If you’re in need of birthday inspiration you’ve come to the right place! The team is on a roll using all of the new goodies from our Hip Hip Hooray collection. Wanda is joining us with a sweet project using the Takes the Cake Mini die and lots of other goodies too!
Hello there dear Greetery fans and friends! Wanda here on the blog today! I feel like you can never make enough birthday cards so I’m going to share a fun and colorful birthday card today made with a mix of lots of my favorite Greetery products! My feature is that super adorable Mini Cake from the latest release! I used a bright and vivid tropical color palette and added some sparkle too!
My finished card is an A2 white card base. I used the awesome Delightful Digits Background Die in teal to make the numbers background. I layered it over the white so it really pops. Next I layered on a few banners using the Twisted Crepe Dies. I splashed on silver watercolor paint for a hint of shimmer….
I die cut a white tag using the Tag Team Duo dies for my focal layer. On the tag, I stamped a few yellow starbursts and added rhinestones. Next up, I die cut all the pieces for the cake! I used the Takes The Cake Mini dies and cut out a tropical rainbow of cardstocks to layer. The cake stand is silver cardstock.
To finish up I added a twine bow in matching teal, and made the tiny cake banner out of vellum. I stamped the sentiment in rich black ink using the Takes The Cake stamp set. I really love the font on this set! I assembled the card using foam tape to ‘pop’ up the tag and the cake.Â
I look forward to sharing with you again soon. In the meantime, keep on crafting! XO Wanda
