Today’s sneak peek is all about dies! Don’t have a green thumb? No problem! Grow some beautiful paper gardens with the BotaniCuts Succulents and Terrarium dies. I can’t wait to show you the unique (and easy!) way that these Succulent dies layer to create something that looks fabulously real. I’ll be showing you different ways to color them too, ranging from simple sponging to more detailed watercoloring.

The Terrarium dies are going to be great go-to basics for focal points, shaped cards, and more – just wait till you see what we’ve created with these!

The Succulents have a very layered look…can you guess how many pieces are layered to form each flower? (Hint: it’s probably not as many as you think! 🙂 )

Today’s sneak peek is all about meaningful sentiments. So many of you have loved the scripture sets I’ve designed in the past, and they are some of my favorites as well.

The Comforting Commands set features a handful of hand-lettered scripture sentiments, perfect for sending words of comfort, encouragement, and more. The Comforting Commands set also includes companion sentiments for each verse that can be stamped on the inside of your cards. This set will make creating cards a bit easier when words are hard to find.

Today’s sneak peek is all about flowers! Flowers are my absolute favorite, so I couldn’t imagine my first release not having at least one great floral! The Fleur Impressions set will let you add the look of pretty painted flowers to your projects without ever picking up a brush.

The Fleur Impressions set has a great assortment of different flowers, perfect for building bouquets and focal points, but easy enough to line up on one-layer cards, too. I think you’ll love experimenting with different color combinations on these! What color combo would you stamp them in first?

I love to paint with watercolors, and one of my favorite things to paint are trees! Today’s sneak peek is called Fir & Foliage No. 1. The design was taken directly from one of my watercolored trees and transformed into layering stamps, just for you to use on your projects! This set pairs perfectly with Sneak Peek #1 too, and is great for scene-building. You’ll love using it with so many things already in your stamp collection!

There are bits and pieces in this peek that are not stamped, but something else. Can you guess what was used?

Good morning and welcome to the first ever sneak peek of our first ever product release here at The Greetery! Before I share a few details about this first peek, I wanted to say THANK YOU for showering me with your kind words on yesterday’s first post, and for sharing in my excitement! I’m so grateful for all of you!

So let’s get to it, shall we?! The first set I’ll be sharing a sneak peek of is called Hand in Hand. This set is so fun to color with your favorite medium, and covers a broad range of occasions — Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, weddings, anniversaries, and more. So many possibilities with this one. I think you’re going to love all of the different mix and match options! This one can cover lots of different seasons too, depending on how you choose to color the images.

Welcome to The Greetery!

The Greetery ~ where making and giving meet.

Welcome to the first post here on The Greetery blog! I’m Betsy Veldman, owner of The Greetery, and I’m so glad you’re here. As some of you might already know, I’ve been designing products for stamping and card making for awhile, and I am so very grateful for your support and encouragement over the years! Several months ago, after much soul searching, my husband and I made the decision that the best way to move forward was to continue to develop my product line through my own company. After a lot of hard work and preparation, we’re so excited that The Greetery is nearly ready to launch our first collection!

Our tagline here at The Greetery is “where making and giving meet”. I know many of you are drawn to this hobby for the same reasons as myself. I love being creative and making things – I believe the desire to create is inherent in each of us. There are so many different creative outlets that this desire can take (I’ve probably tried most of them!) but the one I keep coming back to is card making and paper crafting. I love how it provides a blessing for both the giver/maker and the receiver. What better way to provide meaning and purpose for our creative endeavors than to be able to bless others through them in the form of handmade cards and gifts! As my family and I work to launch and grow The Greetery, we have some exciting plans for implementing our “making and giving” motto.

I’m also excited to reveal The Greetery logo! The two “E”s form an envelope with a heart in the center, perfect for our company’s purpose. Us card makers pour our hearts into our creations – it’s like tucking your heart right in that envelope along with your card. 🙂 My husband sees the logo a little differently, though. He thinks it looks like two people meeting and shaking hands. I think that’s perfect as well, because I love how this hobby brings us together. What do you see?

I hope you’ll join us over the next few weeks as we get ready for our initial product release! Here’s what will be happening over the next few weeks:

April 9-21: Product sneak peeks every other day here on the blog
April 22-25: Four days of inspiration with projects, special guests, prizes, and full product reveals.
April 26: The store portion of our site will open at 10 am ET and our first collection will go up for sale!

For now, feel free to take a look around – there’s not a whole lot to see just yet, but I hope you’ll keep checking back over the next few weeks as this blog starts to come to life through projects and product introductions! Behind the scenes, the store is nearly ready to go – we’re just putting on the finishing touches. It’s not live yet, so right now any links to the store will bring you to our password page. Our store will go live on Friday, April 26 at 10 am ET! In the meantime, there are a few ways you can connect with us…
