I have been having so much fun playing with the All That Glitters Collection, and wanted to share a clean and simple card I made using a few products from the collection. I really wanted to work with the BotaniCuts Pinecones Die, and decided on a 5×7 card so I had room to work around the large pinecone in the set.
I will admit, I had no idea on what I was going to do when I sat down and started die-cutting. I was immediately drawn to the pinecones when I first saw the collection, so I started there. I die-cut white card stock twice with the die, and inked the pieces using the following Distress Oxide inks: Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, and Ground Espresso. I knew the Big Branches: Pine Die would be a perfect match for the pinecones, so I die-cut a few branches also. I inked the branches with Crushed Olive and Rustic Wilderness. I splattered the pieces with white paint, then added Ranger Multi Medium Matte and Distress Rock Candy Clear Glitter for sparkle.
Now that the pieces were together, I needed to decide on what to do with them. My first thought was a slimline card. I made a few arrangements, and liked how they looked, but wasn’t fully committed. Then I remembered napkins I had seen on Pinterest a while back. They had a pretty watercolor look to them, and the branches and pinecones were in a floral arrangement, held together with a gold bow. So I decided to replicate the design, and made a red Big Beautiful Bow by die-cutting white card stock, and inking the pieces with Lumberjack Plaid and Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks. I made a simple arrangement on a 4.5×6.5 card panel, liked how it looked, and picked a sentiment from Four Squares Holiday tag stamp set to stamp under the arrangement. I glued the arrangement to the stamped panel, attached the bow with foam squares, backed the panel with black card stock, and attached it to the card base.
I am really glad I stuck with this project. There were a couple times that I didn’t see how I was going to make this work, yet looking at this card, it looks like I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Funny how that works out sometimes, right? That’s all that I have for today…. I hope I was able to share some crafty holiday inspiration with you today. Take care, friends!

It’s really beautiful, it’s sober. Greetery dies are always tasteful (a class of their own). Well done!
I, too, was drawn to the pinecones. So realistic and chubby, I knew I would use them frequently for all my outdoorsmen cards even beyond my Christmas cards.
Absolutely, lovely!
Angelica, your cards are awesome. I too was attracted to ‘The Pinecone’ in the new release. It’s gorgeous! Just love the stunningly simple & elegant look you achieved!
Just beautiful!
This is a wonderful card – simplicity at it’s best. It makes me happy looking at it!
Love this card! Would you be kind enough to share which brand of white paint you use for your card crafting? Thank you.
I used Windsor and Newton White Gouache.
Thank you!
This is a very beautiful pine cone card… simple yet very becoming…..
This card is just perfect in every way!
So realistic and beautiful! Gorgeous!
The size of the pinecone is so perfect. The Big Beautiful Bow is one of my favorites! Plus I just got my Rock Candy glitter in the mail today!! Love the layout too. Sometimes the simplest design say so much… lovely job. TFS
Angelica, your pine cone looks so realistic, as does the bow. I have some packaging already in mind for Christmas and maybe I’ll still have time to pick up the pine cone die. If not, next year! Thanks for sharing your ink colors, your card is wonderful! 😊
Lovely Christmas card, Angelica! The Pine cone is fabulous!!
