Hello Greetery friends! It’s Laurie Willison here! I needed a few baby cards in my stash so I grabbed the Baby Face Collection and created some cards. The first card I made was with the Baby Face: Bee Die and the Baby Face Sentiment Set. I love how quickly the Baby Face dies go together to create a clean and simple card!
Using a white card base, I added ½” washi tape around the card front and traced on a black Sharpie frame. This is such a fun and easy detail to keep it simple! After die cutting the pieces to those 2 cutie bees, I put them together and added them to the front of the card with foam squares for dimension. The vellum wings give a little extra dimension as well. Last, I stamped the sentiment in black ink to finish off the card.
You know I love clean and simple with lots of white space but I always love to share a few tips for adding in more detail:
- Before removing the masking tape, stamp or ink blend some color into the background. Those cloud stencils we made a couple of months ago would be perfect for this card!
- Add in a branch or some blooms for more detail and color.
- Use a colored cardstock for the base to add in more color.
I am so glad you stopped by today and I hope you enjoyed today’s project! If you are inspired to create a clean and simple card, please tag me when you share over on Instagram! I love to see all your creations!
