Are you ready to see these new products in action? I loved creating with these products! Up first is a Curio: Confections card. I pulled out my Curio: Divider & Details II die and filled it up with these scrumptious Confections. I also tucked in a few chocolate-covered strawberries using the new BotaniCuts Strawberries and matching Dippers die.
So fun to embellish all of these little goodies using Nuvo Drops, puffy paint, and our Candy Crumbles, Strawberry, and Heart Bits. Each of the candy shapes has a coordinating “wrapper” die (except for the two smallest candies in the set) The “wrappers” are the same shape but larger and with a pinked edge, so as to look like the candies are nested inside paper wrappers. I found it worked great to cut them from a light-weight vellum or even tissue paper, and then just bend the edges slightly around the candy for a little dimension. I topped off my box of candy with a Frosted Frames border and a sentiment diecut using our new All Kinds of Happy die and matching Shadow die. I completed the sentiment using a stamp from the Sentiment Suite: Love stamps set.
Up next I had the idea to make some sweet little square notecards using the Curio: Confections along with our Deco Notecard die. I wanted to make these look like fancy bakery boxes filled with treats. They were SO fun to make!
To do this, I diecut the Deco Notecard to use as my base, then used the other dies from the set to create the “box top”. I diecut the decorative square from the Deco Notecard set, then used the smallest die from the set to cut a “window” in the center. I backed the window with a piece of acetate. I adhered four treats to the center of each notecard base, then adhered my window panel over the top with some thick foam dots.
Before adhering it I embellished it just a bit with some strips of paper across the corners and a tiny bow cut with the Speed Tagging Details die to really make them look like little boxes. The tiny tags were cut with the Sentiment Suite: Basics die and stamped with sentiments from the SS: Love and SS: Birthday stamp sets.
Next up I have several cards using the new BotaniCuts Strawberries and sentiments from the new All Kinds of Happy. I love these strawberries so much! This first card uses the strawberry cluster. This set comes with a guide showing how all the bits and pieces come together to build this cluster. There are also individual tops for the strawberries so you can use the strawberries individually as well, which I’ll show in a bit.
I’m not sure there’s anything more fun than coloring up some luscious berries! I used Oxide inks to sponge color onto my diecuts. For the berries I used Festive Berries with Aged Mahogany, and Crushed Olive is the perfect color for adding that little unripened spot. The leaves were done with Peeled Paint and Pine Needles, then shaded with colored pencils. The background was cut using the Frosted Frames die and the sentiment is a combination of stamps and dies from our All Kinds of Happy stamp set, die, and Shadow die. I love the little flowers in the BotaniCuts Strawberries set – they’re the sweetest finishing touch.
For this one, I used the berries with their individual tops and filled up the largest basket from the Market Baskets die set. So excited about how these work perfectly together!
I created a wood surface for my basket by pulling out my Shiplap Builder die. I added just the leaf portion of the strawberry cluster to the upper left corner and added lots of little white blossoms, also from the BotaniCuts Strawberries set. The sentiment is our new Piped Sentiments: Sweet die with the rest of the sentiment stamped using the new Sweet Tooth set.
For this next one I also incorporated the Strawberry Dippers die to make some of my berries even sweeter. I added even more dimension with some puffy paint and Nuvo Chocolate drops.
The sentiment here is a combo of a few new things…the All Kinds of Happy die and Shadow die, paired with the Piped Sentiments: Sweet die and finished with a stamp from the Sweet Tooth set.
This next card is a type I’m going to need a lot of in the coming months…it is weddings galore in our family this coming year! I decided it would be fun to create a different look by omitting the strawberries and using only the leaf cluster and the small flowers from the BotaniCuts Strawberries set. I love how it turned out!
Instead of attaching the strawberries to the stems, I used clusters of flowers instead. I went for more muted shades of green for the leaves, and soft pinks and white for the tiny flowers. The sentiment was done with the All Kinds of Happy die, Shadow die, and finished with the All Kinds of Happy stamp set for the rest of the sentiment.
That wraps up my projects for today using the new products coming to the shop on Friday! I so hope you enjoyed taking a peek at them.
