Bunny Tales Baby Card with Dana

Hello Friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a baby card that uses the Bunny Tales set along with some of the Capsule products. We have lots of friends becoming grandparents, so I have depleted my baby card stash, but this same card will be perfect for Easter or spring too! 

I started my card by using the Capsule Basic dies to create my scalloped and basic oval shape. I die cut the center oval from white cardstock and then ink blended it with a light green and soft aqua ink. I then attached the two ovals together and set them aside.

Next, I used the Capsule Fixed Border Small die to die cut the small oval frame. I stamped my floral images with the Capsule Collection Floral Borders stamp set onto the frame and then layered this onto my ink blended oval with foam adhesive. I love how all of these products coordinate and can be layered together to give you so many options.

I then used the Bunny Tales stamp and die set to stamp my bunnies, wreath and sentiment. Next, I added a few small floral die cuts (Bontanicuts Wildflower Mix die) to the floral frame and I die cut a bow (Regency Bow No 1 die) to add to the top of my oval frame. Lastly, I attached everything to a soft yellow checkered card panel to finish my card.

Vintage Birthday Card Duo with Dawn

Hello, friends!  It’s Dawn here with a pair of birthday cards to share with you. It’s recently come to my attention that I need to be beefing up my card stash. The drawer is looking a little less full than I’d like and really, I’m needing to add cards for quite a few different occasions. Since birthday cards are some of what I use the most, I thought I’d get a jump on restocking with a pair of vintage-inspired birthday greetings. Let me tell you all about them!

To start things off, I decided to use a couple of the new Capsule Valentine Gallery Prints. I love that these beautiful pre-printed images are quick and easy to cut out and layer up.

PRO TIP: Just because they’re in a set called “Capsule Valentine Gallery Prints” doesn’t mean they can only be used to make Valentines! There are many images in this set that can be used for all sorts of different occasions!

On this card, rather than stamp the border detail, I used the negative die cut from the filigree border on the first card. I just love those dies…..total two-uses-out-of-one die!

That gold glitter looks so elegant and antique up against the greens! ahhh!

PRO TIP: For the sentiments, I stamped a single sentiment from the Tear Strip Tags: Birthday set. I used a couple of those small, skinny sticky notes to mask off the sentiments from that stamp on either side of the one I wanted to use when I inked it up. Made it super easy to pull them off and stamp, then cover them up to ink it up again for the next card and then pull them off to stamp again.

I stamped the sentiments on one of the Shortbread Shapes: Rectangle Labels dies.

For one last vintage touch, I ran a piece of rustic cream card stock though the die cutting machine with the Shortbread Shapes: Scalloped Hearts 3D Embossing Folder. I LOVE that you just see a bit of the design peeking out around the focal point. It reminds me of those old white chenille bedspreads…..do you know the ones I mean? They had all that pretty, bumpy texture….just like this card stock panel. It just adds another layer of interest. It almost has a sort of quilted feel.

I so enjoyed creating these antique-inspired cards and I hope they gave you some inspiration today, as well! I need to get busy filling my card stash drawer up some more, but these are a good little jumping off point! How about you? What’s the state of your card stash? If you need to do a little beefing up as well, why not pull out some of those Valentine things and use them on some non-Valentine cards? And maybe make them “vintage” while you’re at it!

Winter Crafting Olympics with Kelly

Hello and welcome! It’s Kelly here today sharing a fun wintery project using both old and new products!
I’m so excited the Olympic Winter Games are this month and I’ve had card ideas on the brain using that
theme! My card features the darling penguin and I couldn’t resist trying another little pocket/pouch idea
like I did for the Amour Market Collection release! So, I’ve got the ski theme with the card, and the
Après Ski theme with the pocket/pouch {snuggle up with a cup of cocoa after an afternoon on the
slopes}! This pouch is a little bit roomier so you could add a few packets of hot cocoa to the inside and
even some marshmallows if they are the smaller size or the freeze-dried variety.

For the card, I couldn’t resist using the new Shortbread Shapes Scalloped Hearts Die and coordinating
embossing folder. Now, you might be thinking to yourself: why didn’t she use the snowflake edition? I
totally get why you’d wonder, BUT I really liked the scalloped opening of the one I used, so that was the
winner. However, both would work just fine! I cut it from light blue cardstock and then did the
embossing. Once that was done, I added some Uncharted Mariner distress oxide ink over the raised
portions using a sponge dauber. I set it aside and got to work on the background. I simply cut another
panel using the main die included in the Shortbread Shapes Scalloped Hearts die from white cardstock
and then added the stenciling using the Snowflakes Prints Stencil and light blue ink. I added some Uncharted Mariner ink splatter for a snowy look.

Next, I created the penguin using the darling Hey Honeycomb Penguin Die. I wanted to showcase the
card with the white honeycomb open, but you could definitely leave it closed so you can mail it and add
images from the Hey Honeycomb Holiday Stamp Set. There are some sentiments that would work perfectly for this particular card. I added Glossy Accents to the eyes, beak, and feet for a shiny look. I set this cutie aside so it could dry.

I knew I was going to be using the Cocoa Cozy stamp set for the pocket/pouch, so I decided to cut and
stamp a few of the snowflakes that are included in the set to use on the card. I also created some
snowdrifts using the Drifting Die and the skis are created using the Holiday Hatchback Toppers: Skis Die.
I think these are just the cutest thing and I can envision this cute penguin descending the slopes in the skis! Ha ha!

Once I had all of the pieces ready to go, I added them to the background using foam squares for
dimension. I also added a cute bow to the top using the Regency Bow No. 2 Die along with the
sentiment, which is from the Christmas Time Stamp Set and Die. I added some Snow flock to the entire
card front along with some glitter and sparkle gems to the snowflakes and the holly on the penguin. The
holly is cut using the Tagged Elegance Die and adds the perfect arctic charm to this cutie!

The pouch was created by adding some strategically placed score lines to the panel that was cut and
embossed using the same supplies as the card. I folded it along the score lines and then added a little
clothespin to the top to keep it closed. You could use ribbon or any other type of fastener, depending on your preferences.

As I mentioned earlier, I knew I would be using the Cocoa Cozy stamp/die set for this project, so I cut all
of the pieces I would need and then added the color using sponge daubers. I love adding the embossed
details to the mittens using the Winter Mitts Embossing Folder. I needed a landing spot for the “hugs and cocoa mugs” sentiment, so I cut the smallest Oblong Octagon Labels to stamp it on. Once that was
done, I simply added everything to the pouch using foam squares and liquid glue. I added some Candy
Crumbles to the cocoa for some chocolatey goodness!

I had so much fun working on these two projects and I’m crossing my fingers I’ll find some additional time to create a few more festive cards to celebrate the Olympic Winter Games! Thanks for joining me today!

Love & XOXO with Melissa

I love mixing in unexpected colors when it comes to creating my cards.  My card today uses lilac, purples, aqua, reds, and pinks and they take on such beautiful shades when stenciling. 

I’ve used the Flourished Phrases Love Stencils and dies and used them to create my focal point.  Each letter is stenciled in a different color with the flourishes stenciled in red for a fun pop of bold color.

I’ve used the Capsule Basics dies in the background stamped with the new Sweetest Frames Capsule Edition stamps. 

I tucked some stamped, die cut, and stenciled Bitty Blooming Hearts florals to bring in more femininity and grace.  My secondary sentiment comes from the new French Kiss stamps and dies and is the perfect finishing touch!

Poppin’ with Love with Laurie

Hello Greetery friends!  It’s Laurie Willison here! I have a super clean and simple Valentine for you today.  I went back to some of my favorite past dies….The Hearts at Home Series.  I love each of the adorable dies and the Hearts at Home coordinating stamp set.  They all work great just in time for Valentines!

To create this card, I first added a teal ink blended spot right in the middle of the white card base.  I chose 3 sentiments that went along with my cutie toaster and buttered toast.  I stamped all of them at once using my Misti.  Next, I die cut the toaster in a fun red card stock with some shiny silver accents.  I added in the toast, the heart and butter details to finish off the card.  So quick and easy!

Diamond Heart Valentine with Dana

Hello Friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a Valentine’s Day card that uses a few products from the Amour Market Collection (January release). I wanted to use the Diamond Hearts die again to create a background, so that was the inspiration for my card today. 

I started my card by using the Diamond Hearts dies to make my card panel. So easy to create and I love the variety of heart dies included in this set. There are lots of fun combinations that you can mix and match to give you lots of possibilities. 

Next, I used the Sweetest Frame Capsule Edition stamp set to stamp my red border and pink bow onto a piece of white cardstock. I then used the matching dies to die cut my bow and the center out of my panel to create my frame. I then attached the frame to the card panel with foam adhesive. 

Lastly, I used the French Kiss Sentiments set to stamp and die cut my sentiment. I stamped the sentiment in red ink and then backed the sentiment die cut with red cardstock to create a “shadow”. I then attached the sentiment to the bottom right corner with foam adhesive to finish my card. 

I think these dies create the sweetest heart background that is perfect for Valentine’s Day, although I can’t wait to use them again for a wedding or baby card! Thanks for joining me today and I hope I inspired you to create a card of your own.

Sweet & Punny Valentines with Wanda

Hi creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here today on The Greetery Blog! Happy 2026! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and that your new year is going well so far. Cheers to another year of crafting and creativity!! Once the calendar turns to January, it’s time to start making Valentines! There are so many fun ideas for Valentine’s Day, and who doesn’t love hearts!? For my project today I created two clean and simple and CUTE Valentine cards using the sweet and punny Hearts at Home dies and stamps… I made two cards using the same card layout, and traditional VD shades of red, white, silver and black. 

My finished cards are both A2 white card bases. I layered a white layer, vellum, wrapped gingham, and then the lovely Postal Frames Die… Then the focal point on each one, along with a punny sentiment. My cards feature the Hearts at Home Toaster, the Hearts at Home Clock and the Hearts at Home Sentiment stamps. (Adorable!) I started by die cutting all the pieces to make the toaster and the clock. I assembled those two elements and set them aside. Next I used the Pretext Banners Dies and stamped the fun sentiments onto them in black ink.

For some of my detailed touches I did the following: Ink blending in dark red on the toaster for a bit of shading, white gel pen accents, chunky glitter, and a few scattered clear gems! I feel like the small finishing touches are so important, especially on a clean and simple design! I used lots of foam tape to mount everything onto the cards. I love that toast popping up! And it’s always TIME for love!! Hee hee.

Tips & Tricks for Embossing Diecuts

Good morning and happy new week! I’m popping in to share a video today with some tips and tricks for embossing diecuts.

I love our embossing folder and die combos (they are some of my favorite products to date!), but there is the age-old conundrum (ok maybe not age-old, but you know what I mean!)…emboss first or diecut first? Embossing first is certainly easier, but diecutting as a second step flattens out all of the beautiful embossing. You can always refresh your embossing with a second pass after cutting, but that’s an extra step, and involves lining up the individual diecuts inside your folder. That’s not so hard with a single diecut or larger pieces, but gets a little trickier with lots of pieces, like in the case of our new Coquette Hearts embossing folder and Whole-Hearted die.

I’ve been experimenting with some tips and tricks for making it easier and have found a common kitchen product to be a game changer…Press n Seal! If you don’t already have a roll of this in your craft room, you might want to grab one next time you’re at the store. There are lots of great crafty uses for Press n Seal…I’m not sure which crafter was the original Press n Seal guru (it might have been our very own Laurie Willison?!), but it’s one of the greatest hits for sure.

I put together a video sharing some tips and tricks for using Press n Seal in a couple of different ways to make it so much easier to emboss diecuts.

Vintage Type Birthday Card with Dana

Hello Friends! It’s Dana here today and I am back with a birthday card that uses the Vintage Type stamp & cut combo set. This set creates the sweetest vintage typewriter that can be used for so many different occasions! It was fun to pull it out and create a birthday card to share with you all today.

I started my card by using the Vintage Type dies and coordinating stamp to create my typewriter. I chose bright pink, orange, and a little aqua cardstock to create my typewriter (so many fun color possibilities that can be used). I then used the Sent with Love Sentiments set to stamp my sentiment onto the piece of paper before I inserted it into the typewriter. Next, I attached my typewriter to my card panel that I stamped with the Spring Meadow background stamp. 

I then used the Graceful Stems dies to create two floral stems to add as accents to my typewriter paper. Lastly, I used the Sent with Love dies to die cut an envelope and pen for a little extra detail. I love how all of these products coordinate and can be used together!

Sunny Scripture Card with Laurie

Hello Greetery friends!  It’s Laurie Willison here! I have one of my usuals today….a clean and simple card!  So many of the amazing images, from The Greetery, lend so well to a simple card.  I love being able to find a sentiment or even an image that speaks to me and highlight it with a bright white background.

Today’s card was inspired by the set, Strength for Today. I love the verses included in this set and at the beginning of a new year, I want to send some cards that feel like a sweet little hug in the mail. 

To create today’s card, I first stamped the greenery elements from Sweetest Corners in green ink and the bigger bloom images in yellow.  I added the blooms in a circle in the center of the white card base.  I used a large blending brush to blend in a little of that yellow ink in a circular motion just to add in a little more color.  After stamping the verse from Strength for Today on the corner of the Postal Frames Die cut, I cut it out just to fit the bottom corner of the card.  I stamped and die cut a pen from the Inked Well stamp set, cut it with the coordinating die, and added it to the card front to finish off the card. 

You know I love clean and simple with lots of white space but I always love to share a few tips for adding in more detail:

  •  Use larger bloom images.  The Greetery has an amazing selection of beautiful flowers! 
  • Add a background stamp or even a few more layers of cardstock.
  • Use a texture die like the Pierced Plaid Plate, Woven Cane Background or Aida Cloth Texture plate for an embossed background. 
  • A multicolored background stencil would look amazing!
