Springy Petal Pusher Birthday with Dana

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am with a birthday card to share with you all. This time of year I always start dreaming about sunshine and spring weather (Yes, I know we are in the middle of winter but a girl can dream, lol). So anyways, I used springtime as my inspiration and created a card with some of my favorite springtime colors.

I started my card by using the Petal Pusher stencil set to create my card panel. This is a set of five stencils that layer together to create a gorgeous floral card panel. I used dye ink and small blending brushes for my panel. I then use the Petal Pusher Blooms die set to create my coordinating florals and foliage. I die cut the pieces from white cardstock and ink blended the individual pieces with the same ink colors as I used on my card panel. 

Next, I used the Crimped Circle die to die cut a white circle. I attached the circle to the bottom right of my card panel and then built my floral cluster directly onto the circle. Lastly, I used the All Occasion Script Sentiment set for my sentiment. I love the font of these sentiments and there is such a wide range of sentiments, perfect for so many occasions! It is definitely a set you will reach for often. I cut it out using the coordinating die.

North Pole Post Gift Cards with Dana

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with some fun gift card holders I created for this holiday season. I always have a few people I give gift cards to for Christmas and the Postal products create the perfect holder. 

I started my project by using the A2 Arches die to create the base of the gift card holders. I used fun patterned paper in a variety of holiday prints.

Next, I used the Post Box Detail dies to die cut the scored flap on my panel (this creates the opening for your gift card to slide in and out of your mailbox). I then used the solid half circle and rectangle die to die cut the accent pieces for my mailbox. I die cut these pieces from coordinating patterned paper and attached them to my mailboxes.

I then used the North Pole Post set to stamp and die cut the lettering and wording to add to the mailboxes. This set includes lots of fun postal options for decorating your mailboxes and card designs. Lastly, I used the Postal Box Details die to die cut the keyhole and the Fancy Feet dies to die cut the feet for the mailboxes. I love all of the fun accents and details you can add to your mailboxes!!

Fall Fireside with Dana

Hi crafty friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with another card for Fall. The Fireside dies create such a beautiful card for the holidays, but when I saw them I knew I would be using them for fall too! 

I started my card by using the Fireside dies to create my fireplace. I used a combination of cardstock in fall colors to assemble the fireplace. I added a little ink blending to the panel in the fireplace opening and then built my fire to finish the fireplace.

Next, I used the Warm & Cozy dies to die cut the rug for my scene. I tucked the rug under the fireplace and attached everything to a card panel that I created with the Herringbone Parquet die. I then used Autumn Harvest dies to die cut my pumpkins, gourds and corn stalks. I ink blended the pieces and then attached them to my panel. Lastly, I used the Oakwood stamp and Oakwood Sentiments die set for my sentiment.

Oakwood Encouragement with Dana

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a fall card that uses some of my favorite products from the latest release. 

I started my card by using the Oakwood die and the Oakwood stamp and stencil set to create the gorgeous oak leaf cluster. I found that it is easier to do your die cutting first and then line your stencils up with the die cut image. I also did some simple masking with post it notes so I could add two colors to the leaves. 

Next, I used the Crest No 1 die to create my frame for my sentiment. I ink blended the crest with a soft pink ink and then attached it to a card panel I had created with the Pierced Plaid Pierce Plate. Once I attached my oak leaves to the panel I splattered my card with gold paint and a little water to give the card a little added detail. Lastly, I used the Strength for Today stamp set and matching die for my sentiment. This set includes such beautiful words for those sometimes difficult times. I know it is a set I will be reaching for often.

Balloon Bouquet Baby with Dana

Hello friends! It’s Dana here today and I pulled out an “older” set I have been wanting to use to make a baby card this month. I bought the Balloon Bouquet set when it was released and never used it… eek! (Please tell me I am not the only one that has done this) Anyways, now seemed like the perfect time to ink it up as I needed a baby card for a dear family friend. 

I started my card by making my card panel with the Celebration Streamers rubber cling stamp and stencil set. I used light pink ink for my streamers and a yellow/gold ink for my confetti. This set makes the perfect background for so many fun occasions.

Next, I used the Big Balloons die set to die cut my balloons and strings. Next, I used the Balloon Bouquet stamp and die set to stamp my florals and sentiment. Once I ink blended my balloons I attached my floral cluster and stamped my Welcome Baby sentiment directly onto the balloon. Lastly, I attached the balloons and strings to my panel to finish my card. I am in love with this set… I am not sure why it took me so long to finally use it!

Hi friends! I hope you all are doing well and enjoying your summer! My birthday stash of cards is getting low so I thought I would pull out one of my favorite sets to create a card to share with you all today. 

I love the Takes the Cake set. It has so many fun elements that work together to give you so many possibilities. I started my card by using the Takes the Cake Floral detail die to create the main section of the cake. I then used the Takes the Cake stamp and stencil combo set to add all the florals and foliage to my cake. I just love how it all comes together as you add each step, so pretty! Next, I used the Takes the Cake dies to create my backer for the cake, icing and candles. I mounted the floral cake onto the baker and added the icing across the bottom. I then ink blended the candles and added them across the top of my cake.

Next, I used the Takes the Cake Stand die to create my cake stand. I then created my sentiment banner with the Takes the Cake stamp set and Takes the Cake Banner die. I stamped my sentiment with VersaMark ink and heat set it with gold embossing powder. I then ink blend the banner with pink ink before attaching it to my cake. Lastly, I used the Ticker Tape Background stamp to create my card panel.

Brew-tea-ful Day with Dana

Hello friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back to share a card that uses a few of my favorite things from the latest release! The latest release was packed full of so many amazing new products, I couldn’t wait to use them again. I decided to combine a few sets to make a summer inspired card. 

I started my card by using the Pours Tea die and stencil set to make my teapot. I die cut the teapot with blue cardstock and ink blended the details with a similar blue ink for a tone on tone design. I then used the Brew-tea-ful Day Sentiments set and dies to stamp and die cut my florals and sentiment. I love the way the floral bouquet can be slipped into the top of the teapot. So cute!! 

Next, I used the BontiCuts Strawberries die set and the Sippin’ Summer stamp and die set to stamp and die cut my strawberries and lemons. These sets work great together and they definitely add to the overall “summer feel” of my card design. I then used the largest A2 Stitched Scallops die to create my card panel. I attached my images with foam adhesive to add a little extra dimension. Lastly, I attached my scallop panel to a red gingham mat before attaching my card front to an A2 card base.

Colorful Pen Pal Thanks with Dana

Hello friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a “school” themed card that uses the Pen Pal dies. When the Love Letters P.S. Collection was released, I was thinking about Love and Valentine’s Day… though when I was deciding on my card for May I realized a lot of the products could also work for teachers or be considered school related. My youngest daughter is a special ed teacher and she is always raiding my stash for thank you cards that she can use for work, so she was my inspiration for today’s card.

I started my card by using the Pen Pal dies to create my pens. I die cut the pieces in a rainbow of colors using both solid cardstock and patterned paper. I then assembled the pens with liquid glue and set them aside. Next, I used the Crimped Frame die to die cut my card panel from white cardstock. I then stamped my companion sentiment (a note to say) on the left side of the panel with the Scripted Sentiments stamp set. I attached my pens to the panel in rainbow order with foam adhesive to give them a little extra dimension. Lastly, I used the Typed Greetings dies to die cut my Thanks sentiment and attach it to the center of my card.

Welcome Little Lamb with Dana

Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am excited to be back to share a sweet baby card with you all. We have a few friends becoming grandparents this year so I know I am going to need a few cards to  help welcome the little ones!

I started my card by die cutting my lambs with the Baby Face: Lamb die set. I ink blended the legs and faces with a soft pink ink and used white flock for the wool. I then use the Baby Face Sentiments set for the faces. Next, I ink blended my card panel with a powder blue ink. I added a few splatters with the coordinating reinker and white paint and set it aside to dry. 

I then used the Spring Frame stamp and Spring Frame die set to create my frame. I attached the frame to my card panel and added yellow and pink individual tulips to the vines. Next, I used the Print Shop: Modern Botanical set to stencil, stamp and die cut a few extra flowers to accent my frame. You can never have too many flowers, right? I used the Tear Strip Tags: Baby stamp set and Tear Strip: Banner die for my sentiment. Lastly, I attached my sentiment banner and lambs to my card panel with foam adhesive. I just love the way the Spring Frame stamp creates a beautiful frame for my adorable little lambs.

TGIF – Print Shop: Modern Botanical Birthday with Dana

Hello friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a card that uses the Print Shop: Modern Botanical set from the latest release. The Print Shop sets are some of my favorite Greetery products and the Modern Botanical set did not disappoint. I love it! For the release a made a card with more muted colors, so I thought I thought for today I would use the set again and use bright spring colors. Let’s get started…

I started my card by using the Print Shop: Modern Botanical stencils to create my panel. I used dye ink and finger daubers for my blending. Once the stenciling was finished I used the Print Shop: Modern Botanical coordinating stamp set to add the detail to the florals and foliage. The stamps bring everything to life and add the perfect amount of detail.

Next, I used the Print Shop: Modern Botanical dies to die cut some of the flowers from the panel. I then attached the flower back to the panel with foam adhesive to give them some dimension. I added some white paint splatters to the panel and set it aside to dry. For the bees, I used the Honey Jar set. I think the bees are so cute and add a fun touch to the layout. Lastly, I used the All Occasion Script Sentiments stamp set and matching die for my sentiment. Although I made a birthday card I think this same design will work great for lots of other occasions.
