Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here! The latest release from the Greetery, The Autumn Edit, is full of gorgeous pumpkins and gourds, but the cutest little mums were speaking to me! So today’s card is brought to you by Bigger Autumn Botanicals: Mums Die. I wanted a clean and simple birthday card so I created this one…
I started with a cream linen cardstock and stamped the handwritten sentiment from the All Occasions Script Sentiments set in black ink, centering it along the bottom of the card base. For the focal point, I used an A2 Arches die cut to create the perfect backdrop for those pretty mums! I die cut the flowers using a soft mix of pale green, two shades of yellow, and a light orange, then pieced all the layers together. I popped the finished mums up on the arch for a little extra dimension. Such a simple design, but I love how it all came together!
You know I love clean and simple with lots of white space but I always love to share a few tips for adding in more detail or in this case changing up the card details:
- Use a texture plate to add in more detail in the background or use one of The Greetery’s background stamps.
- Add in extra layers with different shaped panels.
- Use some clear dew drops to add in some extra shine!
