Capsule Party Scene

The Capsule Party Scene dies coordinates with our Capsule series and are a fun and easy way to create layered scenes! If you loved the layered scene concept of our previously released Capsule Cameos Autumn set, you’ll love these new dies with a similar concept but with a party twist! The coordinating stencil makes it easy to add color to the banners and balloons.

Capsule Collection Celebration Borders & Star Studded Borders

We have a few more additions to our Capsule series! A set of border stamps featuring stars and confetti, done in the same manner as our previously released Capsule Borders stamp sets. We also have a new set of Capsule border dies…this one with a mix of stars and pinked-edge borders. The pinked-edge dies in this set are the same size as the scalloped dies from the Capsule Basics set, giving you a less feminine option!

For the Ages

This is one for the ages…literally! Our For the Ages product suite features fun polka-dotted, generously-sized numbers. The design can be used as a background, or can be cut apart into individual numbers using the For the Ages die. which cuts out the embossed numbers, or can act as a base for the Details die (or stencil!). Using the flame included in the coordinating die, these numbers can be turned into candles, inspired by the classic cake-topper candles we all know and love! The coordinating stencil will allow you to add color to your designs, or can be used as a stand-alone background as well.

Laid Back Basics

We’ve released a few other sets in this font (our Silly Goose Sentiments and French Kiss Sentiments), and we’ve heard you loud and clear that you love this font as much as we do! We’re excited to bring you Laid Back Basics…a sentiment set in this wonderfully casual (yet somehow still a tiny bit elegant) font that covers all of your most-created-for occasions! It’s one of those sets that might need a permanent spot on your craft desk.

Now for some projects!

This first one is one of my favorites from the release! You may remember the tunnel card I created last fall when our Capsule products were very first released, using the Capsule Cameos Autumn set. I couldn’t wait to create another one, this time for a fun birthday card using the new Capsule Party Scene dies and stencils!

The construction for this card was done exactly like the autumn version, so if you’d like to create your own, you can follow along with this video and just swap out the autumn scene for these Party Scene dies. I paired them here with the smaller scallop die that’s included in our Capsule Basics set, but you could do this same thing with the new pinked-edge die in the new Capsule Star Studded Borders die.

I added a stamped star frame to the front using the new Capsule Celebration Borders stamp set and cut it with the Capsule Fixed Borders Small die. I also added a fun number candle to the scene, which was of course created with our new For the Ages die, embossing folder, and Details die. I added a pop of red to the polka dots using the For the Ages stencil. I also used the confetti stencil from the For the Ages set to add some fun confetti details to the accordion folds. The happy birthday sentiment is from our new Laid Back Basics stamp set, cut with the matching die.

Next up is another fun card using the new Capsule Party Scene dies and stencil. This time I added our adorable Silly Goose, he’s all decked out for the party with his party hat and balloons (these are also from the Silly Goose die).

For this one, I created a small Capsule-shaped card using the smaller scalloped die from the Capsule Basics to cut the outer scallops around the Capsule Party Scene dies. I used just two of the Party Scene dies – one of the banners plus the balloon/star layer. The sentiment here is once again from the new Laid Back Basics stamp set and matching die.

Next I have a handful of projects that dig a little deeper into our For the Ages product suite!

First up is a super bright and fun 5×7 card that uses the For the Ages embossing folder and matching stencil to create a fun background. Over my background I layered a panel of red, from which I cut the largest plain oval from the Capsule Basics die as well as some corner accents using one of the dies from the Pretty Picado Blooms die that was introduced yesterday. I also added a star border, cut from gold mirror cardstock using the largest star border from the new Capsule Star Studded Borders set.

For the focal point, I used the For the Ages die, embossing folder and Details die to create those cute number candles. I again used the stencil to add more color to the polka dots, and also added the flames (there are flames in both the For the Ages die as well as the Details die). My numbers are layered over a pinked-edge capsule shape that was cut using the smallest shape from the Star Studded Borders set. I used another one of the Laid Back Basics sentiments, again cut with the matching die. I love these sentiments and they are going to get used over and over!

Next is a fun and happy birthday card that you could create for anyone under the sun! I diecut all of the For the Ages numbers using the For the Ages die, then embossed them with the matching embossing folder. I also cut a bunch of the number details using the Details die and embossed those as well so they had the fun polka dots. I just used a mix of scraps in all kinds of colors, and arranged them on an A2 card base until I was happy with the placement.

Some of them I stenciled to add color to the polka dots, but some I left plain. For some reason, this card reminds me of a vintage scrap quilt! I love the bright colors and pop of red around the border, which was done using our Frosted Frames die, which is an older die, but one I still reach for over and over for those cute scallops! The sentiment here was just done by adding the “happy birthday” banner from one of the dies included in the new Market Place Celebration Street die. I also added some little bits of confetti, which were cut using the For the Ages die.

Last, but not least, a fun and happy graduation card using the new For the Ages suite and the new Capsule Star Studded Borders.

For this Capsule-shaped card, I turned our capsule shape on its side, which I don’t know if I’ve done before, but it’s just as fun! It’s perfect for adding these fun numbers, which were diecut with the For the Ages die, embossed with the matching embossing folder, and added some interior color details using the Details die. The congrats sentiment is from the new Laid Back Basics set, and the “graduate” sentiment is from the new Capsule Celebration Borders stamp set. The light blue pinked-edge base as well as the star borders were cut with the new Star Studded Borders die.

That wraps up my projects showcasing all of the new products from our new Fête & Fiesta collection! The new collection goes up in the shop tomorrow, Thursday, May 14 at 10am EDT.
