soft blender brushes. It came out so nice! Next I die cut out two of the Frosty Pines Dies. I used Kraft, Green, and white paper for the trees. I assembled my trees and then splattered them with white paint ‘snow’. I also generously added Diamond Stickles onto the snowy portions of the trees.
For my background for the trees, I die cut two Crimped Circles, one from vellum, and one from white cardstock. The sentiment is from the Merry Sprigs Stamp Set, and I love that font! I stamped in black ink onto white cardstock and then framed it with the same red as my background. I put all the elements together, and then added a few red pearls for just a hint of sparkle.
That’s it for my card for today! I hope I’ve inspired you to get started on those Christmas cards! I’m wishing you a wonderful and creative day and I look forward to sharing with you again soon. In the meantime, happy crafting! XO Wanda
