Hi friends! It’s Dana here today and I am excited to be back to share a birthday card with you all. I love the Big Yay set from the latest release and couldn’t wait to use it again to make a more “boyish” card. I am always in need of birthday cards for boys and this set is perfect!

I started my card by using the Big Yay Elements die and Big Yay stencil to create my focal image. I used orange, blue and red ink for my blending. I then use the Big Yay Word dies to die cut my Yay and the shadow (backer). There is also a stencil that can be used for this step though I chose to use the dies for a little added dimension. Next, I used the Big Yay Elements die again to die cut a blue Yay and off set it behind my stencil piece to create a shadow.

To create my card panel, I used the Delightful Digits die. I attached the Delightful Digits panel to a blue ink blended background and then added my Yay with foam adhesive. Next, I used the Big Yay stamp set and Elements dies to stamp “it’s your birthday!” I love how this set includes lots of companion sentiments that can be used for lots of different occasions. Lastly, I used the Big Yay Elements dies to die cut a few stars to add to my background.
Thanks for joining me today and I hope I inspired you to create a fun birthday card of your own!
Enjoy your day,
Dana

Wow, what a dynamic birthday card! I agree, the Big Yay set is great for masculine cards. I ordered the set because I love the versatility for feminine recipients too. Thx for sharing your fantastic work Dana.
And Happy Mother’s Day to all!
