Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here!
I am stopping by with a fresh and bright, clean and simple card. Today I pulled out the Dried Citrus Slices and made up some lemons and limes. They are so easy to make in a realistic fashion. I used the outline die and die cut about 4 layers and attached them all together. For the base layer, I die cut it in white cardstock and then did some green and yellow ink blending. After layering all the pieces together, I filled each slice with some glossy accents to give the citrus slices a realistic look!
The rest of the card was super easy to put together. I added the slices, tucked in some little green leaves from the Curio: Autumn Findings Dies and then added the perfect sentiment in green from Squeeze the Day Sentiments. To finish off the card, you know I had to add some clear droplets!
You know I love clean and simple with lots of white space but I always love to share a few tips for adding in more detail:
- Add in a background stamp in a subtle color for some extra detail.
- Use a layer die to create more depth in the background. Good examples would be the Postal Frames Dies, A2 Arches Dies, Crimped Frame Dies.
- Add in some ink blending in the background to coordinate with the ink blending in the citrus slices.
I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project! If you are inspired to create a clean and simple card, please tag me when you share over on Instagram! I love to see all your creations!

This is so “YOU” Laurie, and I adore it. Clean and simple but very pretty! I am about to jump out of my skin anticipating The Greetery’s Christmas goodies release. Can you tell us WHEN we can expect it?
