Hi crafty friends! Lea Lawson joining you today, and I’m excited to share a festive and fun card featuring the Pinwheel Party stencil set with the Big Yay product suite!

To kick things off, I created an ink blended background using this playful stencil set. One of my favorite features is the included masking stencil for the pinwheels—it made it so easy to blend in that soft aqua sky without disrupting the design. It’s such a clever addition that adds versatility to your stenciling!

Once the background was complete, I moved on to stamping. I started by stamping the shadow layer of the Big Yay sentiment in pink ink, then stamped the secondary sentiment in crisp black. To bring in a bit of shine, I heat embossed the shooting star rays in white embossing powder to light peach cardstock.

TIP: You can use the coordinating stencils to help line up the star rays! There is an etched line on the stencils which matches the coordinating die perfectly.
Next came the diecutting! I used the coordinating dies to cut out the shooting stars and the shadowed sentiment. For the word “Yay!”, I diecut it three times—once from ivory glitter cardstock and twice from white cardstock—then stacked and glued them together for dimension before adhering them to the stamped shadow layer. I also diecut a few extra stars from the same glitter cardstock to tie everything together.

To finish the card, I popped up all the elements with foam tape for a bit of lift and interest, leaving the background glued directly to the card base. I love how the layers and sparkle make this design feel celebratory and joyful! Thanks so much for joining me today—I hope this inspires you to create something fun and festive today!
