Recollective Sneak Peek #2

Happy Friday! With everyone busy working away on holiday goodies, we don’t have a TGIF project to share today, but we’ll make it up to you with another sneak peek of our Recollective Holiday Collection!

Today’s peek is so merry and FUN! We’re decking the halls, stringing the lights and popcorn garlands. We also have some stitching-inspired designs. Keeping with my inspiration for this collection, my grandma’s other favorite thing besides Christmas was cross stitching, so I wanted to incorporate some fun holiday stitching-inspired designs as well. The sampler she cross stitched as a wedding gift for me was the inspiration for a fun stencil set (which also works great with some of the products we released earlier this year!).

We’re excited to share more of our Recollective collection in the coming days! I’ll be popping in on Monday with one last sneak peek, and then we’ll start the full reveals and projects on Tuesday. The new products will be available in the shop one week from today – Friday, October 6 at 10am EDT!

Recollective Sneak Peek #1

It’s time for some sneak peeks of our new Recollective holiday collection coming to the shop next week!

Lots of new goodies to spy in todays peek…

As I mentioned the other day, many of the items in this collection were inspired by my grandma and her love of all things Christmas. She loved to shop for every member of the family, and would spend days wrapping up all of the gifts she collected throughout the year. Sometimes she would let us help, but you weren’t allowed to know what was inside the boxes! In honor of those fun memories, today’s sneak peek features some fun wrapping-themed items. There are lots of other goodies too, like new BotaniCuts dies, new sentiments that will help you express love and care during the holidays, and much more.

Harvest Fest Sneak Peek #2

Happy weekend everyone! We’re busy getting everything ready for our new Harvest Fest collection to hit the shop on Wednesday at 10am EDT. I’m popping in with one more sneak peek before we start the full reveals, projects, and hops on Monday.

Yesterday’s peek was full of fall fun, but today’s peeks have a more elegant feel. Lovely items for fall and Thanksgiving cards and crafts, as well as some things that will be year-round go-tos.

Fresh Air Thinking of You with Laurie + Handiwork Sneak Peek #2

Happy Tuesday, friends! Laurie is joining us today with some brand new inspiration using an older set from our lineup – I always love seeing fresh takes on some of our classics!

I’m also popping in with the second sneak peek of our Handiwork collection which is coming to the shop on Friday! I’m so excited about all of the fun things in this collection…I had so much fun designing them, and even more fun creating with them! What does your little eye spy in today’s peek?

Now let’s hear from Laurie about the project she’s sharing today…

Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here with another clean and simple card. I love taking the gorgeous Greetery elements and making them pop. I absolutely love the window in the Fresh Air Stamp Set. The little scene it creates is perfect for an occasion but I love how it works for a Thinking of You card.

To create this card, I used the brick layered stamps from the Fresh Air set for the background, onto a piece of white cardstock. After stamping, I die cut the panel with the Crimped Frame Die. I stamped the sentiment from Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You, along the bottom in black ink. With a layer of fun foam behind the crimped panel, I added it to a white card base.

Next, I stamped and die cut the window and popped it up on foam squares. I love adding dimension with foam tape, foam squares or even fun foam to make card fronts come to life. Last, to keep it nice and simple, I stamped and die cut the floral swag and added it to the window.

You know I love keeping it clean and simple but for those of you who do amazing things with detail, here are a few….

Tips for adding in more details:

Adding in some blue or even gray ink blending directly on the card base would be great to separate the window from the surrounding white space.
Adding a larger die cut sentiment to the card front would make for a very elegant look.
Replace the white card base with a colored cardstock for more color variation.
Make a 3 layer bifold card with added florals to create a fun interactive card with the window as your centerpiece.

Hip Hip Hooray Sneak Peek #1

Hi there! Happy Thursday! I hope you’re having a wonderful week. I’m just popping in today with a little sneak peek of our new collection that’s hitting the shop next Wednesday. It’s called Hip-Hip-Hooray and it’s filled with all sorts of celebratory goodies! Because guess what…it’s our birthday! When our newest collection hits the shop on Wednesday it also marks four years to the day that we released our very first collection. TGIF – Hug in a Mug Valentine with Wanda + Have a Heart Sneak Peek!

Happy Friday! Love is definitely in the air here at The Greetery! Wanda is here with a super fun Valentine TGIF, and I’ll be sharing a sneak peek of our Have a Heart collection which will be hitting the shop on Tuesday 1/17 at 10am ET.

First, a sneak peek! Our Have a Heart Collection has…well, a lot of heart! Each and every product incorporates a heart in one way or another. We have lots of fun new dies, plus a few sentiments sets including an addition to one of our/your recent favorites!

Now let’s hear it from Wanda and her fun TGIF project…

Hi everyone! Wanda here today with your TGIF project! Happy New Year! I hope your 2023 is off to a fun and creative start! Wishing you good things in the coming year. Lots of crafting and joy! It’s only one month until Valentine’s Day so I thought I would make some Valentine projects to share with you today! I do love switching over from holiday crafting to hearts and pink pink pink in these winter months. I used lots of my favorite Greetery supplies with a theme of love!

The Hug in a Mug suite of products was an instant favorite of mine when it was released. For today, I made two Valentine Mugs and a pretty Valentine card to go with them. I started by die cutting the mugs and the saucers from light pink cardstock. I used Distress Oxide ink and blender brushes to gently ink just the bottom of the mugs for an ombre effect. I stamped the edging details, the coffee art details and the sentiments onto the mugs before assembly. I also made a few cookies – because we must have cookies with our coffee, right?

I used the Cake Pops Stand die to make a white scalloped edge ‘doily’ for my mugs. Just a little touch of white with all that color – makes the mugs extra special. As you will remember, the Hug in a Mug dies come with the perfect little dies that make steam…. But I got the idea that I wanted whipped cream, and used the whipped cream dollop die from the Warm and Wonderful Set – I think it looks just right! I added a small paper tab to the back to insert into the opening on the top of the coffee portion. I embellished with hearts, glitter and stripey straws.

To make the Valentine note I used the Crimped Notecard Dies and made a white card. I also layered one more piece of white cardstock. I die cut the pink heart using the Shapely Hearts Dies and used the Bold Numbers in red and silver to make the number 14. I used the small flowers from the Cake Pops Dies set to make deep pink flowers to glue onto the heart. The sentiment is from the Market Basket Sentiments stamp set and I stamped it onto the Cake Pops Banner!

I feel like I’m ready for a girlie Valentine party now! Wouldn’t these be so cute as favors or place holders at a party? I used a lot of Greetery supplies in different ways than you might expect – that’s kind of my thing. I like to use my stamps and dies for more than just their original ways. How do I do this? When I get ready to make a project to share with you I get out ALL my stamps and dies from The Greetery! Seriously, ALL of them! I lay them out and then sift and sort until I have my ideas ready. I find that way I don’t forget about something amazing like those little Cake Pop flowers or those beautiful numbers!!
