Honeycomb Party Animal with Angelica

Hello friends! Today we are making a birthday card. We are heading to our little buddy Maverick’s birthday party this weekend, and I thought this cute Hey Honeycomb Polar Bear would be perfect for his card.

I started with the bear. I colored the bear with the following Distress Oxide inks: Vintage Photo, Antique Linen, and Saltwater Taffy. I drew in the eyes with a black pen, using the metal die as a stencil. Once I had the pieces glued on, I moved onto his belly.

I used Hey Honeycomb Basics Die to die-cut the circle, star, and half circle. I stamped the directions onto the pieces with Hey Honeycomb Sentiment stamp set. I added the star onto the full circle, adhesive side up, and attached a cream honeycomb from the Holiday Mix Honeycomb pack. I topped the honeycomb with the half circle, and finished the bear with a handmade party hat.

For the background, I started with Sparkler Background stamp. I stamped the background with yellow ink, and glued on Twisted Crepe die-cuts. I added a Big Balloon, and attached the bear to the card with thin foam squares. I picked a Birthday sentiment from Sentiment Suite Birthday stamp set that would sit nicely in the left top corner, and die-cut it with the coordinating Sentiment Suite Die.
