TGIF – Thinking of You Honey with Laurie

It’s TGIF – The Greetery Inspiration Friday! Laurie is here with a sweet thinking of you card, which is giving me warm, summery vibes on this bitterly cold Friday. It’s looking like spring in my craft room, though…lots of spring things going on here, with new products coming to the shop in just a few short weeks. Hi crafty friends!  It’s Laurie here, stopping in with this week’s TGIF.  I don’t know about you but I am SO ready for spring.  It is super cold here in Kansas so I definitely channeled in a little spring to today’s card.  If you follow my blog, you know I the clean and simple stamper of the group.  I love simple backgrounds with a focal point that pops!  

One of my favorite things to do is to collect stamped images and save them for future projects.  When I am feeling low on mojo, I will grab a few stamp sets and then stamp and die cut all the images.  I keep those images in an envelope in the back of the stamp set.  That way when I need to make a card, I can grab images that have already been stamped and ready to go!  This is also a great recipe for a quick and easy card!  I used several stamp sets in today’s card but had all those fun little die cuts ready to build my springy little scene.

To create this card, I stamped the honeycomb images from the Buzz-Worthy Sentiment Stamp Set in a light brown ink.  Next, I found the honey pot and wand from the Honey Jar Stamp Set. Using foam squares, I added them to the card front.  Next, I grabbed some flowers from the Container Garden Stamp Set and those gorgeous green leaves from the Lemon Blossom Stamp Set.  I finished off the card with a sentiment from Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You die cut with the Tear Strip Tag Die. It was fun to have all those details ready to go!
