Hi creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here today on The Greetery Blog! Winter is winding down and Spring is just around the corner, so it’s time to craft with softer, lighter colors…like pink!! And, we know that you can never have enough birthday cards around. So today I’m sharing a lovely pink birthday card made with the awesome All Aglow Suite and Make A Wish Suite…
My finished card is a pink A2 card base, with a horizontal axis… I am loving the trend of using colored cardstock for card bases. Kind of fresh and pretty! This card is very clean and simple – just one layer – and those fun, happy candles. I used the All Aglow Stencils and matching dies to make all the candles in softer pastel shades. I trimmed the candles to fit onto the card. I used Diamond Stickles for the wicks for just a bit of glow. I used a gold ink pad to stamp the candle shimmers onto the pink background layer using the Make a Wish stamp set. It’s subtle but really pretty.
I used black ink to stamp the elegant and simple sentiment – from the Make A Wish stamp set – across the bottom of the card.

Hey! This is such a happy card. I can see making it in any color combination for the kids, but even better is how easy it is to stencil and then cut out all the candles at once! I’m picturing dark green and all the autumn shades for the hunters in the family. Toss in some of the big leaves and maybe a little camo for laughs?
