Happy TGIF! I hope your week was great and hopefully you’ve had some spring sunshine in your neck of the woods! Winter was back here to remind us that it’s not spring just yet. But Norine’s helping us out today by sharing a birthday card that feels like a breath of fresh spring air!
Hello Greetery friends, Norine back with you today with a quick card that is pretty simple but still has big impact!

I started by using the Brick Layer die in two different positions to die cut a design on an A2 sized card panel. Rather than popping out all the die cut pieces, I covered the back with adhesive to keep them in place.
Next, I reached again for the Print Shop Floral Frame stamp set from the recent release and stamped a few more leaf clusters as well as a flower/leaf design. I die cut the stamped images and set them aside momentarily.
Then I ink blended with the Banner and Bough Stencil to create the banner. It is from last year’s Holiday Season release and has Christmas themed greetings that fit the banner but I didn’t let that stop me from making a birthday card today!
I selected one of the “Happy Birthday” greetings in the Sentiment Suite: Birthday stamp set and cut it in half. Then, via the magic that is a MISTI stamping tool, I was able to manipulate the stamps to curve and fit on the banner exactly as I wanted. I stamped with Versafine Onyx black ink and heat set with clear embossing ink.
I used some Glad Press ’n’ Seal to keep my arrangement together once I’d fiddled and futzed, then added liquid glue to the back and adhered it to the card front as a single unit. I trimmed the card panel slightly smaller than A2 size and matted it with some patterned paper in my stash. To finish the card off, I added a few matching enamel dots.
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

So. Never thought to use the Christmas Banner year round! Thank you! Your card is simply beautiful!!
This is great! After using the Banner and Bough set on my Christmas cards ,I was hoping more sentiments would come out to use with it! Wonderful card!
The simplicity of your card makes it so stunning!
So lovely Norine… I love how versatile all our sets are and can be combined to make such wonderful cards at all times of the year. TFS
NICELY DONE, Norine! I LOVE that you used pieces from different sets for this! ;)<3
Fabulous card, Norine! Love those colors and that gorgeous design.
Amazing Norine, that you think outside the box and mix 3 different sets to make a Birthday banner card. I think I must try to pick up too much with the Press and Seal, it never quite stays together like your’s. Happy weekend to you and Betsy too! (C’mon Spring!)
Beautiful card, love it! I just learned about using Press and Seal to keep everything in place, what a GREAT idea, it worked perfectly!!
What a lovely card! The Happy Birthday Banner is so perfect 🙂 Love the pretty color combo too, Norine!
That fantastic Misti, Great tricks this item can do. I’ve come a long way using the mini and then graduated up to the larger one. Beautiful card. Love the Greetery sets and dies.
Great ideas. Love how you used older sets with some of the new one. Haven’t used my brick die yet. Perfect!
What a refreshing birthday card perfect for any season! Love the brick background and gorgeous banner, Norine.
Love the card! Love the colors!
This is so great. I love the Banner and Bough set and was hoping we might see some other options for sentiments or greenery to help make it a year-round staple.
