I couldn’t resist stopping in to share one more sneak peek before we share the full reveals tomorrow of our new Wild Elegance collection!

Can’t wait to show you everything in detail, but for now, here’s another little teaser of some things I didn’t show in yesterday’s peek…

TGIF – Sweet & Sunny Peek #2 + Simple Slimline Thanks with Angelica

Happy Friday! We have an extra fun Friday post this week with a sneak peek AND a pair of gorgeous cards by Angelica!

First off, one last sneak peek of our new Sweet & Sunny collection before we start the full reveals and project showcases on Monday.

Today’s peek has me all a-flutter! We have some new product combos (dies + ??? 🤔 ) featuring jumbo-sized versions of some of our popular dies. There’s also a new BotaniCuts…can you guess it? I loved creating this rainbow of goodies for your sneak peek enjoyment! The new products we’ll be showcasing will go up in the shop on Wednesday, 6/29 at 10am ET.

It appears Angelica and I were on the same rainbow wavelength! She has a pair of gorgeous cards to share with you for today’s TGIF. Here she is to tell you all about them…

I have been doing a lot of die-cutting lately… which means I have a LOT of paper scraps. I decided a few days ago that I wanted to make a couple slimline cards, utilizing those paper scraps. (I absolutely love making die-cut backgrounds!) I picked a rainbow of colors to work with, and pulled out Inside And Out Berry Branch die to die-cut the paper with.

This die gives you a variety of branches to work with. I picked the two larger branches to make a simple background with. I started with pink at the top, and worked my way down to navy blue.

I attached the branches to white card stock with glue, making sure to be really delicate when adding the glue to the delicate die cuts. Once finished, I trimmed the panels down, and attached them to Sea Salt card bases.

For the sentiments, I picked two from Sentiment Suite: Thank You stamp set. I white heat-embossed the sentiments onto black card stock, and die-cut them with the coordinating die. I used glue to attach them to the cards.

I adore how clean and simple these cards turned out. And I love how versatile this die is. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Breath of Spring Sneak Peek #2

Happy Monday morning! I hope your week is off to a bright and beautiful start! We’re gearing up for a fun week here at The Greetery. New products are coming to the shop on Thursday! Today I have one more sneak peek before we kick off two days of reveals and projects starting tomorrow, before the new goodies hit the shop on Thursday.

Our Breath of Spring collection is filled with some beautiful new dies…not one but TWO new BotaniCuts, plus a springy addition to one of our most popular series. We have some great new Easter sentiments as well.

TGIF – Sneak Peek + Sunny Sunflowers with Dawn

TGIF! Dawn is here today with some beautiful and heartfelt inspiration, but before we get to that, we have a sneak peek to share! We’re getting ready for the release of our newest collection called Breath of Spring, coming to the shop next week! Here’s a peek of a few of the goodies headed your way…

Hello, Friends! As I was pondering what to make for this week’s TGIF post for The Greetery, I had been wanting to use the watering can from Sprinkled With Kindness, because it’s just so cheery and hopeful, reminding me that Spring — and my own garden and watering cans — are soon on the way! But, I also felt compelled to pull out the BotaniCuts Sunflower dies and use them along with the blue and yellow color combo we’ve been seeing all over the internet, in support of the people of Ukraine. What’s been happening is heartbreaking and has had me praying fervently. I decided what better time than now, to create some beauty inspired by the brave Ukranian people.

Lately, I’ve really enjoyed choosing a color palette and some stamps and dies to work with, and then creating coordinating cards. It’s so fun to do and it’s an efficient way to craft, since you’ve already gotten all of those supplies out. Might as well use them in a few different ways! I started out with a yellow card stock to die cut the sunflowers from.

PRO TIP: Even if you don’t have the “right color” of card stock that you need for your project, starting with a color close to it and then blending on ink, allows you to still achieve the desired color without having to start all the way back at white card stock. What I mean by that is, in this case, my yellow wasn’t quite sunflower yellow. It was a bit different shade than I wanted. I used it anyway though, and just blended ink on top, to warm it up to just the right shade. I could have achieved the same color with white card stock and ink, but it would have taken more ink and more effort to blend on that rich of a color. Just a little time saver tip for you!

This watering can is the perfect image for using my old stand-by trick of stamping ink off first on card stock before stamping on the actual die cut. When you do that with each layer, you get that worn, weathered, almost vintage look that I love so dearly! The one exception is that top detail layer, and that one, I stamped at full strength.
