Welcome to Day 2 of product reveals and projects for our 2022 holiday collection! This year’s collection is called A Song of Christmas, and each day we’re being inspired by some of the songs of the season. Today’s inspiration comes from an old familiar tune…Deck the Halls. We’re stringing the ornaments and hanging the mistletoe. I hope you’ll join us for the fun. We have a hop from the Inspiration Team (links at the bottom of this post) and some giveaways as usual!
All of the new products being introduced today are part of our new Song of Christmas collection which will go up in the shop on Friday, October 7 at 10am EDT.
Below is a quick look at all of the new products. Click on the links below each product heading for more details and information (sentiments, measurements, etc.), or click HERE to see all of the new products in the shop. (**Please Note: although you can preview the new products in the shop, they will not be available to add to cart or purchase until 10am EDT on Friday, October 7).
Jumbo Curiosity Round, Teardrop, Spire, and Bell Ornament Dies
We’ve created some curiously larger versions of some of your favorite Curio dies! These ornaments were originally found in our Curio: Attic Ornaments set, and now they’re available individually in a larger size!

To help you visualize the scale of these, here is a comparison image that shows the original Curio: Attic Ornaments beside their new “jumbo” versions.
Twinkle Background die
The new Twinkle Background die is the perfect backdrop for the pretty ornament dies as well as so many other things! It’s a great basic to have in your collection. There is no outer cutline, allowing you to use this die on card sizes beyond the standard A2, such as Slimline cards, etc.

Mistletoe Arches Stencil and Die
Often holiday card making involves making multiples, so products that make a big impact while being simple to use is a great thing during this busy time of year! Our Mistletoe Arches stencil set does just that. With just three easy steps for stenciling the pretty arched mistletoe frame, we think you’ll reach for this set over and over again. The set of four stencils includes three for the arched greenery, plus an optional arch stencil that can be added to the center of the design. The coordinating die cuts the frame, and also includes some small sprigs and berries that can be added to your designs.

Arched Holiday Sentiments
One of our recent favorite sentiment sets is now available in a holiday version! These arched sentiments work wonderfully inside the Mistletoe Arches set, and oh so much more! The main sentiments can be used on their own or paired with the coordinating arched phrases. Like the original Arched Sentiments set, this holiday version also coordinates wonderfully with our A2 Arches die.

A2 Arches Stencil
Ever since we released our A2 Arches dies a few months ago, I’ve been wanting a coordinating stencil set. I’m pleased to say that it’s here! This set of seven stencils are sized exactly the same as our A2 Arches dies, allowing you to stencil frames and mats. Of course they can be used on their own without the Arches dies as well. Each stencil also includes the “inner” portion of the arch which can be snipped away from the backing and used as a mask for maximum versatility. The etched lines on these stencils make it super easy to keep things straight and centered.

That wraps up our product introductions for today. Are you ready for some projects?
First up, a couple of cards using the new Jumbo Curiosity Ornament dies and the Twinkle Background die. I love creating these vintage ornaments…piling on the color and details…glitter, sequins, glitter and metallic cardstock, they are just fun to create!
This sliver version was created on an A2 card base. I cut the Twinkle Background from silver glitter cardstock and layered it over an aqua card base. I love how the color shows through all of the little circle and sparkle details. Then I filled up my card front with four of those pretty new ornaments! I piled on the details, and topped them off with little bows (from the Sketched Wildflower Bouquet die), and bits of frosty greenery cut with the Winter Medley die that was introduced yesterday. The sentiment is from the new Arched Holiday Sentiments set. I always love the retro vibe of aqua and red for the holidays!
This next card uses the same main elements, but this time I stacked up a rainbow of ornaments on a slimline card. As I mentioned in the product description, the Twinkle Background die does not include an outer cut line, which means you can use it on other card sizes beside just the standard A2. Here I cut it twice (end to end) from a slimline panel. Once again I stacked up all the yummy details on those ornaments, and once again added a sentiment from the Arched Holiday Sentiments set, this time the “Merry & Bright” sentiment. My white Twinkle panel was adhered to a shimmery gold card base for even more sparkle!
This next duo of cards uses a combination of several new products. I went with rose gold and soft pinks for this pretty pair.
The first of the pair uses the new Twinkle Background cut from rose gold mirror cardstock. I added the outer scalloped white frame, which was cut with our Frosted Frames die. I also added an arch to my background, which was cut with our A2 Arches die and stenciled with the new A2 Arches stencil with a bit of soft pink ink. I added some of the new Jumbo Ornaments, done in rosy pinks and golds. I also added a branch, which was stamped and cut using the Pine & Berry set that was introduced yesterday. The sentiment is from the Arched Holiday Sentiments set.
The second card in the pair is much softer. This time I used the new Mistletoe Arches stencil and matching die. I stenciled the design in soft pinks/lavender (Victorian Velvet and Tattered Rose) using a very soft hand, and also sponged a little golden brown onto one of the stencil steps (brushed corduroy). The berries were stenciled with Barn Door for a bright, orangey red. I added details to the leaves with colored pencils, and to the berries with a white pen. The sentiment is of course done with the new Arched Holiday Sentiments set. I added some of the individual leaves and berries from the Mistletoe Arches die set around my sentiment. Such a pretty card that would be pretty easy to mass-produce.
I’ve been loving playing around with some softer colors when creating with these new products. This next pair is done in soft greens and golds. Mistletoe berries are actually white/cream, so I wanted to play around with stenciling the mistletoe design with that in mind.
This first card started with a panel of white cardstock that was stamped with the new Pine & Berry Background using Vintage Linen ink. I diecut an arch from the panel and added a Mistletoe Arches frame around it. I wanted to stencil this with soft blue/greens. I don’t have an ink in my stash that’s the perfect color, so I make do by blending a few different colors. To get this look I used Robin’s Egg, Iced Spruce, and Bundled Sage. I just play with blending a little of this and a little of that, using a light hand, until the color is close to what I’m going for!
I created a mistletoe cluster to hang in the arch using the individual leaves and berries from the Mistletoe Arches die and some Winter Medley sprigs, then topped it off with a bow you’ll be seeing more of tomorrow! I also stenciled an arch inside the cut-out using the A2 Arches stencil, and added the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Arched Holiday Sentiments set.
This next one uses similar colors, but this time I layered the Twinkle Background cut from white cardstock over a shimmery gold card base. I added an Arched Holiday Sentiments phrase, which I also stenciled with the new A2 Arches stencil set to create both the outer green frame, and the inner yellow arch…so many possibilities with this stencil set! To finish it off I added a few branches from the Pine & Berry set stamped in pale greens with pink and red berries.
My final pair of projects for today include a spinner card and an easy arched tag.
For the spinner card, I cut an arch from the front of a black card base, then surrounded it with the Mistletoe Arches frame, done in classic Christmas greens and reds. I tucked a strand of twine between the frame and my card base, stringing it across the arched opening. I attached two Teardrop ornaments back-to-back, sandwiching the twine in between so that my ornament is “hanging” inside the window, and you can spin it. Just a fun and easy way to create something interactive!
The tag was super quick and easy. I just used one of the A2 Arches dies and cut on the fold so the top of the arch stayed intact. Then I layered an Arched Holiday Sentiment over the top, and added a few small leaves and berries from the Mistletoe Arches die. Attach a little twine to the top and you’re all set with a cute and easy tag!
That wraps up my projects for today…I hope you enjoyed them! If you’re ready for more, keep scrolling!
