Hi friends, Dawn here! I knew even while I was creating for the January release, that I had more ideas that I wanted to implement with the Nordic Hearts die, so I dove right in and this is what I came up with!

I created an anniversary card for my hubby along with some tags I can use for his Valentine goodies, but they could also be used for kiddos or friends or whoever, depending on the sentiments you use.
So to start this entire project, my first step was the strips of colored card stock. I just cut a bunch in my chosen color scheme.
PRO TIP: You can do this same idea with literally any color scheme you choose and since it’s just diagonal stripes, it can work with sooooo many different types of cards! Kid cards? Sure! Use some fun, bright colors! Guy cards? Sure! Do the same thing but with earth tones or monochromatic colors like all shades of blues or greens. Really frilly ladies cards? Absolutely! You get the idea…. 😉

I glued the strips to a piece of card stock in the size I wanted for my card front, leaving each strip overlapping the sides. Once they were glued on, I trimmed off all the excess around all four sides of the card. For the tag, I die cut some Tag Team Duo tags and then glued the strips to one of the tags. And then again, just trimmed off the excess when I was done.

In the case of the striped heart, I glued the strips to a thin piece copy paper and then once the strips were glued down, I just die cut the heart with a Nordic Hearts die. Easy peasy!

For all of the white hearts, I die cut white card stock with all the Nordic Hearts dies, and then added die cut Graceful Stems to each one.
PRO TIP: With all of the straight lines on the card, I really wanted to balance that out with something very curved and organic feeling. The curve of the hearts AND the organic feel of the florals, achieved this.

I also added the rose gold glitter scalloped detail behind the striped panel on the card, using one of the A2 Stitched Scallops dies.
Then, for the sentiments, I added them to the tags first, layering up several Tear Strip Tags dies and details and stamped them with the coordinating Tear Strip Tags Valentine stamp set. Since I was already using them for the tags, I decided to use those same tags for the sentiment on my card! I added a brad to hold them together, and then glued them in place.

Oh, for one last detail behind the white tag with the striped heart, I added another Tag Team tag layer, and stamped that one with the Spring Meadows background stamp. I love the bit of color it adds to help the white tag POP, while still being a sort of background layer. It doesn’t compete with all the detail on the front tag.
