Capsule Basics die, Capsule Collection Floral Borders stamp set & Capsule Borders 1 hot foil
A modern, updated take on the classic oval shape, meet the Capsule collection! It’s the perfect first introduction for our new collection, as several of the products from this collection are designed to work with these pretty new basics. The Capsule Basics die is the foundation…it’s also a new size for us! With the largest scalloped die measuring 5″ x 7″, we’re excited to introduce the first product in our catalog that’s specifically designed to work with this larger card size. Rest assured however, the Capsule Basics (and other products from this line) will work well with our classic A2 size as well!

Thankful & Blessed stamp + stencil & die
Designed to work with the Capsule Basics introduced above, our Thankful & Blessed set is filled with sentiments of gratitude and a lush, leafy border that’s simple to create with a mix of stamped and stenciled images. The large oval “capsule” shaped leaf frame is designed for larger 5 x 7 cards, but the sentiments and smaller elements from the set are at home on standard A2 cards as well!

Capsule Cameos: Autumn stamp set, die, & Sentiments die
Featuring two pretty pen and ink sketches, these scenes can be used independently, or layered for dimensional designs. Perfect for autumn or year-round projects (I can’t wait to show you the baby card I made with this set!). The matching die cuts the interiors from the intricate scenes, allowing for fun layering options. We also have a Sentiments die available separately for those of you that love to cut and layer your sentiments!

Let’s get to some projects! There have not been enough hours in the day recently, so unfortunately I do not have any how-to videos today, but I’ll be sharing some in the coming weeks featuring some of the projects shown here today. 🙂
First up is a pretty suite of projects using several of today’s new product introductions paired with a few previously released favorites…

I used the Capsule Basics die as the bases for these fun pull-out cards that also incorporate the previously released Bow Bookmark die to facilitate the pull-out portion.

The larger ones with the layered scenes use the Capsule Basics die paired with the new Capsule Cameos: Autumn set. the Capsule Cameos: Autumn die cuts just the interior of those pretty scenes, so you can cut them from a card base, or larger diecut like I did here with the largest oval from the Capsule Basics set. I also incorporated the new Capsule Borders 1 hot foil and the Capsule Floral Borders sets. I’ll put together a video soon showing how these go together. 🙂
The green version features a sentiment on the pull-out card, which was stamped using the Thankful & Blessed set. I put the “thankful” on the outside, cut with the coordinating die, and the remainder of the sentiment was stamped on the pull-out, which was cut using one of the smaller ovals from the Capsule Basics set.

The burgundy version holds a gift card. The pretty label that the gift card slips behind is another new product that we’ll be formally introducing tomorrow, called Oblong Octagons. The largest from the set is perfect for attaching at the sides so a gift card can be slipped through.

This smaller pull-out card again use the Capsule Basics die and the Capsule Collection Floral Borders stamp set. I used that pretty oval as the base for a layered floral bouquet, which was created with our previously released Best Bouquet Details die.

On the pull-out I stamped the remainder of the sentiment from the Thankful & Blessed set along with a few of the individual leaf/flower images from the Capsule Collection Floral Borders stamp set.

Up next are a few cards using the new Thankful & Blessed set. I love how the stamps and stencils work together to create that pretty floral/leafy border. It looks like a fabric tapestry!

The sentiments used here from from the Thankful & Blessed set, stamped and heat embossed. I added the small floral/leaf clusters around that pretty ampersand, cut with the Thankful & Blessed die. The base was cut using the Capsule Basics set – this is a 5×7 card. I used the largest non-scalloped die from the set to cut a shaped card base on which to attach the front panel.

Up next is a card with the same color palette- I stamped and stenciled two of them while I was at it, using the same colors. This is a great way to make some extra pieces to have on hand to put together a quick card when you need it. I went ahead and used it right up – I wanted to play around with using that pretty border on an A2-sized card.

That pretty floral ring is the perfect width for an A2 card, it’s just too tall, so I trimmed off the bottom arc and added a few woodgrain strips (cut with the Curio: Cover die) to finish it off. I tucked several leaf and floral clusters around the arch, which were stamped using the Thankful & Blessed set. There’s also a little hot-foiling peeking out, which was done with the Capsule Borders 1 hot foil.

Up next is my favorite project of the release. I can’t wait for you to check it out! When designing the Capsule Cameos: Autumn set, I knew I wanted to try to create a vintage-inspired tunnel card and it turned out just how I was hoping! It’s actually pretty simple to put together using some accordion folded strips on which the individual panels are adhered. A how-to video is on my to-do list!

To get all of the color, I stamped the two scenes from the Capsule Cameos: Autumn set using a very pale gray ink, then did some no-line watercoloring. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a chance to sit and play with my watercolors and I’ve forgotten how soothing and relaxing it is…just what I needed this week. 🙂

After the panels were watercolored and diecut with the Capsule Cameos die, I diecut the outer edges using the smaller scalloped die from the Capsule Basics set. I also cut a separate panel to use for the front “cover”, also adding a Capsule Collection Floral Borders frame. As an added detail to the accordian fold strips I stamped the individual leaf/flower image from the Floral Borders set on each fold. The back layer features a sentiment, which is also from the Capsule Cameos: Autumn set.

While the accordion folds allow the card to flatten and slip into an envelope, it’s probably going to be too thick to mail. Probably best hand-delivered, or perhaps a padded envelope if you do make one and decide to put it in the mail.

Up next are a few more scene cards using the new Capsule Cameos: Autumn set. I simply stamped these with tan ink onto cream cardstock , and adhered them to a shaped card base cut with the smaller scallop from the Capsule Basics set.

I added a Capsule Collection Floral Border to each, and sentiments from the Capsule Cameos: Autumn set.

Next is a sweet and simple card duo, which really highlights how fun it is to mix and match all of the elements from the new Capsule series…the Basics die, the hot foil Borders, and the Floral Borders. All of these elements, as well as the ability to mix both postive and negative cuts opens up so many design options!

This first card is a pretty 5×7 card which starts with the large scallop from the Capsule Basics die. I added some hot foiling and one of the floral borders from the stamp set. The sentiments used here are also from the Floral Borders stamp set. The leaf clusters are from the Thankful & Blessed set.

This super simple but pretty little number is an A2 card that shows how you can use the negative cuts as well. I’m loving that hot foil frame layer, followed by a Floral Borders layer, and finally the card base, stamped with a sentiment from the Floral Borders set. I also added a small bow to the top, which was done with the previously release Sweetest Corners stamp and matching die.

Lastly, I couldn’t wait to put some of these new products to use in a few non-fall projects. I went soft and pretty with these next two project and even made a sweet baby card from a set I would not have initially ever pulled out for a baby card, but I love how it turned out!
First up, I used that pretty floral border from the Thankful & Blessed set, this time stamped and stenciled in super soft pinks and yellows, and even a little bit of texture paste on one of the stencils. Also (spoiler alert!) if you take a close look at this project, I used one more product we have coming your way soon that coordinates with the Capsule line. It won’t arrive in time for the release so it’s coming later, but can you guess what it is?

To create the focal point I used the Best Bouquet stamp set, Base die, and Details die to create that pretty bouquet. I also added some Capsule Borders hot foiling to the panel under the bouquet, and finished it off with a birthday sentiment from the Capsule Cameos: Autumn set.

Now for that baby card! I used one of the scenes from the Capsule Cameos: Autumn set and stamped it in soft pink. I surrounded it with a floral border from the Capsule Collection Floral Borders set, and another layer that was hot foiled using the Capsule Borders 1 hot foil.

The sentiment was done using the Tear Strip Tags: Baby set, cut with the Tear Strip Banners die. I also added a sweet bow to the top, stamped and cut with the Sweetest Frames stamp set and matching die.

That wraps up my projects for today, but there’s so much more to see from the team! Read on for the team links and details on how you can be entered to win one of two gift cards!
