Happy Friday! I’m popping in with a project and a couple of videos for today’s TGIF post. Before we get to those, just a little heads up that we have some new products coming to the shop soon! A week from today I’ll be sharing a sneak peek of our new Man Made collection…it’s a fun collection of masculine-themed products that will be available in the shop on Tuesday, May 25th.
We’ll be sharing lots of projects and revealing the new products on Monday, May 24th before they go up in the shop on Tuesday. I hope you’ll join us!
Now on to some videos and a new project! We were so busy getting everything ready for our Anniversary sale and release, that there just weren’t enough hours in the day to squeeze in my usual release videos. I had a chance to put a couple of them together for you for today’s post, though!
My first video is perfect for today, since I’m heading to our local tulip festival parade this afternoon (if the rain holds off!). It showcases our BotaniCuts Tulips die that was released a few weeks ago as part of our Spring Market collection.

In this video I’ll show you how to put these blooms together, and also one of my favorite coloring methods. I’ll be creating some bright red and yellow variegated tulips, but you could use the same method for any color combination, or even just a monochromatic color scheme. One of the most beautiful things about tulips are all of the colors they come in!
I used the technique in the video to color two sets of the BotaniCuts Tulips to fill up my card front.
To create my background, I sponged Tumbled Glass and Blueprint Sketch Oxide inks onto some textured watercolor paper. I spritzed it with water to add texture, and also added some darker blue splatters using watercolor paint.
I arranged my tulip blooms, leaves, and stems to look like a whole garden of tulips is coming up from the bottom edge of my card. I finished it off with a simple sentiment stamped in black ink across the top. This “caring thoughts” sentiment is from our Holding Hands set.
Lastly today, I have one more video for you! There have been some requests for an assembly video for the Market Baskets die. I actually recorded this before the release, but did not get a chance to edit it. I don’t have a new project for you today using these dies, but hopefully you’ll enjoy this how-to video. 🙂
Thanks so much for joining me today! Have a great weekend!

Thank you for the excellent videos Betsy. I’ve been out of town, finally have time to play so the timing was perfect for me!
Gorgeous card!!
I love Fridays at The Greetery! Your tulip garden card is Stunning and your videos are always super helpful. Thank you for your guidance and I hope your weather holds out for your Tulip Festival! See you on the 24th for your Man Made collection! Yeah! 😊🌷
The two front tulip leaves have stolen the show as they hold hands so sweetly! Seems to look even more realistic when the leaves are more center stage as they are in real life. Love this flower card!!!!!!
Thank you, Betsy, for your wonderful videos, they’re always so helpful! I’m really looking forward to your Man Made Collection.
These were so helpful, thank you!
Just Stunning!
Thanks so much for the video as I was doing it wrong and your tips are very helpful. I love all the BotaniCuts and never tire of making them for all occasions.

Beautiful cards!
Can’t wait. Hoping for something classic and/or generic everyday for my guys. I’m sure it will be just right. Happy weekend!
I am so excited about masculine products coming! I always struggle with good cards for all the men in my family and Church family!
I will be back to watch both of these videos -thanks for placing them here!
Gorgeous tulips in and out of the pretty basket! Eager to watch your videos when I have more time. Hitting the road for a real in-person college graduation ceremony. Life is looking up in 2021…finally!
Thank you so much for the awesome videos!!
I thought of the Tulip Festival in Orange City while I watched this. Is that the festival you’re attending? We have gone only once, (I currently live in FL), 5 years ago, while we visited family in Le Mars. It was a lot of fun! The Stroopwafels are SO good! Have fun!
I am loving playing with the baskets, so fun!!
Thanks for these videos! I can’t wait to make some tulips! I haven’t even had a chance to play since my order arrived.
Oh wow!!! These are stunning! Love the details!!!
