Hello and happy Friday! A week ago today, we celebrated our daughter’s wedding. It was a crazy, hectic, (hot!), wonderful, emotional, and beautiful week filled with so many moments I’ll treasure forever. My daughter had a vision of what she wanted their day to look like, and brining that to life involved lots of help from friends and family. This week I took some time to create a big batch of thank you cards to send to all of those that helped us bring it all together!

To create this batch of cards, I started out by stamping some blooms using our Birth Month Blooms sets. I mainly used Q3 (poppies and larkspur), but also snuck in a few marigolds from Q4 and daisies from Q2. My daughter loves all things vintage, floral, and pretty-pretty, so I kept with her vibe, and also kept to her wedding colors…shades of blush, peach, orange, mauve, and plum. I stamped the florals first, then cut them out with the matching Q1, Q2, and Q4 dies.

After I had stamped a big batch of blooms, I set to work putting the cards together. To give maximum impact for minimum effort, I used just a bloom or two on each card (with the exception of the card with the four different blooms), and then layered them with various frames and mats. This appears to give the blooms more substance and fills out the rest of the card front.

I had fun diecutting the various frames and such from my selection of cardstock colors, then playing around with different ways of layering them. I also raided my scrap bin for other elements to layer in. I always keep extra diecuts and such – you never know when they might come in handy!

Some of the elements I layered were Sweetest Frames, A2 Stitched Scallops, Patchwork, Postal Frames, Crest No. 2 die and stamp set, and Deco Frames. I also pulled out some background stamps to add just a little bit of texture to some of the backgrounds – I used Windowpane Plaid and Fond of Foliage. I also added little bows to each of the flower clusters using the bows from the Sweetest Frames set. The thank you sentiment used on each is from the All Occasion Script Sentiments stamp set, cut with the coordinating die.

I LOVED putting these together, and it was a wonderful way to get creative and unwind a little after last week’s craziness (although lying on a beach in Hawaii like some certain happy couple I know would definitely be better, lol!).
Thanks so much for stopping by today and letting me share these creations with you!

What a joyful time for you! Putting these all together must have been so full of love, happiness, and thankfulness thinking of the wonderful people in your life that shared such a special time with you. This color palette is striking, soft and rosey but with pops of coral/tangerine. These are all such lovely cards. Thank you, Betsy

Just all so beautiful! Thank you for sharing..
Beautiful cards! Also thank you for the cardstock information!
Oh….such a lovely set of Thank You’s! The ideas (and sharing your life) are so heartwarming. Thank you for including your color palette of cardstocks and inks…so helpful for those, like me, who lack the talent of putting colors together. Vintage indeed! Inspiration Pink (French Collection) cardstock used in the Sweetest Frames & Bow Bookmark Gift Card Pockets would be a great color addition as well.
Even though it’s a lot of activity and work, ( sorry to hear it was hot) I know you’ll have many happy memories. I love the colors your daughter picked out and your cards are Beautiful! Thank you for sharing your designs and again, Congratulations! 🤗
(Sorry this was so late).
These are just so precious! Love the way you used a bunch of the same flowers but made so many different cards… similar but unique.🥰
