Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful week! Angelica is here with a super fun TGIF project with an out of the box holiday color combo that’s sure to inspire!
Before we get to her project, just a quick notice about our shop and shipping times for next week. Our shipping and customer service will be closed from Thursday 10/20 through the weekend as we gather with friends and family to celebrate our son’s wedding. Orders placed during this time will not ship until Monday. We’ll resume normal shipping times and response to customer service inquiries on Monday 10/24. Thank you for your understanding!

Some of my favorite products from last week’s release were the Jumbo Curiosity Ornaments. I didn’t get to send as much time with them as I wanted to last week, so I made time this week especially for them. I’ve made several cards so far, and picked this one to share here on The Greetery blog. (click HERE to visit Angelica’s blog where she’s sharing a few more cards and a video!)

Believe it or not, this card was inspired while I was cleaning up my craft space. I was putting away paper scraps, and had this peacock card stock panel out. I love pairing it with lighter blue green card stock, and thought this combination would make a beautiful Twinkle background. I die-cut Peacock card stock with the Twinkle Background die, and glued it to Aqua Sky card stock. I set the panel under my MISTI so it would dry flat, and moved onto the ornaments.

I die-cut white card stock with the Jumbo Curiosity Bell, Spire, and Teardrop dies. I die-cut gold and white glitter paper with the included accessory dies. I inked the ornaments with Wild Honey and Aged Patina Distress Oxide Inks, and glued the glitter paper onto them.

I attached the Twinkle background to a cad base, and added the ornaments with foam squares. I picked a sentiment from Arched Holiday Sentiments stamp set, and stamped it with Wild Honey Oxide ink. I die-cut it with the coordinating die, and used the die to die-cut 2 more shapes so I could stack and glue all of the pieces together. I used glue to attach the sentiment, and finished the card with sweet little white bows from Christmas Pudding Die.

Yellow and turquoise has never been a Christmas color choice for me, but I sure am glad I tried it out. I absolutely love this card, and can’t wait to send it out.
