TGIF! I hope you all had a great week! I have a couple of quick projects to share with you, but before I get to that, a little heads up on some new products coming to the shop!
I hope you’ll join us next week as we have a week filled with sneak peeks, reveals, and projects for our first product release of 2022! Our newest collection is called Confections…it’s filled with sweet paper treats, and it’s coming to the shop on Friday, January 21!
Before I go, I thought I’d share a couple of projects with you! If you follow along with us on Instagram, you may have seen my post earlier this week about all of the exciting things going on here recently. Along with celebrating the holidays and having our year-end sale, we moved…both the business and our family, so things have been a little chaotic!
There hasn’t been a lot of creating time here with everything else going on, but this week I finally got a chance to start to settle in my new space and actually get back to creating. Sometimes that’s easier said than done after a bit of time away…you can probably relate! In this case it took me some unpacking just to find the essentials, and everything felt a little out of sorts. When I feel this way, my best bet is always to turn to my scrap bucket. I always keep extra stamped and diecut images left over from other projects. It’s a great place to start if you’re feeling stuck and just need to get the creativity going (or can’t find your supplies…lol!).
One of the things I like to do is pull out things from the same color family. For this card, I pulled out an assortment of blue things…a Blooming Branch with blue blossoms, a scrap of Mimosa Musings, and a blue berry sprig done with Winterberry Bouquet. I also found this pretty background in my scraps, which was done by stamping the Fond of Foliage background stamp onto a panel of textured watercolor paper.
I arranged all of my blue items inside a Crimped Frames diecut, and topped it off with a hot foiled Opposites Attract sentiment. I love finding all of these treasures, and putting things together that I might not have envisioned using together if it weren’t for my scrap bin.
For my next card, I pulled out an assortment of pink and green things…a Layered Leaves branch, a Pampas Grass stem, and a Winterberry Bouquet berry sprig.
I once again reached for a hot foiled Opposites Attract sentiment, and also pulled out this hot foiled Deco Triangles background. Just a quick and easy card, courtesy of my scrap bin.
Thanks so much for joining me today! What might you find in your scrap bin to inspire you?

This is exciting. I’ve been holding off on Valentine/Love theme products from other companies in hopes that you might have something “sweet” in store. 🙂 Congrats on the move, and good luck with all of the unpacking and settling in to your new spaces.
Happy new everything! I’m so glad to hear you’re happy in your new location—isn’t that essential? I have moved three times in the last 13 years with my craft room fully engaged, and the last time was during the Covid outbreak in September 20 20 and I was deathly ill. Just this week when the housekeepers left I looked at my little craft area in the kitchen nook and felt “home“. All the best for your settling in as well.
Celia, I’m So glad to hear you are better from your illness. I can relate because last year was particularly hard on our family and friends. I wish you good health this year and you’re able to enjoy your nook. 😊
Looking forward to your release for CONFECTIONS. Thanks for the preview!

Congrats on all your moves! Moving is sooo stressful so I’m sure you are glad it’s over with and now you can focus on enjoying your new spaces and making them your own 🥰
Always exciting looking forward to The Greetery’s newest! A ‘sweet treat’ is just what we all need. A happy new home and new surroundings to you!
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing your art with the world and good luck getting settled into your new spaces!
CONGRATULATIONS ON GROWING BIGGER, Betsy! SO EXCITING! I’ve been looking forward to this new release of the new year! 😉 I kept telling my hubby, it was coming soon! LOL AND, I LOVE your creations from the scrap bin! (I have to remember this trick! ) HAVE A WONDERFUL BLESSED DAY!!! 😉
Looking forward to your new release!
I’ve been holding off waiting for your next release also (as stated by one of your other fans), hoping for valentines or sweet stuff coming from the greetery. Can’t wait. I’ll inform my husband early so he can adjust!
Both are lovely, lovely cards! What a good idea to look for pieces in color families. When I haven’t created for a while I turn to the beautiful samples in the Lookbook, the Blog, and the examples next to the stamp sets. I also watch the YouTube video’s. I’ve been a stamper for a long, but I learn something new each time. And today’s idea is one I will remember.
All said, I love the Greetery products! I was amazed at what you’ve been doing during the holiday season, especially since my shipments have arrived just as quickly as before – thank you Betsy!
Congrats Betsy! I have been in my home for 38 years and shudder at the thought of moving! Looking forward to next week and I have to say, your scrap bin is pretty impressive! Lovely creations. Have a great weekend😀
Congratulations on your move. I always look forward to see the new releases. Can I still use the hot plates if I don’t have the machine?
So pretty, I hope you get settled in soon.
Dearest Betsy, I was hoping this past holiday season you were able to rest and recuperate from a very busy year. But I’m thrilled to hear your business is growing! Congratulations on your new ‘digs’ as we used to say and a warm Welcome to your new neighborhood! Every time I work with my (your) new products, I make extras. So I have a nice size box filled with die cuts along with stenciled and stamped images. Last year was hard on our family and friends and I struggled to be creative. After Christmas, I turned my attention to my home and it’s been helpful. Your post today was just what the dr. ordered, I love your cards👍❗️You’ve inspired me to bring out my box of goodness, match up some colors and make a few cards. Many thanks! Can’t wait to see your new collection next week! 😊💌
I CAN NOT HARDLY WAIT for the 21st! 😍
So pretty!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! And excited for the new Confections release!!! Thanks Betsy!
Happy new year! Congratulations on your successful moves and navigating so much during the holidays. I’m sure it was overwhelming at times but it sounds like 2022 has some fresh, new adventures awaiting you! Also — I am more than excited for the upcoming release. Echoing a comment below – I have been holding off on making any large purchases from other companies in the hopes of a release from The Greetery — and my patience has been rewarded 🙂
Perfect since the 21st is my parent’s anniversary! 🙂
