Tear Strip Tags: Birthday stamp set, Tear Strip Banners die, and Tear Strip Tag Toppers die
**Update: Important Note Regarding the Tear Strip Tags: Birthday stamp set
Due to a manufacturing issue there will be a delay of the release of the Tear Strip Tags: Birthday stamp set that we introduced in this post. We will be working as quickly as possible to resolve the issue, however, this set will not be available on release day. Our sincere apologies for the delay, but we want to make sure we’re brining you the best product possible!
We have a few new additions to our Tear Strip line-up! First of all is a new sentiment set for birthdays. Secondly, we have a new Toppers die, which allows you to add an accent piece to the top of your Tear Strip Tags – it’s a set of three with three different decorative edges. Lastly, we’re introducing a Tear Strip Banner die which incorporates the same concept as the Tear Strip Tags in that it cuts four banners that stay intact for easy stamping in groups. The double-ended banner allows you to use your Tear Strip sentiment stamps in a more card-friendly design.

Glow, Twinkling, and Big Birthday hot foils
We are adding three new hot foil designs to our line up! Glow is a handy and versatile set of two “bursts” – great for adding a little pop and shimmer to backgrounds. Twinkling is a scattering of sparkles and spots, and Big Birthday is a generously-sized sentiment that can take center stage and make quick work of birthday cards!

Let’s see these new goodies in action!
First up are some Tear Strip Birthday Tags. The Tear Strip series has been one of my favorites, so I just love the new birthday addition as well as the cute new toppers! I had fun creating some vellum tags using colored vellum. I am guessing I may get some questions about the vellum, so I’ll just go ahead and share what I used. Unfortunately, we won’t be carrying it in the shop, but you can find the pack I used here (Amazon link).
I created several sets in sorbet colors. The toppers were cut from white cardstock. For my wrap here I used the Ribbon Maker: Large Stripes and Ribbon Maker: Star Strip dies wrapped around a kraft box, and topped it off with a Loopy Bow Builder. When creating the bow, I diecut it from pink vellum as well as gold mirror cardstock. In addition to using all of the loops, I also incorporated a few of the solid centers from the vellum diecuts. Love the frosted look!
Next up is a card I couldn’t wait to create using the new All Aglow die and stencil set. I thought this set was just perfect for a pop-up easel card. The best thing about easel cards is how easy they are! Just a few score lines and voila, a fun, interactive card. I’ll be posting a reel to our Instagram feed in the next day or two showing how I put this together.
For the candles, I diecut the circle flames from yellow vellum for a “glowing” effect. I love how they overlap just a bit for a fun effect! Behind all of those colorful candles are a couple of our new hot foils – Glow and Twinkling. You can use these independently, or they’re great paired up as well! For the sentiment, I used our new Tear Strip Tags Birthday stamp set and the new Tear Strip Banners die and placed it on the inside where the “easel” rests.
Next I have another card using All Aglow. This time I used just the stencil set for an easy, single layer card that’s perfect for mailing. Mix up the color combo to create this for guys or gals!
Once my All Aglow stenciling was finished, I pulled out the new hot foils again – this time I used Twinkling and that great jumbo Big Birthday sentiment and foiled them right over my stenciling. I also pulled out the burst images from the Make a Wish stamp set and stamped a few onto my candle flames using gold ink.
One more All Aglow card…for this one I used both the die and stencil set, but didn’t stencil the solid candles, just the patterned parts onto the All Aglow candles diecut from white cardstock.
Once again I added some foiling to the background using the Glow hot foil. The sentiment is a mix of the Make a Wish die paired with a stamped sentiment from the Make a Wish stamp set. I cut the Make a Wish from gold metallic paper and the shadow portion from white vellum. The banner that the sentiment is stamped on is from our Pre-Text Banners die.
This next one uses the Make a Wish die and Make a Wish stamp set with a little Sparkler background. For the sentiment, I diecut the new Make a Wish from several cardstock colors, snipped them apart and pieced them together for a colorful sentiment.
Before adhering the sentiment to my card base, I first stamped the Sparkler Background using light tan ink. Then I stamped several candles and their “flames” and sparkles using the images from the Make a Wish stamp set. I added a few white pen details to the sentiment and some sequins for sparkle.
One more fun candle card…I couldn’t stop! For this one I created a window in my card front, cut using a new die we’ll be showcasing more tomorrow called Window Dressing. I backed it with acetate and then added a cluster of candles done with the All Aglow die and All Aglow stencil.
Once again I used the Make a Wish die for the sentiment and added a few diecut sparkles, which were cut with the Twinkle Background die.
Before I wrap up today’s post, I have just a few more projects that are quick and easy! It seems like I’m always looking for something quick as I head out the door (is it just me?!) So here are a few ideas for those times when you just need something quick!
This first one just uses out new Sparkler Background stamp stamped onto an aqua card panel. I hot foiled the sentiment using the new Big Birthday hot foil, as well as a few of the new Glow sparkles.
I added just a few diecut stars, cut using the Twinkle Background die, and added a few sequins. Nice and easy and quick, and oh, so cute!
And last but not least, another easy idea! I once again started with the Sparkler Background and heat embossed it with gold powder onto a white cardstock base. Then I added some vellum circles, which I cut using the All Aglow die, but you could easily use a circle punch as well.
I topped it off with the Make a Wish sentiment die and some gold diecut stars, cut once again using the Twinkle Background die.
