I’m so excited to share my projects with you today! First off is a pretty, feminine card done in shades of blue and purple using the new Print Shop: Floral Frame set.
I put together a video while I was creating this card so that you can see this set in action. It is so easy and fun to see these pretty frames come to life. I love to play with different color combos.
The frame is perfect for surrounding so many of your favorite sentiments. Here I used the Opposites Attract set, one of my favorite sentiment sets. With the frame die being two separate dies, you have lots of design options. For this card I cut out just the center, popped up the floral panel and nested that inner diecut back inside after inking it with shades of blue and purple to match the florals.
My next card also uses the new Print Shop: Floral Frame set along with the Empty Grave sentiment set to create a pretty Easter card.
This time I diecut both the inner and outer parts of the frame and actually layered two of them over the top of each other, rotating the bottom one 180 degrees to create a fuller, double-layered frame. Foam adhesive gives it even more dimension. Inside the frame I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with gold powder. I finished off the inside of the card with some of the complementary sentiments from the Empty Grave set and also stamped a few of the individual flowers from the Print Shop: Floral Frame set around it.
Next I have a super colorful card with a much bolder look using Print Shop: Floral Frame. The frame die comes with a template for re-aligning the dies should you choose to snip them apart. That template is made from stencil material, so it also works great to use as a mask. I used it here to sponge black ink around the outer edges of the floral frame.
The flowers on the stencil included in the Floral Frame set are spaced far enough apart that it’s super easy to stencil them in lots of different colors like I did here. The black background really makes them pop! I added some white paint splatters to finish it off. This is a one-layer card, using the inner frame die to cut a window from the front to show the sentiment stamped inside (stamped with the Opposites Attract set). The pretty Put a Bow on It bow is the perfect finishing touch to the floral frame.
My next card uses some of the individual floral elements from the Print Shop: Floral Frame set. I created a pretty cluster and topped it off with the new bow from Put a Bow on It.
Doubling up is good when it comes to bows! Here I layered two of them – one yellow, one pink. I filled in around my flowers with greenery sprigs cut with the Boxwood Heart Details die. My little nosegay is layered over a couple of circles, cut with our two new circle die sets – Nordic and Crimped Circles. They’re pretty on their own, but even prettier layered together! Underneath that is a Nordic Frames rectangle, cut with our original Nordic Frames set.
Next I have another Easter card. This one uses the new Empty Grave sentiment paired with some of our Easter things from last year – Caring Cross and BotaniCuts Palm.
I had fun putting this one together using the new Crimped Slimline as a base. I diecut a panel of watercolor paper using the largest rectangle from the set. I added some soft, loose watercolor to the background. I diecut and stamped/stenciled the cross from Caring Cross and surrounded it with some BotaniCuts Palm diecuts. I stamped the Empty Grave sentiment onto the matching diecut, and diecut two more so I could layer them all together for added thickness. I stamped a companion sentiment from the set onto one of the banners from the Crimped Slimline die set. I double-cut the banner to create a shorter length to fit across my card front. The banner dies from the set are a bit longer – designed to be used along the longer side of the slimline die, but you can easily cut them down to fit across the narrow width for a portrait orientation as well. I just diecut the banner, stamped my sentiment closer to one end of the banner, then realigned my diecut back into the banner die and cut the opposite end shorter, if that makes sense! I finished off my design by adding gold splatters using a bright gold metallic alcohol ink.
Next I have a card that you might have caught a peek of in yesterday’s BotaniCuts Wildflower video. I use our new Nordic Slimline dies as the base and created a pretty linear bouquet of dainty wildflowers.
I had so much fun creating yesterday’s black slimline carrot card, this one was inspired by that one. The slimline canvas is just so new and refreshing to work with – it opens up all sorts of new design possibilities! I thought this would make a perfect wedding card, so I finished it off with a pretty love sentiment using a combination of things from our last release – the Let’s Have a Word: Love die and a sentiment stamp from the Love Is set. The Wildflowers were cut with the BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix die of course, and sponged with Distress Oxide inks, detailed with colored pencils. Of course I had to add some white ink splatters to finish the design – I can never resist!! 😊
My final project for today is a set of soft, pretty notecards that use the Nordic Slimline dies in a different way. I scored and folded the largest rectangle from the set down the center to create the notecard bases. It does create a bit of an odd size, so finding the perfect envelope might not be possible, but an A1 fits pretty well with just a bit of extra length – or you could always try making your own!
I used the medium-sized frame from the Nordic Slimline to cut the panel that layers over the base. I trimmed them in half, so one cut was enough for two notecards. On each panel I stamped some elements in gold ink – I used the outline image from the Sketchbook Roses set on a few of them, and some Pretty Postmarks elements on the others. Each one is topped off with a stem of wildflowers cut with the new BotaniCuts Wildflower Mix die. I kept these very soft and delicate. One other thing to note here is the combination of white and cream cardstock – I used to think using those two together was a no-no, but I am currently loving the way it looks!
That wraps up my projects today, but there’s more…

Please tell me where the “Just a note” sentiment came from. I have looked all over your website. Thanks
Hi Kaathy! That “just a note” sentiment is from our Signed & Sealed set. A little tip – the first photo of each project in our blog posts has all of the products used linked – just look for the little white dots. Hovering over them will show the name of the product, clicking the dot will take you to it in the shop. I hope that helps!
So beautiful and unique!
My order will arrive tomorrow & l’m itching to try the Nordic slimline dies! Thanks for these ideas
I absolutely love that floral frame!!! There should be a series of these kind of frames!
These are such neat card making designs and I appreciate the video to help see how to use them. I have watched several times and catch new things each time on the use of these stamps, stencil and dies. I am wondering what exactly you use as your sticky sheet in the Misti. I am new to the idea of sticky sheets.
[…] card just wouldn’t do, and this came out quite well. I must however, admit that I was CASEing this gorgeous card in The Greetery […]
