Now that you’ve gotten a preview of today’s new product introductions, let’s get to some projects so you can see them in action.
My first pair of projects using the new Honey Bees and Honey Jars. I wanted to created something a little more elegant, so I started with a dark navy cardstock, and added all of the elements in warm honey, golds, and soft pink tones.
My first card is on a slimline base and uses our Crimped Slimline die for the background and uses the Honeycomb Corners die to cut some subtle details in the upper corners. I backed it with the same color cardstock – this allows for some texture, but doesn’t distract from my focal point. I built my focal point using the new Honey Jar set and the two smaller bees from the new Honey Bees die set. I added lots of wildflower looking elements around my jar, with a mix of dies…BotaniCuts Bluebells, Inside & Out Berry Branch die, and tiny flowers from BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix.
The honey dipper is also from the new Honey Jar set. I stamped it and added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Orange Marmalade…it makes the perfect honey! (We tried to stock this for you in the shop, but unfortunately we were not able to get our hands on any.) I also scattered in a few tiny honeycombs from the new Buzzy Bits mix. The sentiment is from the new Buzz-Worthy Sentiments set, and I heat embossed them with gold.
The companion card is a standard A2 card and uses the largest bee from the new Honey Bees die set for a focal point. I put that pretty bee inside a pair of diecut Halfsies Ovals. Inside the oval I hot foiled a branch from the Fall Foliage set using gold foil, and layered the largest Honey Bee over the top.
The wildflowers around the bee were done using the same dies mentioned above, and again the sentiments here are from the new Buzz-Worthy Sentiments set, heat embossed with gold.
My next card again uses the new Honey Bees die. This time I used the two larger bees on an A2 card. For the background, I started with some rustic white cardstock and stamped the sketchy floral image from the Sketchbook Roses set in a gold-tone ink. I diecut the Honeycomb Corners die from a scrap of cardstock and used to to create some hexagon outlines using a black pen. I then diecut a few of these with the single hexagon die included in the set, and also added some shimmery gold watercolor to a few of them, just for a fun and interesting mix.
Layered under the bees are some greenery sprigs that were cut using our Curio: Summer die set. The sentiment is from the new Buzz-Worthy Sentiments set. I adhered my finished Crimped Frame onto a kraft cardstock base and added some gold splatters to finish it off.
Next I used the Honey Bees to make a sweet baby card. I watercolored a panel of watercolor paper and diecut the Honeycomb Corners from all four corners of my panel once it was dry. I also diecut the large bee from watercolor paper and watercolored it as well. I added two layers of wings – one cut from watercolor paper and one cut from vellum for a soft effect.
I wanted to create a floral design around my bee, so I pulled out the tiny flower sprigs from our AlphaBuds Bold Floral Details set. I also used some of the tiny flower diecut from our BotaniCuts Strawberries set. Once again, the sentiment I used is from the Buzz-Worthy set.
My next couple of cards use the new Honey Jar. I love all of the different occasion possibilities with this set. For a get well card, I paired it with our BotaniCuts Lavender and our Lemon Blossom set. It’s the perfect combo for sending some well-wishes!
For this card, I started with a watercolor panel cut with our Crimped Frame die and added a bit of loose blue watercolor to make a backdrop for my cluster of elements. I created a surface for my honey jar by adding a “wood” strip cut using our Curio: Cover die. I also added a Cozy Cup Coaster die. The honey dipper on this card was done with the Honey Jar dies – you can choose to stamp the honey dipper, or assemble it with the diecuts, which is what I did here. I again added some Nuvo Drops for the honey. This time I used the optional fabric topper on my jar, along with the twine bow, all from the Honey Jar set.
I thought the honey jar would also make a cute container for some pretty blooms! To create a bouquet in the jar, I started with some greenery sprigs cut using our Boxwood Heart Details die. The sprigs are a great size and have lots of branches in different directions, perfect for building the base of my bouquet. The larger bright-colored flowers were done with a new BotaniCuts set you’ll be seeing more of tomorrow! The small white flowers were cut with the BotaniCuts Strawberries die.
I added my bouquet to a black cardbase which was stamped with one of the script sentiments from our Pretty Postmarks set, just to add a little more interest to the background. The sentiment is done with the new Buzz-Worthy Sentiments set. I added some small stamped bees, which are from the Honey Jar set.
My next three cards use our new Honeysuckle Stems set. I love these big and bold flowers…so fun to stamp in the summeriest colors! For this first one, I had some stamped bees leftover and thought they were perfect with the honeysuckle as well. I stuck to a monochromatic color scheme of yellows and greens for a fresh, summery look.
I started this card with a white card base and positioned a whole bunch of honeysuckle stems around the outer edge of the card front so that they pretty much filled my card. I filled in between the flowers with tiny white diecut flower clusters cut with our BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix die, and lots of cute little stamped bees from the Honey Jar set. The sentiment I used here is a combination of the large script “happy” from our All Kinds of Happy stamp set, and the “bee” from the new Buzz-Worthy set. Such a cheery card with all the yellow and those cute bees!
Next I took a whole bouquet of the Honeysuckle Stems and gathered them up with our It’s a Wrap Posy Pocket die. This bouquet just screams summer to me! I stamped the honeysuckle in all kinds of colors…reds, pinks, orange, and fuchsia. This is a great set to experiment with blending different ink colors onto your images while stamping. I like to use sponge daubers to ink up the stamps (I have a video showing this technique here).
For the background, I started with a panel of white cardstock and stamped it using our Seed Catalog Background and white ink. It’s the perfect backdrop for this bright bouquet — just enough to make it interesting, but not compete with the pretty blooms. The sentiment is from our Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You set stamped onto a tiny tag from our Sentiment Suite Basics die. I also added a few tiny bees from our new Buzzy Bits mix.
I spent some time just stamping away these pretty Honeysuckle Stems, so I had a whole pile of them to work with! I used more of them on this card. I created a big, beautiful honeysuckle bouquet onto a panel that was cut with our new Honeycomb Corners die. I stuck to white on white for the background so these pretty blooms could really shine.
Over top of my bouquet I layered a sentiment from the Buzz-Worthy set, and also diecut bees from the new Honey Bees die set. The sentiment makes for a perfect thank you card.
I hope you enjoyed my projects today…I loved creating with these new goodies! There’s just something about summery stamps and all the bright colors that makes me want to just keep creating!

Bees are not only sweet, they help keep us alive by pollinating the vegetable and flowers. I can’t think of a better stamp set than this one to encompass ‘kindness’. I also don’t every remember seeing a tiny flower sprig wreath and sure love it. I want to create more with that idea – simple, meaningful, beautiful. Thanks for a huge inspiration!
