Hi everyone! I hope you had a wonderful week and are all set to enjoy the holiday weekend! It’s fitting that as we bid summer farewell, we’re sharing the first sneak peek of our latest collection, Calico Fields. Kelly is also here today to share a gorgeous project!
First the sneak peek…
Autumn is…pumpkin spice and everything nice, baskets of apples, and cider to sip!
Is there anything in particular that piques your “curiosity” in today’s sneak peek? I can’t wait to show you everything over the coming week. I’ll be back with another sneak peek on Monday. Our new Calico Fields collection will go up in the shop on Thursday, September 8! 🙂
Now let’s turn it over to Kelly and the amazing project she’s sharing today!
Hello and welcome, friends! It’s Kelly here today with this week’s TGIF! One of my favorite places to be, other than my crafting space, is in my yard/garden! I always enjoy picking out fun color combinations for my planters and pots throughout my yard; this year I put some together just like the flowers on today’s card! My morning watering session was the color inspiration for this design using the recently released Floral Arches Stamp + Stencil set!
You may have noticed that I was absent from the last release, but I was inspired by a card that Betsy made for the release and couldn’t wait to try it in this color combo! To begin, I used the Floral Arches Stencil set to create the floral portion using Stampin’ Up ink. I get a lot of questions about the ink colors that I use, so I thought I’d save some time and let you know now! Ha ha! The greens are: Celery, Artichoke, and Garden Green; the flowers are Eggplant, Saffron, Mustard, Coral, and Rust.
I used the coordinating Floral Arches die set to die cut the stenciled portion and the sentiment arch, and the extra flower pieces used to frame the “thank you” sentiment. I used the A2 Arches Die to create a mask so that I could add some soft ink inside the arch. I used the Floral Arches Stencil set to add the ink inside the larger arch.
I was in need of a thank you card so I chose to stamp the sentiments using the Arched Sentiments stamp set. The arched portion is stamped in Rust and then the “thank you” portion is stamped in black and die cut using the Arched Sentiments die set. I’m so in love with this suite of products and can’t wait to make a card set using each of the included sentiments!
The background was created using the new Elegant Arches stamp using Eggplant ink on Royal Velvet cardstock. I layered the stenciled portion using foam squares and then added even more dimension by popping up the arch as well. I simply added ink to the tiny leaves and flowers using blender brushes and the same ink I used to stamp everything. I used my stylus and foam pad to curl the petals to make them look more dimensional. I used this same technique on a strawberry card I made back in May and loved the results! I added them here and there using liquid glue. I added glitter to both the die cut flowers and the stenciled portion for some sparkle and shine! The entire card panel is layered onto an A2 card base using liquid glue!
This particular color combo gives a nod to the changing season and I really like how it turned out! Thanks for joining me today!

Lovely card, Kelly! And everything in the sneak peek looks amazing! Can’t we get one release I don’t like? Haha! 🙂
Woooowwwww! Looking forward to seeing more!
Oh my!!! I love the little yellow flowers, the WHOLE apple bushel that’s going on!, the cappuccino and sentiment… lots to look at, better than an Easter egg hunt! Can’t wait for Monday’s sneak peek.
Gorgeous project Kelly! Your colors are stunning and every detail has added something to your creation. Absolutely love the depth of details.
Beautiful card! I always think the paper is different than what I buy. I see you said Royal Velvet paper & I haven’t heard of that. Can you tell me where you buy it? I looked on Greetery site & couldn’t find. Found some that were velvet paper, but think paper makes it pop! Please advise! Amazing workmanship! The Greetery is far superior with beautiful quality! Thanks.
Royal Velvet paper is from Papertrey Ink!
Gorgeous card! Love everything about the sneak peek. Especially the apple filled bushel.
It’s beautiful, love the colors and the sparkle
Stunning card by Kelly, which is really no surprise! Calico Fields looks like another fabulous release, Betsy. I spy one’s favorite Fall beverage in an adorable mug, cinnamon sticks, leaves, apples, realistic-looking bushel basket, fun sentiments and a whole lot more.
The TGIF has those great rich autumnal colors! And now I’m spying a big chestnut leaf, tiny cinnamon sticks, and more beverages 🙂
Oh no! I’m still waiting for a restock of the last release! I love what’s coming too!!

The peek looks so good … I am an autumn girl right down to my heart! Born in October and my color favorites have always been autumnal shades. I love this card and the arches are so beautiful. I missed that release also as we were under construction. I need to go back and get up to speed. TFS
Kelly, your card is beautiful! It’s amazing how much your colors really changed the look and feel to a more elegant card. And I love your tone on tone background, it adds that extra touch. Thanks so much for sharing your creation! 😎
