Hi there! We have a fun treat for you today! Angelica was not able to join us during the release, but she’s here today sharing a plethora of inspiration for you using the new Spring Fling release, as well as one of her wonderful videos!
Here is a link to Angelica’s video, and then below are some close-ups and details about the cards she showcases in the video. I love watching her coloring process, I hope you enjoy it as well!
Hello friends! I missed the product reveal and release of The Greetery’s Spring Flee Collection, so I thought I would showcase a lot of the products today. I have a lot to share so let’s started!
Let’s start with the BotaniCuts Lilacs. Do I even need to say how gorgeous these lilacs are? I used Shaded Lilac and Villainous Potion Distress Oxide inks on the flowers, and Crushed Olive, Forest Moss, and Rustic Wilderness for the stems and leaves. For the background, I glued a cream Square Dance die cut to a card base, and added the flowers and stems with glue and foam adhesive. I finished the card with an All Occasion Script Sentiment.
My second card features the lilacs in a different way.
I made a Seagrass Basket out of Coastal card stock, and gently inked the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Oxide ink. I filled the basket with lilacs, a Plucked dandelion, and a Garden Tub Filler. I made a white-on-white Woven Cane background, and attached the panel to a Kraft card base. I stamped Thank You from All Occasion Script Sentiment to finish the card.
For next two cards, I did some coloring over stamped images with colored pencils.
Let’s start with Spring Snowdrops stamp and stencil set. I stamped the leaves with a light green dye ink, and stenciled the snowdrops with a light yellow dye ink. Instead of using the detail stamps on the leaves and petals, I opted for colored pencils. I’ve had a pretty stressful past month due to a broken foot and a really intrusive surgery, this coloring session was well needed. Coloring has always brought me peace, and I had a lot of fun adding different color values to these flowers. I used a variety of greens on the stems, and violet, yellows, and brown to the petals. This did take about an hour to do, so I left the rest of the panel alone, and stamped a Script Sentiment so this card can go to a friend that is in the hospital at the moment.
The second panel I colored I stamped first with Spring Frame.
I stamped the frame with The Stamp Market’s No Line ink, and again used colored pencils to add details. Here’s a HUGE tip to have while using color pencils: make sure you have a good pencil sharpener next to you. These vines are thin, and the only way I could color and add detail was with sharp tips. Pencils are my favorite medium to color with, but the prices is at least twice as long as coloring with markers, so be sure you set time aside for your pencils. you will definitely need it. This frame took me way over an hour to color, but to me, it was well worth it. Once I finished coloring, I die-cut the frame, attached it to a Herringbone Parquet background, and finished with a To Mom With Love sentiment.
For my last card, I used Print Shop: Botanical Stamp + Stencil.
I used a variety of Distress Oxide inks to stencil the background, then added the details with the coordinating stamps. I added a few details to the flower centers with colored pens, and finished the card with a To Mom With Love sentiment.
That finishes today’s blog. I hope I was able to pass on a few ideas and inspiration using these products. Thanks so much for joining me!

Angelica, Thanks so much for the extra video tutorial. I was really glad to get it. I love watching you work and listening to you talk through what you are doing. Your cards are gorgeous. The release is gorgeous. I hope whatever has been wrong with you, that you are doing a lot better and healing.
Lovely, lovely, lovely Angelica!
These are beautiful, Angelica! I’m so glad you were able to take some time to heal. Thanks for making this video. I love how much the coloring adds to these designs!
Coloring is good for the soul. You did a beautiful job. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
LOVELY WORK, Angelica! I’m glad to hear you’re feeling better! You were MISSED! I LOVE to color also, & I miss open images. Something I use for coloring is a Sketch Pad Clip Board from Dick Blick. I find glass to be too cold, as I work. But, you can also SIT & RELAX & color with it, wherever you want! It’s especially nice when you can’t move around! It’s not glass, but it is a good surface! Your cards are LOVELY & I enjoyed watching your video! Keep taking good care of yourself!
I could easily watch you color and loose track of time, you give so many good tips & it’s relaxing. My mom was a colored pencil artist and it’s a beautiful medium. As are your gorgeous cards. And thank you for the acetate tip! 😊
Thanks for some great inspiration!
Angelica, I always love to see your gorgeous cards and it’s such a treat when you have a video showing how you paint, color, and create these beauties! Thank you!
Angelica, these cards are so beautiful. I love how you filled the seagrass basket with the garden tub filler and that cute little dandelion. Also, the snowdrop card looks amazing – I love to use colored pencils. Thank you so much for sharing these beauties. I pray the Lord sustains you while your broken foot heals quickly and properly – I broke my foot last March. Sorry for the long comment!
Beautiful cards and a beautiful release!!
These are just beautiful. I love your colored pencil details, thanks for your good tips. Sorry to hear about your broken foot! Prayers for healing for you.
All the cards are beautiful. I am really attracted to the Seagrass basket .
Thank you for sharing . I am a full-time care giver to my husband and have about 2 hours on Sunday to stamp, thus I didn’t make a purchase time around.
So pretty Angelica!!! Always love your beautiful designs!!
