A few weeks ago, I unfortunately had to make a sympathy card. These are never easy to make, so I took my time, and put a lot of love into this card. I knew Myra loved roses, so I pulled out Botanicuts Roses die, and started die-cutting white card stock.
I die-cut five roses and a few leaves for a 5×7 card. I inked the die-cuts with the following Distress Oxide inks: Iced Spruce and Old paper on the leaves; Tattered Rose, Victorian Velvet, and Iced Spruce on the roses. I glued the pieces together, following the included guide, then added Clear Rock Candy glitter to the leaves, and shimmer to the roses.
For the background, I blended light gray ink over Berry Branch stencil. Since the 5×7 panel was a bit bigger than the stencil, I moved the stencil around, making sure to cover the whole panel. Once I finished stenciling, I glued the roses and leaves onto the panel, and backed the panel with light gray cardstock. I attached the panel to a card base, and moved on to the sentiment.
I picked a sentiment from Comfort And Joy stamp set. I stamped the sentiment onto white card stock with Iced Spruced Distress Oxide ink, and die-cut it with Hoopla Oval insert die. I die-cut a Hoopla Oval Frame, inked it with Victorian Velvet, and attached it to the oval. I used 2mm foam squares to attach the sentiment to the card.
I love how all of these products came together to make a beautiful card for Myra’s family. It’s so hard to lose a loved one, especially at Christmas, so I hope this card can help bring at least a little peace to their day.
That’s all that I have for today. Take care, friends!

Hi creative and crafty friends! It’s Wanda here today on The Greetery Blog! Hope you’re doing great and having fun getting ready for the holidays! I love to decorate my home for Christmas and make lots of pretty crafty things to put around… For my project today I created a cheerful and happy snowman banner using the brand new Honeycomb Snowman dies and the Snipped Snowflakes #2 dies. This project brought a smile to my face the whole time I was making it, and now it’s hanging up in our dining room! Do you enjoy making home decor items too?!
To make my banner, I started by die cutting out all the pieces to make four snowmen. I assembled the snowmen and then added those most adorable snow white honeycomb balls! I die cut out five silver glitter snowflakes to put in between the snowmen on my banner. I got a long length of twine – around six feet – and used my hot glue gun to glue the snowflakes and snowmen onto the twine.
A few of my little touches include – Copic marker shading on the die cut pieces of the snowmen, White gel pen accents, and bits of Diamond Glitter to give them a bit of shine! This would be a great group project or one to do with the kids too. The goal is to have F-U-N!
That’s it for my project for today! I hope you have a fantastic and creative day! Wishing you a wonderful December and all the magic of Christmas…. It’s my pleasure to share with you all year. Blessings to you and your families. I look forward to sharing with you again soon – in the new year!! In the meantime, happy crafting! XO Wanda
The Greetery’s Big Beautiful Bow die is one I could use again and again on every project I make. I love how it wraps every creation up like they are gifts!
I’ve used it on this Christmas card, tucking in florals and greens from the lovely Winterland Layers stamp and die sets. A sentiment from the beloved Tagged Elegance stamp set, cut with the matching die, was the perfect finishing touch.
Wishing you all a joyous Christmas!

Hi friends! It’s Dana here and I am happy to be back on the blog today to share a couple of Christmas cards that I made. I love pulling out some of my favorite “older” sets this time of year and creating a few “new” things with them. I hope I inspire you to do the same…
I started my first card by using the Peaceful Olive stamp and stencil set to create my card panel. I used a soft mint and green ink for my leaves and then added pink for my berries. I am loving this color combo this year.
Next, I added a few splatters to my panel with some green ink. Once my panel was dry I trimmed it down and attached it to a soft gray card base. Lastly, I used the Opposites Attract Holiday set for my sentiment, along with the matching dies and Script dies.
My next card uses the Mistletoe Arches stencils.
I started my card by using the Mistletoe Arches stencil set to create my card panel. I used stencils 1-3 and the same colors as above for my blending. Once my panel was finished I again used the Opposites Attract Holiday set for my sentiment, cut using the matching die. I just love how quick and easy this card was to create! Perfect for mass-producing!!
Thanks for joining me today and I hope I inspired you to pull out some sets you haven’t used in a while to create some Christmas cards of your own. I can’t wait to see what you create!
Enjoy your day,
Dana
Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here!
There is a new die that I am in love with – the Nordic Tree die from the latest Icing Collection. I had to use it to make another card. I know you might be shocked….it’s not my clean and simple usual! I found several dies that I just had to use so I got brave and mixed several sets to create today’s card. Let me share a list:
Nordic Tree Die
Bright and Bubbly Stamp Set
Christmas Time Sentiments
Ribbon Frame die
A2 Arches Die
Rosemary and Berry die
To create the card, I used a dark navy card base and front panel. I used an A2 Arch die to create the top panel. I masked off the edges of the navy card base, stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes and then did a little white paint mist and glitter mist to get that glitter background. I die cut the Nordic Tree out of vellum and gave it a brown tree trunk.
Next, I layered the arched panel with foam tape and attached the ribbon around the arched opening. You can see here that I turned the ribbon frame upside down by snipping off the bow from the ribbon frame. Adding in 2 layers of the bow included in the die set along the bottom of the card gives it a fun layered look. I love that it’s easy to use that frame with the bow on top of the frame or the bottom with just a snip of the cardstock!
I then added the tree with foam tape. To finish off the card, I added the sentiment from the Bright & Bubbly set, cut with the matching Sentiments die, and tucked in the Rosemary and Berry branches. To give it a little extra shine, I added glossy accents to the berries!
I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project! If you are inspired to create a clean and simple card, please tag me when you share over on Instagram! I love to see all your creations!

I’m so excited to be here today sharing a pair of cards Christmas cards featuring an unexpected color combination! They use bits and pieces from a few different collections, but I think they work really nicely together! It’s that time of year when I just want to have all of my Christmas products close at hand so I can mix and match to my heart’s content!
To begin this pair, I die cut a panel of white cardstock and a panel of coral cardstock using the A2 Stitched Scallops Die. I was so thrilled to discover that the large frame stamp included in the Bookish Holiday Frames stamp set fits perfectly inside the scallops! I used coral ink on the coral panel and Stampabilities Metallic Gold ink on the white panel. I set those aside and started getting all of the accents created!
The Noel card is simple and elegant and would be perfect to mass-produce for sending out this holiday season. I die cut the main foliage piece from Antique Gold and the snowflake/flowers are die cut from burgundy cardstock using the Frost Buds die. I added sequins, gems, and pearls to each of the flowers and then adhered them to the stem using foam squares for the larger pieces and liquid glue for the smaller pieces. I layered it in the middle of the frame using additional foam squares for added dimension. I stamped the Noel sentiment in black, which is from the Winter Crest Stamp Set. I used the coordinating die to cut it out and then positioned it near the bottom of the panel using mini foam squares. The entire panel is added to an A2 panel of Antique Gold cardstock and then that is glued to a top-folding A2 card base using liquid glue.
To begin the coral card, I stamped the “Greetings” portion of the sentiment, which is from the Scripted Holiday Sentiments Stamp Set, with black ink. I also stamped the “Christmas” portion on a scrap of white cardstock, stamped it in black, and then cut it out using the coordinating Scripted Holiday sentiments die. I used mini foam squares to pop it up just above the other sentiment at an angle.
I used the Nordic Birds die to create the little bird; the body is red cardstock with some burgundy ink around the edges with an Antique Gold wing. I die cut two sets of foliage using the Ornamental Tag Die from Antique Gold cardstock. I added a few sequins from the Crystal Sequins Mix, pearls, and adhesive gems to the sprigs that include a little “bud”. I glued them together and then added one of the snowflake flowers included in the Frost Buds Die using a foam square for dimension. I created two almost identical clusters for each of the corners of the coral card. I tucked the bird off to the side, gussied it up with some holly and gems and finished it off like the Noel card. I did add a few white snowflake/flowers here and there to add a bit of contrast. I plan on spritzing each one with Shimmer Spray….I generally don’t like to do this before I take photos because it shows up on the finished photo in a distracting way. It looks great in real life, though! Ha ha! Does that make any sense? I sure hope so!
Anyway, I had so much fun creating this pair of Christmas cards and I’m not sure when, if ever, I’m going
to be able to put the new Icicles Collection away! Thanks for joining me today!
“Hello there! Today’s my turn to share a post for TGIF at The Greetery and I knew it had to be this one!! Filling up our antique printer’s tray with all sorts of Christmas gift tags and toppers has to be my favorite project of the year! It’s become a bit of a tradition and I enjoy it so much! Not only is it fun to make all the tags and toppers, but it’s fun to style them in the printer’s tray and enjoy it as a bit of holiday decor. And on top of that, it’s SO much more fun to wrap gifts, when you get to shop from your own pretty assortment of organized goodies!
As you can see, I’ve still got plenty of space to fill it up even more, but it’s off to a great start, so let me tell you what all I used to make these tags and toppers!
I used lots of items from the recently released Icing Collection and started off with the Nordic Birds dies. I punched a couple of holes and added some brads so that the wings are movable! I love that this makes them a wee bit interactive. I also did a bit of ink blending on the lower part of the wings to give them some shading. But man, if you need some darling — and quick — tags, grab these dies! I’ll simply write the to/from info on the back!
I also did a set of pink and red Inside & Out tags (of course I did….would it even be Christmas without pink and red tags at our house??? 🙂 I LOVE them! Even the simple one layer tags are darling when you stencil on some color and stamp a darker color on top!
I also used the Nordic Tree dies to create this darling tree tag. I love that when you follow the instructions on the packaging, you create layers of the tree that can each swing side to side a bit…..again, makes it kind of interactive! I pulled out a previously released Mint & Berry Bits to use as ornaments on the tree. Once I attached the stars (one on front and one backing it), I hole punched right through all the layers to add twine.
I used the Frost Buds dies and some silver glitter card stock, to create the floral stems. Those will be so cute peeking out from a bow on a gift, with a tag tied on the bow. I used some of the dies from the Crystal Charms Jumbo set, to cut silver glitter card stock. These baubles will be so cute tied on to a bow and layered up with a tag or two!
For the pink & red tags backed with the larger red Ornamental Tag, I attached the smaller Inside & Out die cut on top with a brad, and underneath, I stamped a little “merry Christmas” from Hey Honeycomb Holiday. Peep those silver snowflakes from the Crystal Charms Jumbo die set!
I cut a couple more red birds from red GLITTER card stock! How fun! Also…..Here are a couple more dangly baubles.
PRO TIP: Did you know you can add ink blending to glitter card stock?! You can! I added some shading to the birds’ wings with a deeper shade of red ink.
I hope I’ve given you some inspiration today!! Have you made your own tray full of gift-wrapping tags and toppings yet? This is my third or fourth year doing it and I highly recommend it!!
Thanks so much for being here, friend!
